When we decided to go ahead with a new 10' x 12' deck this year, we chose Royal Deck out of several estimates we received. Royal Deck wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive. What set them apart from the rest was their level of customer service and attention to detail. Nick came to our home in a van designed as a rolling showroom. He was able to show us samples of deck colors, different types of rails/posts, and even offered several ideas that would make our deck look unique. One of these suggestions was to picture frame the floor of our deck, using a darker boarder around the edges of the deck. Another was suggesting we use the same color on the boarder on the railing, which beautifully compliments our deck, separated by white posts and spindles. Nick took the time helping us with our finished design, more than all other companies combined who submitted estimates. When it came to construction, Florin and Victor were pro's. They took great care in removing our old deck and building our new one. Everything from digging the posts, to constructing the floor joists, to the finished deck was done with skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail. Several times, Florin offered suggestions that we adopted which enhanced the look of our deck. One recommendations was to picture frame the steps to compliment the deck, something we hadn't thought of. Turned out great. Another suggestion was to box in or cover the exposed metal brackets from the posts/joists. Here, he and Victor custom built decorative enclosures to cover the hardware that turned out beautiful. The two of them worked nearly two weeks building our deck and when it was done it was a masterpiece. You can tell they took pride in their work, as every corner was exact, every board was evenly spaced, and the finished product solid as a rock and beautiful from top to bottom. The design and craftsmanship exceeded my wife and my expectations. We've had several neighbors compliment us on how nice our deck looks. We highly recommend Royal Deck. We recently (June 2021) selected Royal Deck to replace an old cedar deck and build a new addition with Trex decking material, and we could not be happier! From the very beginning of the process when Nick came out to our home to give us ideas and develop a proposal, he could not have been more professional or accommodating. Royal Deck followed up within a few days with computer generated graphics to give us a real idea as to what the new design would actually look like once it was constructed. The proposal was developed and we agreed to have them do the work. From that point on, Royal Deck took care of everything! They had the architectural plans developed, applied for the municipal permit, and added the new structure to our home's plat of survey. We were notified that the crew would start on Monday morning and at 7:00AM, they were on site and working. The construction team lead was Mike, and I must say that he was fantastic! His attention to detail and the quality of his work was top notch. My review will be a unique one as I stopped my project with Royal Deck. Raul was terrific in helping me get a better price competitive with two others. His communication and service were excellent. Then the demolition occurred. Alex kept me apprised with progress. Once I saw the completed demo, I became discouraged. There was a healthy, nicely sized concrete patio underneath. What I truly appreciated was that Alex initiated the conversation of what to do next- cut into cement (more money I did not want to pay), take the existing materials and cover another area (that I cleared and had no intention of decking), or what else. My first thought was to cover the other area, but I just could not. I had no intention of spending $19k on something I did not plan to do. Alex understood and allowed me to stop my project without any penalty. Who does that these days? I hated to do that to an honest company, even as Alex was always concerned about how I felt the company did. All work and materials were cleared immediately. I appreciate Alex's character. I have hired many contractors over the years and Royal Deck is one of the best that I have ever contracted. Royal Deck sent Alex to give us an estimate and he was on time, very knowledgeable and had a very useful truck load of examples/models of decks and railings to help us decided on the design and materials for our deck. Our project was a deck resurface from wood to composite materials along with completely replacing the deck's railings. I had previously hired a different contractor to do this project, but that contractor ghosted me after removing the old deck surface and railings along with making some needed structural modifications. Alex gave me a quote to finish the project that was fairly priced and was completed quickly within the time frame I requested. Royal Deck has just completed demolishing and reconstructing our 20 year old , 500+ ft. deck. From the initial consultation, through quoting, demolition, permit retrieval and construction the process was seamless. Alex gave us a time frame for completion and the project came in ahead of schedule. The crew often started at 7am and worked through 7pm. They were courteous and cleaned up all construction waste. Communication on the project was always prompt and thorough. Royal Deck employs the newest technology in creating the deck foundation which is cleaner, quicker and sturdier than the old post in cement systems. I have a large, multi-tiered deck that needed to be resurfaced. The work done included reinforcement in areas of the substructure as needed, replacing the deck surface, steps and all railings, and the addition of a soffit skirting. Royal Deck offered a variety of options to meet my requested needs while staying within my budget. The substructure framing and reinforcement done by Royal Deck resulted in the deck being significantly stronger than it was originally. Crews worked with total commitment, staring at 8 am and going straight through to 5 or 6 pm, including Saturday. The property was left clean at the end of each work day. In spite of weather delays, the project was completed within one week.
