The following week rolled around and same tech came. I messaged Charlie and got no response. Every time they come to clean we have to put our cleaner in the pool. We requested to cancel and are now told we have a 1 year contract and have to pay 35.00 a month for the remaining months. So basically with this company if they don't do a good job and you are unhappy your screwed. Don't sign a contract with these people or you will be frustrated and stuck. We have been told either keep the contract or pay the 35.00 as the customer service is horrible and they don't care about the customer.

The previous owners of our home did not care for the pool, so after many years of trying to find the right person for the job, we thought Ryan would be our savior; boy, were we wrong. Things started off great! My husband found him on YELP with a high 4-star rating back in December 2024. Ryan was eager and appeared excited to bring our pool back to life. Ryan and Team started working on our pool February 2025. I mean, this guy is over communicating at this point. Keeping us updated on when they were coming out to the house and what materials were being purchased & so forth. We were indeed pleased. Our first biggest mistake, we paid him in full in April 2025. Ryan immediately stopped accepting our calls and stopped replying to text messages. We were out of $12,000! Thank the Lord we paid with a CC, so we took it up with our bank, but it wasn't easy. In June 2025, we were told by our bank that Ryan submitted pictures of a completed pool---claiming it was OUR pool. As a result, the ruling was ruled in Ryan's favor, not ours. We were in complete shock; utter devastation. FULL TRANSPARANCY POST NEXT: The stress was unimaginable. I stopped eating, my hair began to fall out, and I was so filled with anxiety, I could barely work. Texas Native Aquatics put such a severe strain on our lives, but my hurt turned into anger, AND WE FOUGHT BACK. We were not going to accept this! We took even more photos and gathered even more text messages to prove our case. It took hours upon hours to put the evidence together, but the hard work paid off. The claim was reopened and TODAY, the bank ruled in our favor. Today is September 16, 2025, and our pool is still unusable. It's been drained for 7 months---which can lead to more serious issues. We've declined hosting family events, friend get-togethers and birthday parties for our nephews all due to our pool condition and the pain/suffering Ryan Williams has caused. Feel free to visit his google and yelp page---as you can see, we are not the first to write about being taken advantage of. And as of recently, his ratings have declined. I am truly fearful for this guy because if he continues this type of practice, then he might end up working for the wrong client and he will be out a lot more than he is now. It wasn't the lowest but it was the most complete. He spent more time talking with and understanding our wants than anyone else. So basically everyone else's quote was incomplete. Kevin's estimates was the only one I knew what we'd be paying when all said and done. He was spot on. And on top of this he was out here working non stop for a couple days. We used Pacific Pool re-plastering for redoing our pool. We built the pool 26 years ago, and we had…read moreworn off most of the plaster and were pretty much down to the gunite. We had several bids and Pacific was by far the most reasonable. We worked with Naomi at Pacific, and she made several trips to our house to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted it. They started on time, and each crew did their part of the re-plastering, coping repair, and tile work to our satisfaction. Each crew worked incredibly hard for a minimum of 8-12 hours for each of their parts. Although some of the crews did not speak English, they got Abram on the phone and he communicated everything to the crews and everything we had questions about was answered and everything we needed was done. They did extra things as well including putting tile on the steps which every other company we got quotes from wanted extra money to do. I would highly recommend them as we are totally pleased with the work they did, and our pool looks better than it did 26 years ago.

First off they are a very unprofessional company. I had an appointment for between 10 and 12 noon. This guy shows up at 9am in a white t-shirt with no logo or anything and a plain white van. I was reluctant to open my door because I didin't know who he was. He stated he was from Cowtown pool and I said you are 1 hour early, unannounced and you don't have any kind of identification showing who you are. After going back and forth I told him to go in the back yard and I would call my husband who is working at the Police Department and he would come home. My husband talked to the owner who came out and all he told my husband was that we needed a new manifold back up valve to fix it. When I talked to American Home Shield, he told them my pool equipment was beyond repair, just like he has stated in the other reviews that you see here on Yelp. My heater turns on and off and runs. I have the pictures of what my pool equipment heater really looks like and it's nothing like the pictures this guy took and sent into AHS. After reading the other reviews on Yelp, Cowtown has done the same exact thing to other homeowners. They are told the same exact thing and after what Cowtown files with AHS the homeowner is denied coverage. That shows a pattern if you look at all of the reviews on this site. Isn't this a bit supspicious that Cowtown Pools always writes a bad review for Home Warrenty companies so the only option a homeowner has is to pay full price to fix their pool equipment with Cowtown?. I have the Platinum Plan with AHS and they are either to fix or buy me a whole new system if it can't be repaired. Because of what these people wrote they claimed I was at fault even though the pool equipment was over 15 years old and has been out in the Texas heat and elements for 15 years. Isn't this normal wear and tear? Not in the eyes of Cowtown Pools. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They were contracted through American Home Shield to replace a defective Century 2HP 110V plug in…read morepump. This pump plugs into a dedicated 20Amp GFCI circuit. This Pool Pump and Chlorinator are the only two things plugged into this circuit. Though American Home Shield approved the repair and full replacement of the pump which means Cowtown Pool will be fully reimbursed by AHS as per their agreement. Cowtown Pool is trying to extort out of me an additional $535.00 claiming they need to bring my 1958 Anthony pool up to code, and the only thing they were planning on doing was installing a GFCI receptacle as required by NEC 2023, but that receptacle is already there and functioning. When trying to reach out to them the receptionist says she needs to reach out to the technician for further information. But over a week and no response.
