I brought my own parts to Midway Auto Center for installation and was quoted $300 for the work. After they informed me additional parts were needed, I approved a revised total of $375. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was told the bill had increased to $645 without my knowledge or approval. Because I needed my vehicle to get to work, I had no choice but to pay the additional amount to have it released. I later contacted the shop to request a refund of the unauthorized charges, but my concerns were dismissed, and I was treated disrespectfully throughout the process. I believe customers should be notified and asked for approval before repair costs exceed the agreed amount. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. read more

Om 3/29/2025. My water pump went out at 1:30 am. On 3/29/2025 @ 8:30 am I was at the shop. The owner took great care of me and my z71. I had one last free oil change left at a Honda dealership, so I had gone in for an oil change and tire rotation, and sure enough, they were telling me I had to get some services done immediately and quoted me almost $500 for the work. I first Googled the recommended services and read that a lot of dealerships are trying to increase their revenue through the service department, so I decided to call a mechanic to get a second opinion. After Googling mechanics in Carrollton, I called Midway Auto. The guy I reached on the phone (I think he might be the owner?) was happy to answer my questions and told me that the air filter replacement is good to do but the other two services are just nice-to-haves. He also quoted me 30 something dollars for the air filter replacement (the dealership wanted $79.95 before taxes). As soon as I got my car back from the dealership, I drove straight to Midway Auto. There were no surprises when I got there in person and they even topped off my fluids (dealer had not done this for me). I even mentioned that my brakes felt weird driving over and they said they'd take a look. I was told that my brakes look fine and that it was probably in my head since the dealer told me I needed all this work done. I really appreciate that Midway Auto was honest and did not take advantage of me when they easily could have cooked up a story about my brakes or something else to get a pay day. The owner is a SCAM ARTIST! Read this or regret it! Took my car in to have the AC diagnosed because it stopped cooling. As soon as I said the words "AC," the owners eyes lit up at the chance to scam a high price ticket, and he ran to the counter like a bridge troll with a purpose. He explained that he would hook my car up to a machine, vacuum out all the refrigerant, then put in new refrigerant for $59.99 (their current special). He then tells me 5 minutes later that my AC needs replacing, and that it would take atleast 8-10 hours, and that I would need to replace "many many" parts. I tell him I'm going to speak to my wife regarding the repair and get back to him. Time to pay, he charges me $96+ for the work. I asked him why a higher charge (than $59.99 advertised special), and tells me that's the price for the 2lbs of refrigerant they put in (even though my car will only hold 1.5lbs). I asked him if he was sure that they did the service, because I never saw his mechanic hook my car up, and again asked if he was sure they put in 2lbs of refrigerant, to which he responds, "I wouldn't say I did the work if I didn't." I reluctantly pay (Because I've read other reviews about him being threatening and posturing to other customers) and ask about the complimentary car wash, he says "I only honor that if you spend $200." Firstly, not true, because we bring other vehicles here for oil changes and light services (we won't ever again), and always get a free Carwash. Then I show him the coupon on yelp for a free car wash and he says "I will not honor that. No. Not for Yelp. Not Yelp, No." So, now for the juicy stuff.....I get home and hook a meter up to my system (see picture included) and....wait for it.....NO REFRIGERANT AT ALL! NO OIL, PRESSURE, NOT COOLING to the touch, NOTHING! Just got back from another shop, and they confirmed it too and actually did the service and repair. There were no leaks found either, so no excuses. Other shop confirmed there was zero vacuuming done too, zero refrigerant added, so zero service from Midway, for $96. What a Scam! I called Amex and we're disputing his phony charge with photo evidence and receipts from both shops to prove it. Look this joker up, he has multiple law suits pending, don't become his next one...Go elsewhere! Thank me later! Ps, I called Midway to let them know they were busted, and they immediately blamed the employee (who turns out wasn't even an AC like the owner swore), and said it was a mistake. It wasn't though. It was simply a part of their "summer scam AC service package." They even had the stones to charge me hazmat fees and parts charges for work they didn't do, and billed the job at 2.5 hours, even though i was in there for about 24 minutes. Total, Scam. Period. I called yesterday and spoke with someone who quoted me $375 to put on an alternator and a starter. It was supposed to be $125 per hour. I went and purchased parts yesterday. When I arrived, I verified the price with the lady at the desk again. She said 3 hours of labor for $125 per hour ($375) and "it may take LESS TIME SINCE YOU BROUGHT YOUR OWN PARTS." Her words, not mine. However, when I arrived to drop my car off, got ready to leave, and called an uber, the lady at the front said it would cost $500+. I understand that things change but do not lie. I would have taken my car to someone else. A starter is not hard to put on. Also, I had other things to do today. Noone called me when the car was ready like they said they would. (Lie #2) I asked the lady why the price changed (because she knows they were lying about the time it took for them to work on my car.) I guess because they knew I dropped my car off, I could not physically see whether or not it was being worked on. So they added an hour to the quoted time. THIEVES! I do not care how many times you apologize, if you're a liar, I will never trust you again. My uber driver asked me why I left my car with them. I asked him did he know anything and he said he received horrible service from them. I should have known that the service was not going to be any better with me. Extremely frustraded with this company. I have an older Jetta with alot of miles. 185k. As volkswagon owners know the AC sucks. First repair Ac- Fans $360 cold ac for 5 days. Second repair- more freon no charge. Third repair- change of spark plugs 275.00 car is still sparactually stalling loss of power. fourth repair oil change to high mile oil 75.00 fifth repair another ac freon add for 95.00 this past tuesday quoted almost 800 for ac condenser once again ac not blowing cold. now i have to replace hoses attached as my car will not hold fluid and needs to be filled every time I go somewhere. thinking this place doesnt do the work and or creates additional issues to create additional revenue. watched a dodge durago run into a ford 150 with a black rollbar from the carwash to the end of drivewy damaging front end because there was no attendant person to retrive off car wash belt. Update: Just fyi,super grateful with everything Amir has done for me. However, this last go around was superdifferent. Scheduling was done and I thought everything was set. There were notes to call if the job took over 2 hours, budget. It did and no one called. Nothing. Last time they extracted two bolts for the time it took for this one. Instead of paying 185, I paid almost 400. No call nothing. That is not good business practice at all. I did go back and talk with them about this and after a small discussion, they decided to refund me the two hours and never work on my Porsche again. That is a shame because alittle communication could have gone a long way. I've worked on my car, I know jobs can be extended, but lack of communication about an extra 200$ is an issue on a budget. In the past Amir has done a great job communicating and working with me (5 star service). Now will give this place 1-3 stars because of that, but the place really needs another guy like him there. I went in today for a state inspection, this was my second time around apparently( I genuinely don't recall going there before but my number was in their system). After leaving I received a text Message from someone I thought i knew until the person said "THIS IS HARRY FROM MIDWAY AUTO CENTER" they proceeded to ask me out to lunch. Can u imagine the shock and confusion I felt. After calling the number the person on the phone proceeded to lie and tell me that I gave him my number a year ago when I went in for my first inspection, he then described my previous plates and told me that he's only calling now A FULL YEAR LATER because he saw me again today and before he could speak I was gone. That is a full fledged lie, for one I've never seen this harry person a day in my life, I don't give my number to anyone, and no offense or discrimination on whoever this person is but you're definitely not my type so I know for a fact I would never give them my number nor did I talk to anyone the first time around. What this person did was look in the system were I provided my information for a service and used it for their own personal pleasure. The fact that this harry person spelled my name correctly is How I know for a fact he got my name out of their system. Whoever this person is is sick and disgusting and I will be posting this on social media, I believe he saw me waiting in the waiting room and proceeded to do this once I left. I went in for a service and the worker took advantage. I actually thought the front desk worker, I believe his name is Ahmed was nice and I was planning on using their services again until this happened. And Before someone responds no one works there by the name of harry the phone number is registered under "Alrimawi Hawari" and when he answered he was speaking Arabic to the other workers in there. Sloppy work, poor service and bad business ethics... These guys put a dent in the hood and bent the grille of my Mercedes-Benz SL500. When I came back the next day to tell them about it the manager claimed it wasn't their fault if they closed the hood and it got dented. He made me so angry for not taking responsibility that I almost jumped over the counter. And the last time they changed the oil on my BMW they forgot to put the screw back in the oil pan cover. As I drove off it was bent backwards by the road surface and needed to be replaced. Read the rest of these reviews, this is not a one-off, this is a pattern of sloppy work, poor service and bad business ethics. Why take a chance with your car by going to a place like this?... that is what I'm asking myself now. Brought my car in for them to check the fluids and brakes just one day after getting a brand new hood and grille installed. Yes, the hood assembly was brand spankin new. I came back towards the end of the day and paid my invoice, drove it home, parked it in the driveway and opened the garage door. Looking back to admire the new hood I saw a big dent near the emblem where they slammed it shut. Plus the grille was bent where they tried to lift the hood with it instead of lifting it at the edges. And the finish was scratched where they tried to wipe off their fingerprints with a dirty rag. My heart dropped to the ground in disappointment, which quickly turned to frustration and then to anger. Immediately I took pictures and sent them in an email to document the issue. They never responded to the email and when I went in to speak with them the next day, instead of taking a position of discussion and resolution, they took the position of confrontation and denial. The next week I came back with my lawyer. The mechanic who worked on the car admitted to having a hard time opening the hood and denting it when he closed it, but they still won't take responsibility for the grille, even though he admitted having a hard time opening it. And when he called his buddy mechanic over and said remember this car, he came over and pulled on the grille to open the hood. My lawyer believes that the evidence is against you. Im going to give the short version. I gave consent to change the spark plugs and fuel injectors and told if the injectors didnt fix the issue SAM would take them out and return the entire kit and i wouldnt be charged. after that all the excuses they made were the part vendor sent the wrong part, next one sent took a week to arrive, week later part was defective. Lie after Lie every time id check in just listened to the sorry excuses. i could keep on going but to sum it up. almost 3 months later the owner calls me saying I owe almost $5,000 and will have to tow it to the dealership to finish what they claimed they did. Even replaced the side mirror because it was cracked. Unbelivable put these are just some of the facts. They put a lien on the car and now are trying to sell it to cover the outrageous amount of fraudulent charges. They mailed the notices to my mothers house. Forms Ive never seen and forged my signature. My signature is very unique and hard to read. Im not sure who signed the authorization form but i didnt. So if you like being robbed blind by ex cons that should of stayed on the carwash side go for. Im now building my case and taking this thrashy so called auto shop of criminals to curt and im very confident im gonna win! will add more at another time and updates. read more

This place has changed hands several times in the last few years but the current ownership is probably the best. They are always polite and fast. I have them for oil changes, AC repairs and car washes of course. :-) I love having my car all clean after an oil change. They have made lots of improvements to their waiting room areas so it isn't torturous waiting for service. I did price tires here once but they were too expensive. What I found appealing about this business is that they are honest with their work, if you ask them where they are getting the parts from they'll tell you. They are upfront about their prices, and personally I find them to be more reasonable than any firestone, ntb, service first that I've been too! I had to get an oil change and inspection. I came on a Tuesday morning so they took my car right back. The synethic oil change came with a free car wash, and fluid check. The guys at the front desk were nice. I was presented with my air filter to show me how "dirty" it was and a suggestion to get a new one. Yes it was "dirty" but could I have waited until my next oil change...Yes! I got it replaced anyways since I was there. I was excited for the car was because I desperately needed one and the wash included vacuuming inside as well. I wasn't excited when I got my car back from the car wash. The exterior was clean but I didn't see any signs of vacuuming. I'm not sure how you advertise vacuuming but then you don't touch the seats?. I was ready to go once I seen my car come.out of the car wash, just to be told "oh give us a minute to put in the air filter"....ummm why wasn't that done 20 minutes ago when you brought me the old one to look at....hmmm... whatever. I had to have my CV axle replaced on my 2014 Nissan Rogue. Nissan of Frisco told me that I would need to leave my vehicle for 4 days without a loaner or shuttle, just to get it diagnosed, at a cost of $185 just for the diagnosis! Ridiculous! I called Midway, & spoke with Sood. Within 10 minutes of my arrival Sood had my vehicle up on the rack. He brought me back to let me actually look at the damaged CV axle & also checked the motor mounts & stabilizer bar while I watched!! I agreed to the repair at a very reasonable cost. The new CV axle was installed & the repair was completed.. & I was in & out in about 2.5 hours! Sood was very reasonable, totally transparent, genuinely nice, very professional & knowledgeable! I took my car to Midway Auto Center in Carrollton, TX to just get my oil changed and found out that is place runs a scam to try to get you to do unnecessary repairs while you are waiting for your car. They offer a free car wash with your oil change to lure you into their trap. T I was waiting to get my oil changed and the service rep walked over to a girl sitting next to me who was also waiting and showed her a list of things that "needed to be done on her car". One of the things I heard him say was that she needed new shocks at $181 per shock and that her car was "bouncing up and down". I later saw she was driving an almost new Honda Accord that am sure did not need new shocks. Later, the service rep pulled the same thing on me and presented a list of things that needed to be done on my car with the comment that "if you do it all today, I can knock off 10%". One thing that was on the list was that my tires needed to be rotated and that would cost $20. I had just had my tires rotated about a week ago. When my car came out of the car wash, I saw that my Panama hat that was in the backseat had been crushed. All the items that were on the floorboard in the back had been thrown up into the seat and everything was on the hat. I took the hat into the office of the car wash and spoke with the manager; a middle easterner looking man named Sam. I told Sam I would like to be reimbursed for my hat and he refused to reimburse me. He said if he did, then he would have to reimburse everyone else that claimed their property was damaged. It sounded like this happened quite a bit. He then blamed it on me and said I should have told them to be careful with the hat. Fraud! Fraud! Fraud! Read the bad reviews and ponder how much they likely paid for the favorable ones. Fraud #1 - Midway first stipulated 4 parts would need to be replaced to repair my AC system; however, it didn't make sense that my AC system would suddenly have BOTH 2 failed switches AND clogged lines, so I called two other garages and verified that AC failure does not happen in that way. A reputable facility then confirmed the switches (actuators) were in fact working. Fraud #2 - The $600 in parts midway quoted were charged at 4 to 5 times the cost of the same part at Autozone AND Midway assured me that the higher prices reflected their cost. Fraud/Crime #3 - On notifying Midway of the fraud, and of how the fraud rendered the contract unenforceable, Nadir threatened physical assault in his attempt to prevent me from legally removing my property. Fraud/Crime #4 - On serving written notice that the contract was breached by his fraud, and subsequently nullified by me, Nadir called to threaten break into my property to steal the vehicle. He did not care that the law would make that grand theft auto. The police are now en route to my house to take the complaint I am making to help ensure conviction should he follow-through on his threat. Stay safe, shop somewhere else. Called ahead, was told over the phone 90 for 4 wheel alignment. Came in, was told over the counter again, 90$ for 4 wheel alignment. 11:30-3:30 no word. Didnt think an alignment would take 4 hours. Callup, told me car was ready, got a call back after that they needed one more hour. Go up an hour later to be told that they couldnt do the front, and the rear had not been aligned as they dont do the rear? 90$ and i would have only recieved an alignment in the front? But theres more! They couldnt even do the front with some issues with the front tie rod. Waste of time! read more
