    Yakuza roll and Dragon roll
    K P.

This was probably my 5th time coming to Doma. I decided to have my solo early birthday dinner here on Friday, and I wasn't disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very minimalistic, modern with clean line[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]s. In the past, I have had the shiitake mushroom buns, and the calamari salad which are delicious. The salad is packed with fried calamari, and the buns are light with a very nice sauce that accompanies it. I tend to go for the speciality rolls, and I've always enjoyed whatever I've ordered. This visit I had a small house salad with an amazing soy/ vinegar dressing and two specialty rolls. I ordered the yakuza roll and the dragon roll which were both amazing. They were both so good, that I couldn't decide which was my favorite. The yakuza roll highlighted soft shell crab and the dragon roll highlighted eel, avocado and a delectable sauce, topped off with fish eggs. They were both amazing and I would get them again. My food was so good, my date and I decided to come back later and get some takeout. He's vegan and got two rolls. One was a vegetable roll and the other a sweet potato roll, which he enjoyed. It was my birthday, so I decided to have another yakuza roll and the fried oysters. Honestly, my two selections didn't work well as takeout, and I wouldn't suggest getting them to go. I was a little disappointed, but it won't stop me from going there in the future. Overall, this was another great food experience and I'll definitely be back in the future.

No frills super solid easy go-to sushi! Love the TYS Roll Combo--it has everything i would normally pick, for a super reasonable price!! Adored this!!

Love this sushi restaurant! I used to order on grubhub all the time when I lived here. Finally went inside and ate when we decided to have a Philly day. We also ordered the spicy pork gyoza. Everything was so good! The service is fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean and so is the bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommended!

I'm so happy I got sushi from here! The rolls were decently sized and they don't s skimp on the ingredients!! They are also very decently priced as well. Most of the rolls that I ordered were around $6 each which I say is a steal! Sushi flavor was on point and I felt very satisfied with the quality. I would definitely order from here again. Next time I will have to dine in and see if the service matches up! Recommendations: Shrimp tempura Salmon avocado

Fantastic neighborhood Japanese BYOB. For the sushi and rice lovers (not noodles unless in soup), they have SO MUCH to pick from and all amazing. The dinner bento boxes are fantastic for takeout (you get a little bit of everything). In the restaurant, I cannot recommend enough the spicy pork bibimbap. Imagine a blazing hot stone bowl with rice, vegetables, pork, that continues to cook and get crispy while you eat it. AH-MAZING. Other recommendations- pork gyoza (fantastic), triple spicy double, tuna, roll, island, roll, Medusa roll. Great flavor, creative, and large in size. The staff is always wonderful and so friendly, and if you do want something to drink, there is a beer store next-door (it is overpriced, but it is convenient).

Came last minute on a Friday night and had about 15 minutes to order. They let me bring in a few beers, and have a cork fee for wine I believe. The sashimi sundae was delicious but didn't come with wasabi or much sauce, the tempura appetizer as crispy and light. The japchae was a nice surprise, super flavorful veggies and noodles. We were served pretty quickly with appetizers. There are booth and chair options, and the rolls are pretty large and filling. The quality of the sushi and fish was awesome and the price made me happy. BYOB sushi heaven!

Below average sushi spot. It was not very tasty and fish did not taste fresh. Rice was overcooked and slightly mushy. My initial pair of chopsticks were chipped so I asked for a new pair- the server gave me a pair of plastic chopsticks that were stained and there were what looked like bite marks on the end. I ended up just eating the sushi with my hands. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was empty and quiet. No other customers were there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would not be returning.

I had a pleasant dining experience at Doma with a friend. We received our food promptly. I had some of the best tasting sashimi and sushi here. Staff members were polite and responsive during our visit which made our visit even more pleasant. The atmosphere is very relaxed. It's a perfect little spot to bring a date or a few friends. It's very casual. I brought my own beer with me too.

My second time here for dinner without reservations and were seated quickly. Both times were good. Started off with the crab salad. This appetizer was not worth it since it was filled with just shredded crab sticks. Ordered the spider roll and the rock & roll. Both rolls were extremely filling and delicious. The rolls were quality rolls. Service was good.

Left 25 minutes later than planned. [Fast forward: the guy next to us was wearing a full suit.] We arrived at 5:30 and were told the wait for a walk-in was 20 minutes, so we went to Graffiti Bar next door. P wanted a marg, which was not on the cocktail menu, so the bartender asked what kind of tequila. P said Patrón. We started our happy hour evening with $45 cocktails. The wait was actually only 10 minutes, but they give you a 10-minute grace period once they text you, so we had to chug nevertheless. There is a pipe that says "warm" as you walk in. Touch at your own risk. Now at Double Knot. We ordered the tuna roll and salmon rolls. Good, but not that good. J wanted the yaki soba and liked it. P liked the pork potstickers. J ordered a Sapporo and an argument ensued about how to pronounce "a" in Japanese and/or other Asian languages. A professional woman once scolded J for mispronouncing Wang. We then played odds to determine whether J would turn his Sapporo into a sake bomb using P's sake. Both guessed 5. The sake did in fact "bomb," erupting all over the table and causing a scene. The wait staff did not notice because the ambiance, while "lit," is actually pretty dark. Coast clear. For revenge, we played odds again. P lost and was forced to put soy sauce in her sake and chug it. She took it like a champ. The waitress complimented P's top as we left. Margs at the pourover bar next door: $45. Rolls at Double Knot happy hour: $8. A compliment on a $3.69 top after arriving 36 minutes later than planned: priceless. 7/10.

I come here for happy hour every now and then because the prices are really great, and both the food and drinks are delicious. Unlike other places where the fish can sometimes taste frozen, everything here tasted fresh and high-quality. Service: Our server, Jordan, was incredibly attentive and made our lunch even better. Menu: The miso soup was delicious, and the salad portion was generous. The fried calamari was also great, though the pieces were on the smaller side. While the chicken teriyaki was a bit disappointing, the rest of the meal more than made up for it. Value: At approximately $33.85, the AYCE price is a great value for the quality you receive.
