Yellowtail Nigiri

Hidden sushi gem. The fish here tastes so fresh and the restaurant itself is very clean and spacious. I'd stick to the sushi, the ramen felt like Chinese egg noodles in salty broth.

Had a very nice dinner at Midori Sushi. The inside of the restaurant was very nice and clean, the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the sushi was pretty good! Great prices and portions. I hope to return to try other menu items soon.

I love this new Japanese restaraunt. It has great food selections, the restaraunt is clean and warm, and the staff is friendly. I had the lunch bento box on this visit. It was plenty of food for $12. The miso soup has lots of tofu and seaweed. The broth was rich and cloudy. The bento box had five items. The sticky rice was cooked just right. It was soft and slightly sticky. I enjoyed the marinated beef and salad. The rolls were small but the bento box still provide plenty of food for my lunch tummy. I also like the small subtle touches such as the background Japanese music, wet towel at the end of the meal, and custom made wooden booths. Hopefully, you will also enjoy a delicious meal here. Let me know how your experience turned out.

Inari Classic

Just as I'm about to move away from Philadelphia, a cute sushi place opens a block away. Of course, right? Reasonable prices, super sweet restaurant workers, and lots of variety. They have a large array of food from ramen, poke bowls, sushi, and cooked Asian food. I got the California Nigiri special which has salmon, tuna, eel, and shrimp nigiri with a California roll. I wasn't a fan of the tuna as it had a bit of an after taste, but it might have been just that cut. I also got an order of inari sushi! Super yummy iykyk. Hope this place makes it! At least hopefully this year is better for restaurants!

I hadn't had sushi since -- how long was quarantine? -- about that long. Well maybe once but it was disappointing. So the stakes were high for Midori, a Queen village newcomer with just 6 Yelp reviews. Cut to the chase: it lived up to any dreams I had about sushi. And I'm already plotting my next visit. It's a sparse but clean space with 3 private booths, a banquette and a few tables. With one other table filled, I felt comfortable, but would have if it were busier as it's airy and social distancing-friendly.. The service is prompt and polite and they have "call buttons" like on a plane or in a hospital in case you need to get the staff's attention. There's a lunch menu with tons of $10 options give or take, including rolls plus miso and salad, or hot dishes like teriyaki, and a poke bowl which I HIGHLY recommend. The tuna was red, fresh, and plentiful. The avocados perfectly ripe. Rice well-seasoned. Spicy mushrooms delicious, and something that looked and tasted like mango, but I'm uncertain (and don't care) if it was. Perfect umami. Give this new small business a shot -- I think you'll be happy.

A cute small sushi / Japanese restaurant. Poke bowls were really good but portions were kinda small. Relatively empty when we went and got served quickly, waiters were nice and loved the overall ambiance! Definitely worth checking out :)

Every dish has its own personality, and the flavors actually pop. You genuinely feel good eating here. The rice is cooked perfectly, everything is fresh, and you can tell there's real care behind the food. It doesn't feel like you're just grabbing a quick healthy meal. It feels like a completely different dimension of what "healthy" food can be. Both chicken options are incredible and my go to every time. The Jamaican dry rub chicken is on another level, and when you pair it with the Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes, it will take you straight to another galaxy. It's the kind of meal where you pause mid bite just to appreciate it. The sauces are a whole experience on their own. They're healthy, packed with flavor, and they let you try as many as you want, which just adds to the fun. Real Food Eatery is a sleeper and one of the best under the radar spots in the city. We ordered the lemon tahini chicken, which comes with your choice of rice or greens. You can also split the base, so we did half rice and half greens. The meal includes two sides, and we chose the carrots and broccoli, then added a third side of cauliflower. Depending on how hungry you are, the portion was big enough for both of us to share and still feel completely full. Everything was fresh and really flavorful. The lemon tahini chicken was especially delicious. It's not a fancy sit-down restaurant, but the food quality is excellent and the service was exceptional. Most importantly, it's great knowing there are places we can go where she can eat safely without worrying about gluten. We would definitely return without question.

The menu looks so interesting and everything sounds wonderful. I got the Colonial wrap. First, I hated the cranberry aoili. Fortunately, I only put it on half. I should have tasted it first. But, that was my fault, and I would not be writing this review because of one item. I would just use a different dressing from my refrigerator. What I disliked were the tiny cubes of processed turkey all the same size. Real turkey would be differing sizes. And then I kept feeling pebble like pieces. I was afraid if I bit into them, I would break a tooth. I finally realized they were the bacon. I like my bacon well done and crispy, but... . And this was the better part of my order. The gnocchi lasagna went into my refrigerator for dinner. But, I opened it first and it seemed greasy. When I took it out, the grease had congealed on top. I tried removing it, but that hardly helped. As far as the taste, I could have opened my mouth and poured down salt. There was plenty for two servings. I ate two forkfuls and the second was to see if it was really as bad as I thought. It was. It had so much promise. It brings me no joy to write this. But, I thought my opinion should be known since that is why people read these reviews. The chocolate chip cookie was good

The cauliflower is cooked so well... it has a nice bite to it without being a raw crunch. I've also tried all of the other seasonal plates over the summer and early fall. Sweetgreen always adds several new feature items to its array of options each season. We get to experience items like mozzarella balls, heirloom tomatoes, maple glazed brussel sprouts, jammy tomatoes, and more all for a reasonable price. The salads and bowls are all well thought out combinations, but I like to mix it up a little bit by adding my favorites and subtracting other items. The beautiful thing is the total transparency of the price right on the app. As you build your salad or bowl, your final price is updated continuously. The app is great! My favorite meat protein is the roasted chicken. It is done REALLY WELL. Like... they deserve a prize of some kind for the chicken... at least for the Sweetgreen on 18th and Chestnut. I'm not as fond of the salmon or the garlic steak, but your mileage may vary. You might really like them. Every veggie is always super fresh. And service is always with a smile. Whoever is hiring the current crew is doing a great job because the food is always prepared really well and the servers are always really nice. Thank you, Sweetgreen, for your continued excellence!

Hot honey chicken bowl. Remove the sweet potatoes, swap the quinoa for a rice, and give me somethings that would provide different compliment for this bowl and it'd be a rockstar. For now, its fine. It's manageable but not cravable. It's an oddity on a menu that isn't tailored to my taste buds. So for that, its a win - not an amazing one but a serviceable one.

To that end, we never had problems with their food. We typically get their Make your own Bowl option. Their Slaw and Potatoes are very distinctive and delicious as base options. We appreciate how their Yeeroh Meats are actually shaved fresh and not some pre-packaged meat or something that isn't shaved, which kind of runs counter to the point. Their hummus is solid as well. The only thing to note is almost all of the veggie toppings aren't necessarily always prepared -- the tomatoes for example are straight up grape tomatoes they throw onto your bowl which could overpower the meal. Still would recommend them as a solid restaurant in the area. What you didn't come here for: - Water: There's no free water option (or at least if there was, I'd be suspect given Philly's reputation) - Restrooms: There is a single occupancy restroom in the rear but... - Accessibility: While it's wheelchair accessible, the path to the restroom gets tight since that hall is where they store their high chairs for kids as well. It could be workable but you'd need some help from someone to move things around for you. - Seating: There is limited seating up front but it's often enough. - Will it fill you up?
