Above & Beyond Pool Services - Pool before service

I will say that he is knowledgable about pool maintenance and pool equipment. What he doesn't seem…read moreto appreciate is that homeowners have budgets and that we need some idea of the costs associated with home maintenance costs; including maintaining a pool. He thinks that he should not be questioned about his billing practices and believes that you should pay whatever number he comes up with without question. Simply telling a customer that chemical prices fluctuate, and pay whatever I say, is untenable. I also didn't appreciate him trying to goad me into a discussion about politics by saying more than once: "the price of chemicals have gone up since Biden became President." Just tell me how much it will cost to clear my pool, I'm not interested in your political views! He will never tell you how much you can expect to pay per month, only give you some a wide "possible" price range. Also, his utter arrogance was also a turn off. When I said he was too expensive or that questioned the basis for his exorbitant billing practices, he arrogantly told me that: "You want the best services for the cheapest price. And it just doesn't exist. You will always get what you pay for." In other words, if I don't use him and pay his unsubstantiated costs, I will not find other quality pool maintenance service providers. Finally, I offered to pay for July ($500!!!!), but not after, and then he immediately dropped me as a customer and charged me $274 for 1 visit; and my pool still had dirt on the bottom of it. Be careful in dealing with him, his knowledge of pools and pool equipment will distract you from his unqualified and unsubstantiated billing practices. I know he'll get on here an attack everything I've said, further showing his arrogance and inability to listen to customer concerns. Fortunately, I've kept all of the text messages between us as proof of what I've said.

I am more than pleased with above and beyond pool services. The owner is highly responsive,…read morefriendly, professional, and a good communicator. Regarding the pool, he brought it back to life and addressed all issues on the first visit. Give them a call if you need help and tell them JP sent you.

If you're considering Trident Pool Services, you need to know how they actually operate when things…read morego wrong. There is zero proactive communication. I was not informed ahead of time that they would no longer be servicing my area. Instead, I was left waiting, assuming service would continue or be rescheduled. When I reached out about missed service, I was told it would be rescheduled. That never happened. Days later, I received a message saying they no longer service my area. No accountability, no urgency, just a delayed afterthought. Then came the refund process. Again, slow and reactive. I had to follow up multiple times to get clarity on when my money would be returned. When a company makes the decision to stop servicing an area, that should trigger immediate communication and prompt refunds. That didn't happen here. This isn't just poor customer service, it's disorganized and disrespectful of people's time and money. At a minimum, this company needs to: * Notify customers in advance if service areas are changing * Honor rescheduling commitments instead of disappearing * Process refunds quickly and transparently without customers having to chase them Right now, the experience feels like you're the last to know anything, and that's a problem.
