I've read other reviews that left me hesistant but I wanted to experience for myself whether the accusations were true. I found my experience very easy and uplifting. Staff was very nice and even offered to help keep running the free dryer for me when I stepped away for a bit. They were resourceful and made the process easy. I've already made a second visit. The times I've gone there's plenty of washer and dryer access. While there's no a/c they keep it running with fans for air flow. I highly recommend it. It's a bit cheaper than other spots in the surrounding area. read more

I would consider myself a regular, doing laundry every Sunday. Once the place was sold to new ownership it's been a disaster. They let go the most bubbly person who was one of the reasons why I kept coming back. Then they started to remodel and take out benches for people to sit and wait. I decided to switch my laundry day to a Saturday, I arrived at 8:20 and no lights, no sign out, nothing was open. I go up and take a picture and it's stating Saturday they open at 7am. That's a lie. Very frustrating to pack a car full of dirty clothes and come knowing you won't be doing laundry. Losing business as we speak. New owners need to get it together. Very upset. read more

Midtown Laundry - Sign of hours and not being open when they say they are - Laundromat Near Me - Sacramento, California

I watched the girl who works there take a dirty floor mat from the bathroom and put it straight into a laundry cart. My clothes smelled like fried food when I got home. Last time I ever go there. I recommend the Love Laundry on K. The original one. Always clean. Always great service. read more

Don't go here. Someone stole some of my towels in the dryer. Their machines ripped holes in my linens. On top of all that, their prices are super high. read more

Never again. Machines are very dirty, they only wash for 25 minutes, dryers only give 4 minutes per quarter, no restrooms, no place to wash your hands, the guy who's the owner (or maybe just an employee) is somewhat passive aggressive. Went here today and he "accidentally" bumped me with some laundry he was carrying. Bad customer service and very poor washing experience. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!! read more

I usually use LOVE laundry but I hadn't gone in weeks and I had a lot to do so I thought I'd try midtown as they were cheaper. On my very first visit I walked in empty handed to ask some questions, mostly just to see if they had capacity to accept my items, if they offered low-heat or no-heat drying options, and whether the laundry should be sorted or if they would handle items based on material. The guy with the British-sounding accent was pretty short with me, acted like he thought I should know how things worked and generally made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. I apologized for not having my things sorted and asked for a basket to do so. Then he weighed my things and gave me a ticket for pick-up in a week. I sent my dad to pick-up bc I was busy and when he got there, the had hung my items to dry instead of drying them on low/no heat, and they had no idea which hung items were mine. The lady held up items and had my dad take photos to send to me to confirm if they were mine!!! A couple of weeks later when I wanted to wear a pair of white jeans to thanksgiving dinner, I noticed that I didn't get any of my whites back! I had no white socks, no white tees, and was missing two pair of white jeans. Ugh. I called the store and a lady apologize profusely and said someone would call me back. The new owner called me and apologized. He said he thought they'd found my stuff and I could come in to pick it up. When I got there, there stuff they thought was mine was someone else's, and they had no idea whose it was. They would have just given it to me if I'd said it was mine, just like with my hang-dry clothes, and now my missing whites. I wasn't going to post a review, but my mom just asked if I ever got my stuff back and when I said no told me I should share my experience so others don't have to. read more

It's a little hard to define all that was wrong with this experience. When I went to pick up my "freshly laundered" clothes. After they had called and said they were finished...they had line dried them (p.s. I was there because my dryer was broken and I was leaving on a trip so I needed to pack my stuff into a suitcase) so I picked up sopping wet clothes. I had also washed a load of jeans. When I came back, the cycle had stopped and so they were still wet and I was now going to be late for an appointment. I asked the man if the dryers came open and he offered to show me the "good" dryers to use. Umm. No. That is not the solution here. Now, my clothes that are STILL WET upon my return to Sacramento, two days later, are musty and I will have to wash all of them again. Also, they won't let you roll the laundry baskets out to your car, so prepare to carry in all your clothes. read more

It's not the prettiest or fanciest laundromat, but it serves it's purpose. I've wash a few things over the years and everything has turned out ok. read more

Nice, small laundry place on P st in midtown. I like to do my own laundry, but you can drop it off for same-day service most of the time. They have many size washers and really nice dryers. The price is right at about $1.25 a wash and $0.25 for 10 mins of drying. read more

I walked in and walked out. Place is dirty, looks like they never finished construction. No credit card / debit card readers on any machines. There was no free dry. Everything cost quarters. But I thought we were in a coin shortage. Smelled like pee inside as well. read more

Haven't gotten clothes back yet (from drop off and delivery service) but absolutely DELIGHTFUL interactions so far. They responded to my inquiry for into lightning fast and with a friendly and professional tone. When I arrived the place was clean and orderly and I could see packages of packed clean, folded stuff looking top shelf. The couple running the place were friendly and super helpful. Entire feeling so far was that one you get when you find your new next best spot - a family owned/run shop. If I don't log in to edit that means that delivery and result were equally top notch!!!! read more

Clean. Tons of washers and dryers. Washers come in various sizes at various prices. They have top-loading and High Efficiency washers. I did a huge load in a triple-load washer for $4.50 and I only spent $1.25 on the dyer to get them all dry. There's a cafe, liquor store, bar, and Subway all next door or on the block. Street parking is available as well as a fairly large parking lot adjacent. If you want to drop off your laundry and have them clean and fold it for pickup later on, it costs $1 per lb. of laundry. They have free wifi for while you wait if not interested in going to nearby places. I was hesitant to use a public laundromat because I've only had my own W/D or used the apartment complex kind, but this was no big deal. In fact, I liked it better than the Apartment complex laundry centers I've used in years past! Apparently good prices too! I uploaded a photo of their rates versus other laundromats in town. read more

This is my favorite Laundromat for a few reasons: - Always ample parking in the off-street lot. - Drop off service (I don't use it, but I could if I wanted to). - Decent prices. I use the top load washers because they will take a bigger load for less money, those two conditions are always important. One wash in a top loader is $1.75 if you use cold water. - Mellow environment. - There's a café that serves coffee, breakfast, sandwiches and gyros next door as well as a chain deli, a mini mart and a bar all neighboring this place, so you can easily pass the time. - Free WiFi - Cheap, powerful dryers. The only downside I have experienced so far is that run times on their machines are inconsistent; the same cycle on one washer will be 28 minutes on one and 31 minutes on the same model right next to it. Same thing with the dryers, which are all the same. It would also be nice if they turned on the AC more often, they've done it before so I know it's there. Yep, good place. read more

Midtown Laundry - Laundromat Near Me - Sacramento, California

It's a busy place with limited machines. But it's a great place to wash it you can find what you need.

Nice friendly people. The front counter guy from England is super cool and knows what he's doing. They do a really nice job with clothes and also bedding and fluff and fold service. Highly recommend. I met the owner recently. Really nice people. 5 stars. read more

I've never came across a more rude, unorganized, unprofessional business owner in my life. I have a business and I'm not sure how this place is still in operation. The owner never greets or acknowledges me when I come in. And to boot never has change when trying to pay for service. How do you run a business and not have $40 for change when people customers are trying to give you money!? I've had to on multiple occasions go to the liquor store next door to get change and do their work for them. I love the other attendants but that owner is the reason I'll never come back. read more

Super-friendly staff and a clean laundromat. The equipment is in great condition and their wash/fold service is quick and affordable.

Great service. Super friendly. Always gets my laundry done in a timely manner. Folded nice and smelling fresh! Thanks Midtown Laundry

Racist ownership . Do not use . Dirty and smelly . Avoid using this facility at all cost . Not veteran friendly . Bad service . Avoid!!!!

One of the worst laundry mats I've ever been to. Most of the machines were occupied (I think it was attendant doing laundry) when there was no one there. And the ones not occupied were out of service. The machines are incredibly small for the price you're paying. The machines at Love Laundry are way bigger. The PayRange app and the machines were not all in sync. There were 2 machines that wasn't available on the app PayRange which should have been. The machine and PayRange app at the dryers are confusing as heck. The whole vibe is dead. I'm guessing this is a good place to drop off clothes but not to do your own laundry. Just had a horrible and frustrating experience. read more

Recently dropped off laundry for wash and fold. They lost a big heavy blanket of ours and all they said was sorry it's not here. No store credit even though we paid for it upfront, no solutions, nothing. Disappointing. Would not recommend. read more

I recently visited Midtown Laundry for my first laundromat experience. I typically do my laundry at my apartment's communal laundry room, but I needed a larger machine to clean a king-size comforter. The gentleman working at Midtown Laundry was very helpful. He showed me how to work the machines and explained the pricing. He even loaned me three large softballs that I used to prevent the comforter from balling up while in the dryer. While I was doing laundry, a friendly customer mentioned that if you do your washing before 9:00 am, Midtown Laundry will pay for the dryer. I did not confirm this with the attendant, but the woman seemed like a knowledgeable, frequent customer. The change machine takes all bills, but if you need smaller bills, the attendant will change them for you. read more

I will be making this my regular spot for dry cleaning! Staff here was very pleasant and conscientious the two times I have visited so far. Positives: 1. They open at 7 a.m. every day which means you can pick up dry cleaning before work, in a pinch! That was my main reason for choosing, but was pleasantly surprised by other positives. 2. Free off-street parking lot 3. Located next to a convenience store 4. Only charged 10 bucks to dry clean a two-piece suit 5. Was notified by text that it was done a day early (I love the text notification convenience) The first gentlemen that I met was very knowledgeable and professional. The girl that I met when picking up my suit was very considerate and helpful. She even asked how I wanted my change! My suit came back fresh-smelling and appeared to have been pressed. I've tried other services in midtown and this place was exceptional by comparison. I can't vouch for how it is during the day, but in the evening hours it was quiet and very clean. Loved it and will be going back! read more

recently moved to midtown so this was my first wknd without my own W/D. my bf and i decided to go to midtown laundry since it was fairly close and had good reviews. we weren't sure how much it'd cost, so we brought $20 in quarters. all together we had 2 medium sized loads, 1 small load, and a load of blankets. it was a busy Sunday morning but we were still able to find enough machines to use. we were in and out in about an hour and had used up the full $20. not sure if that's good or bad since this was my go around w a midtown laundromat. may try out other laundromats in the area just to compare prices but wouldn't mind coming back to this one in the future. read more

$1 dollar per pound. Washed, smelling good, and folded. Then wrapped in cellophane and ready for pickup. If you don't have time to do your laundry, drop it off to them and they'll have it done pronto...and depending on how busy they are, you might be able to get it the same day. I have been very satisfied with the friendly and speedy service the couple of times I've been here. I wish they had a TV so I could watch the Giants while I do a load. The do-it-yourself aspect is the same as any other place: bring coin and wait. Machines work good and wash clothes well. Staff was friendly as ever and didn't make me feel lazy for not doing my own. I highly recommend this place for fluff and fold!! Oh and free dryers weekdays before 9am!! read more

They don't reimburse the cost of a malfunctioning washer. I managed to pick one that does not drain and was left with a pool of soapy clothes. Employee was disinterested in attending to the matter. I guess this is a norm here. Definitely choose this laundry mat over better/friendlier laundry mats if you like to gamble with your money and time. read more

I have been coming to Midtown Laundry for about two years now --always on a Sunday morning and with no complaints. Jason, the attendant, is a pleasant, amiable, British fellow who always greets me when I arrive and wishes me well when I depart. The owner also often stops by and is equally friendly. With the multiple machines at reasonable prices as well as minimal foot traffic at seven in the morning, I am able to complete my week's worth of laundry in a little over an hour. This is much faster and more convenient than the two machines I have at my apartment complex. Midtown Laundry is close enough to make the drive worth it. read more

I'm a local acupuncturist, and I've _finally_ decided to let go of washing 30-50 pounds of sheets every week by myself. A massage therapist friend recommended Midtown Laundry, and I'm so glad he did. Pros: A buck a pound is a glorious price for fluff and fold. Super friendly staff. The magic voodoo they perform that makes my sheets about 100x softer than they have ever, ever been. Cons: Only con is that their fitted sheet folding doesn't come close to matching my hypercompulsive, Martha Stewart-educated skills. But that is a very, very small price to pay. Thanks Midtown Laundry. See you next week. read more

I love this place. I am not a fan of laundry mats but this is the best!! I think they usually are not as clean as I like but not Midtown. This laundry is clean and staffed with very friendly people. I thought of using them while I got a washer and dryer of my own in my new place. I won't be getting a washing machine or dryer. It is so cost effective to use them it doesn't make sense doing the laundry yourself. Your clothes and linens are going to smell FAB and you will like the staff and save money. First off, dirty. Dirty floors, walls and top of the washers are dusty. Went on Memorial Day. Person giving change moaned when I needed change for a twenty. Plus half of the washing machines didn't even work. Next time I'll go back when the owner is there since reviews say they are nice. read more

When my home laundry doesn't fill the bill then I head for my neighborhood-friendly Midtown Laundry! Locally-owned and operated, it's one of the best laundry deals in town. Actually, maybe the best. Check prices at other laundromats - wait do they actually still call them that? You can do your own or drop-off and pick-up -- and nicely folded, too! New machines, clean, and friendly management. Earlier review complained about lack of WiFi. Well, no more. Free wireless folks. I will agree the benches aren't comfortable the environment is very comfy. So if you find yourself in need of laundry services. head to Midtown Laundry. read more

Super Clean, never busy, affordable. Those are the best ways to describe Midtown Laundry. I recently started using Midtown Laundry, and I am very happy with the business. I have never had an issue here. The location is always clean, there is always a machine available, there are not shady folks hanging around, which is nice, and allows me to get other errands done rather than hanging out at the laundromat. They have both top and front load washers, with the top loads costing a little less. Am an a big fan of the large load washers. I don't sort laundry, so I like that I can get all my clothes, towels, and sheets in one load. Other Perks: Change Machine and free WiFi (although I'm never there long enough to utilize the WiFi.) read more

Best place in midtown for laundry. They have a really nice laundry bag for only 8 bucks! I recommend getting one, they are large, and can fit a whole bed set, comforter included! Quarter machine onsite and the dryers are 0.25 per 8 minutes and have about a 3-4 load capacity. read more

My husband and I have been living in Midtown and using their Drop Off wash & fold services for almost a year. Their prices cannot be beat! Their drop off service is cheaper per pound than what it cost to do a load of laundry at our apartment complex. I appreciate the proper care of my delicates, and quick turn around. We have dropped off more than 50 lbs of items to be washed after we moved from one apartment to another, and had our stuff back in less than 24 hours. Everything neatly folded, grouped together or organized; even my dress shirts put on hangers, and sheets folded so well they could fit back into the plastic-zipper pouch they came in!! read more
