Then they called us liars. now they are threatening to put a lien our home. I can document every assertion made in this post. We contracted with River Mist Pools because even though they were higher, they were very nice folks with a stellar reputation. We could live with the fact that they took literally twice as long to build our pool than the timeline they presented to us because we know that this is construction during the summertime in Texas and things happen. However, at the end of the process, our beautiful pool was about tree inches too shallow (it's supposed to be 5 feet deep) and it was quite unlevel. I want to make clear that the very first time River Mist filled the pool, both my family and the River Mist guys recognized that the pool was not level. They immediately agreed to repair the pool and we all decided to do the repair the following spring to give the pool more time to settle. The repair was supposed to take two weeks but instead took five. They finished and re-filled the pool in May (again no issue there...I understand). But then River Mist began demanding their money. I offered to pay River Mist 5K of the remaining 10k but I wanted to hold the other 5k until I consulted with an attorney about my position in this matter (which I'm in the process of now). My feeling is that since I didn't get exactly what I contracted for why should I have to pay full price. . I've already paid 108K. Am I entitled to a discount on the remaining 10k? This is where the issue stands now. If I could go back in time, I would choose a different pool builder. Nice folks but...

What impressed me the most was that when I began asking questions about pool pump specifics that he couldn't quite answer, rather that try to BS me, he referred me to Billy at a nearby Leslie's in Mansfield, TX. So did no less than eight other people who walked up to the doors only to find them locked. I know this because I sat in my car watching & waiting for someone to return. After having driven all the way here only to find the store closed when it is supposed to be open is extremely irritating. No sign or note posted to explain reason for closure.

He also was very calm and collected, knowledgeable, and professional. After choosing a design, we were walked through what features we could add, lighted bubblers (I think that's what they're called) get them! Turn around time was almost exactly what they had predicted (however they are at the mercy of the weather so we may have gotten lucky). We were able to enjoy our pool all summer, I Did I say they were professional? They are! I'm very into timelines and communicated expectations, they didn't bat an eye at my continuous questions. Now my husband on the other hand can be a handful sometimes, they were great taking his calls and fielding his requests. If I had one bit of constructive criticism, it would be in regards to timelines and expectations. I know I need reassurance and a lot of information, so a written timeline with an FAQ page handed over at signing would have helped me in the process. This being our first pool, I don't know what I don't know, so I had a lot of questions throughout the process. I hate bugging people, so my husband always had to ask the questions and I feel this might have saved us both time in that back and forth. 20/10 in all areas, hire them!

When we called and asked to have someone else be sent out, we were treated like it was a huge inconvenience. The next person that they sent over said that he had serviced our pool but hadn't. When we called the company to let them know we had security camera footage proving that we were not serviced, they responded with there app trumps our video footage as if we were the ones being dishonest. This company lies and they don't even think twice about lying. Trust me, there are alot of better options out there.
