I have a pretty good size deck surrounding my pool that my husband and I have attempted to stain and seal previously, but man it was lookin rough by year 5. These guys showed up, about 6 of them maybe more I lost track, and they came to work. They turned on their music and got to it. They had the whole thing done in like 2 hours! First off, the estimate I obtained from them - in the fall of 2017 - was half that of a competitor, so they had my attention right there. While I delayed in accepting the bid until June of 2018, they still honored the original estimate. Which was pretty cool of them. Because these guys are popular and kind of a big deal, they weren't able to come out until October, but they were still able to fit us in despite that rainy rainy month. They clearly communicated their schedule by email, first two weeks in advance, then a week in advance, so that I was able to wrangle my fellow owners to be available to provide deck access. The crew was friendly, professional, enthusiastic, and delivered great results. The decks had not been cleaned and sealed in 5 years and they turned some sickly looking wood into healthy, glowing "did you just spend a week at the beach?" bronzed beauties. I was dazzled, and will definitely be giving them a call in another 5 years when our decks once again need to be gussied up for their close-ups.

Last year I contacted every company advertising deck refinishing in all the NW suburban area home…read moreshoppers and mailers. One quoted an outrageous price, two quoted half the figure, and two promised to come out for a quote and never showed up. All had a number of poor reviews of their work on line. I held off getting the work done. This spring I contacted Pro Coat. Dave Marion quoted a fair price for the job, and warned me that he couldn't guarantee the old botched finish could be completely removed. He said his crew would test a small area and only if they could satisfactorily clean it, would they do my entire deck. His men arrived within the time frame Dave had estimated, the test cleaning worked perfectly, and within the day my deck was stripped, brightened and looking like new. A few days later Pro Coat was back and the deck was stained in an afternoon. Great care was taken to cover the side of the house next to the deck so no over-spray could get on the siding or brickwork. The yard was left immaculately clean. Alfredo did a great job of evenly and thoroughly applying the new stain to the inside and outside of the deck, despite the surrounding hedge making it difficult. My deck now looks like new, and the results were far better than I thought could possibly be achieved. Any future work I need will be done by Pro Coat, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone.
