Great work by this team. They took down the old rickety stairs on our deck and built beautiful new stairs on the side of the deck. They feel so sturdy when we go up and down them. They are lighted with Trex lights and it makes for such a nice look and they are so much safer now. Here's the bottom line: Warner's is a great builder of Trex decks! We started our project in the late summer when we decided that our old (30 + years!) deck had to be replaced. We settled on Warner's because from the beginning they responded quickly and thoroughly to our initial questions and concerns. Chris Warner himself came to discuss our options and costs. Our project ended up being somewhat complex because it involved working with the city to move our electrical service to meet current code requirements. During his visit Chris brought in his contract electrician and got on the phone with his contact in the city electrical department to answer some of our questions and get a rough estimate of the city fees for the move. Later in the project, Chris was able to manage several permit issues with the city. Basically, we never had to worry about any of the details. Warner's took care of everything. When the actual project started in late winter we were kept informed of progress by their outstanding front office staff. The demolition and construction crews were exceptional: high quality work, easy to talk to, and kept the work area cleaned up and safe. Several invisible house problems involving wood rot were identified and promptly fixed. They even replaced the entry door from the garage. (Some of this was unanticipated so Chris provided updated estimates of costs before carrying out the work.) The resulting Trex deck was actually above our expectations. Needless to say, we love it! And we have gotten many compliments from friends, family, and neighbors on the beauty of our new deck! We're sure its been a valuable addition to our property. It is rare that I will take the time to review a business like this, but with the amazing experience we had, it seemed almost sinful not to write one. We were in dire need of a new deck as our old wooden one had begun to rot. It was not only awful to look at, but it was quickly becoming dangerous. I decided to bite the bullet and save myself future headaches by going with the Trex product. I researched several companies approved to sell and install this product, and I liked what I read about Warner's. However, not having many good experiences lately with contractors, I was wary. I scheduled an initial appointment with Chris. He was very accommodating right off the bat in getting the right day and time we needed. He could NOT have been any nicer, more professional or more forthcoming on what we could expect. I liked the product very much, and I liked Chris' attitude and dedication to being a perfectionist. I hired him the same day. Unfortunately for us, we found Warner's late in the spring, so we had to wait until beginning of August before our project could start. It was WORTH THE WAIT. The crew that did all the work - Reed and Joel, to be specific - were FANTASTIC! Not only were they very nice, very funny and generally good guys, they were also very, very good at what they do. They were efficient, they were always on time (actually earlier than I would've believed), and they kept at it even in the rain (as long as it wasn't a downpour or lightening). They even treated our dog as part of the family and asked if she could be out with them sometimes. It was adorable.. "Can Sunny come out and play?" LOVED IT! On top of all this - they were helpful, professional and wonderful when an unexpected problem came up due to how our previous deck had been installed. When they removed the old deck, they realized the part of the house it had been up against was never properly sealed, and there was mold and rot on the outside wall. I went into a panic, and they were great about calming me down. Not only that, but they were able to fix it for us as part of the job, so the delay was minimal. I will be forever grateful for this. If you have been burned by contractors who are incompetent, unreliable con men, go for a breath of fresh air and choose Warner's. Is it cheap? No. However, it is more than on par with the cost of this product. And you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Faith in humanity restored. read more

We love our new deck! Warner Decking is a wonderful company that is professional, friendly, and does quality work. We were very pleased with their service and attention to detail. They were able to be flexible when needed. For example, the original plan for a staircase had to change because of a potential fire hazard of it being too close to a pool heater. The owner, Chris Warner, came out the next day and suggested some fixes. Chris is a really nice man who has decades of experience in building homes and decks. His team that had worked on our deck (Jay and Brian) were both super nice, professional, polite, and clean. It was amazing how clean they left the construction site each day. They always had a smile for us. And boy, did they build a beautiful and extremely high quality deck. If a hurricane came, we are positive that our house would be gone but our deck would be still standing. We were also impressed by the entire team. Sabina and Shelby were very nice on emails. They would send emails detailing what to expect, when the workers could not come because of weather (we had our deck built towards the end of winter and they couldn't work in the snow), and would return emails promptly. We got the impression that Warner Decking is both a top notch company but with an almost family feel. We would definitely hire Warner Decking in the future if need be (they also do kitchens and basements), and would definitely recommend them. A++! read more

We were looking for a maintenance free deck and found Warner from the Trex website. We decided to get a few estimates and our first clue that Warner's was probably going to be the best choice is that they were one of only two company to actually come out to our house. One of the other companies we contacted just wanted to do it over the phone, the other at least asked for pictures of the existing deck. The last company did come out, but used high pressure sales tactics, which really turned us off. Yes their estimate was a lot of money, especially compared to what we paid for our original deck, but frankly not much higher than the other estimates we had received. So we decided to go with Warner. We signed the contact in the middle of summer, so it took some time for them to start the job. In the interim, our existing deck was becoming a hazard, in fact my daughter actually stepped through a board one day. The next day I contacted Chris to see if they could take out the deck prior to actually starting the job. He said no problem and had a crew out within a day or two and they removed the existing deck in no time. Can't get more responsive than that! Once the job started, the crews could not have been any more efficient and responsive to our questions and requests. On inspection we had concerns about some of the joints being too far apart. They agreed and fixed the issues right away. There are still a few issues which they agreed to address in the spring, since we were in the height of winter when they finished. Our only complaint is that communication was not always smooth. They can be hard of get ahold of and it sometimes took repeated emails to get a response. That said, in the end we have a beautiful, solidly build, maintenance free, deck which will last for years and we could not be happier with Warner's work. Now we just can't wait for warmer weather so we can actually start enjoying the deck! read more
