I normally write reviews only when I'm either really unhappy or really amazed by a company. THIS IS HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE BEST companies I've had the pleasure of dealing with. From start to finish, Erik the owner was incredibly honest and helpful. I needed a new roof, new skylights, and a window reframed. And I needed it done asap since my roof and window were leaking and it was raining all the time. Erick and his staff were efficient with sending the necessary documents and got me scheduled within days! We talked about every detail until I was comfy with the work and the contract. Everything looks great and the job was done in one day! My standards are very high, so when I recommend a company, it really does mean a lot. Heaven knows there are plenty of companies I would never recommend. I even offered for them to use me as a "live" reference, which I rarely offer. I would definitely hire them again. read more

They scheduled my appointment to have the technician come take a look at my roof between 10am-noon on July 11 so I took half day off to be home. Then no one showed up so I call the office at 12:00 and the lady that answered the phone called the technician to see where he is at. She then called me back and said the technician has no service and could not contact me and he will be at my house at 2pm. I said to her that I have to go to work and I can't be home. She said i don't need to be home and they will send the report via my email. The technician arrived at my house at 3pm not 2pm and he left me a voicemail to let me know that he arrived and I need to call him. I haven't received a report. read more

Based on my interaction with them, I have no doubt they would continue to take care of me if something did come up. He is the company owner. He had ordered shingles for another house, and the company that was delivering the shingles had blocked exit when I was already running behind. I spoke to the homeowner, got Erick's contact information, and I told Erick how unhappy I was with his company blocking my way out when I was already late and there was no indication they would be blocking my driveway. I did remain professional and calm, but I was definitely not happy. Erick, instead of being defensive, apologized and took ownership of the issue even though I later found out it was the shipping company that blocked my driveway and not him. I was just very impressed by his positive attitude and understanding, that when my need came up to get my roof replaced--I called him first. He already came highly recommended by many neighbors and I understood why. Erick quickly came out, and we discussed what I needed to get done. We worked together to figure out the right approach and got everything done within my budget. What's also great is that this is a family run business. I got to meet Erick's brother (he was supervising the work), and his sister. I even met his sister's beautiful family one day as I dropped off my payment. It's funny, you know how sometimes you spend money and then you feel remorse afterwards because you felt like it wasn't a good value or you overpaid? In this case, I felt no remorse but I was very happy with the service and a job well done by MidAtlantic. Overall, everything is great and I plan to be a repeat customer. After the big wind storm in March 2018, we had a lot of shingle damage. Our insurance company assessed that we needed a new roof (new house built in 2009). So one day I woke up and heard a drip. Had no idea where it was coming from. Followed the drip and low and behold my roof had a leak. I am new to the Fairfax, VA area so I had no idea who to call. This company advertises itself as a roofing company but they do everything. My basement bathroom had a leaking pipe which damaged a lot of drywall and carpet. I got quotes from several vendors and although some of them came in lower than the insurance estimate, I was able to work with Erick to get everything done (drywall repair, paint, and carpeting) within budget. This was amazing! But the reason I ended up going with MidAtlantic as opposed to the others was their attention to detail and highly professional customer service. A lot of handymen and contractors today feel like used car salesman that just want to squeeze every dime out of you. They don't take the time to listen to your feedback and treat you like an idiot. Erick genuinely wanted to work with me to fix my house and he took the time to listen to my needs and suggestions. His opinions felt honest, and above anything else, he didn't act like a used car salesman. MidAtlantic won't try to sell services you won't need. They will work with you to come up with a reasonable budget and plan to get your job done. They are also flexible with their schedule. Contacted MAC to get a roof inspection due to possible hail storm damage. I signed a contract with Ryan and my insurance company approved the claim so I thought everything was set for the roof to be replaced. But apparently, and for unknown reasons, they decided not to do the job. And rather then being upfront about it, they ended up wasting my time and jerking me around for months before finally backing out of the contract...No explanation given. So I can't speak for the quality of their work, but as far as customer relations - they suck!!! read more

We had repeated problems with our Directv after our roof replacement. Once we called Directv to come out for the second time, they stated we needed a new satellite dish. They would not remove the old one because they were concerned about subsequent leaks in the new roof after removal. We called Mid Atlantic and they removed the old satellite dish and replaced the affected shingles without charge! Who does that kind of follow-up work? Not many!! What an awesome company. read more

Had my roof done by Erick on a Saturday which was short notice. I appreciated the fact that the job was done as soon as possible. Erick went beyond the regular taskings and repaired minor issues on my roof. Despite the higher than usual winds, he still worked safely on my roof. I've sent their owner Lindsay Hagget three emails over the last month requesting additional information which I need for my insurance claim, and I have got not one response. We were very pleased with the work completed by MidAtlantic Contracting. Like many homeowners in NOVA, our roof was severely damaged by the March 2018 wind storms. After having a different company "repair" issues, we ended up with water damage in a second floor bedroom. Erick inspected our roof, made recommendations for a path forward (tarp immediately, but replace the roof), and met with our insurance adjuster. Within a couple of weeks, a team from MidAtantic Contracting replaced our roof and addressed the bedroom water damage. They were punctual, professional, and very efficient. Mid Atlantic Contracting replaced our entire roof in March 2018. They did an exceptional job. They were easy to work with, communicated well, provided a quality product, and cleaned up the area around our house thoroughly. We contacted them immediately after we realized that our roof was damaged from a strong wind storm. As soon as the insurance adjuster took a look at the damage, MAC came out to cover up the damaged areas with a tarp. Due to heavy snow, the work date had to be pushed out, but only by a few days. They completed the work in one day as promised. Erick is an excellent foreman. We would feel comfortable recommending MAC to a neighbor, just as our neighbor recommended them to us. read more

We met with a couple different contractors to see about opening up our living room by removing a load bearing wall and it was more important for us to do it correctly, instead of the very cheapest. Every contractor wanted to low-ball us and give us a cheap price, but MAC was the only contractor that seemed to know the importance of getting the right permits and inspections when doing a structural modification. In the end, we were very pleased and the price didn't end up being that bad... well worth knowing our house won't fall down. Also, David Corbin & his team went out of their way to rush the project to completion before we moved into the house, even making emergency mods to the drawing plans when an unexpected HVAC vent ended up running right down the middle of the wall we were trying to removing! We just bought our first house. Initially, we thought we'd have a few good years left on the roof, but with all the rain we've had this year, we were started to notice problems. The roof was old enough that it ended up making more sense to get a new roof instead of just doing the repairs. We were also looking at getting a new roof put on our screened-in porch. We did a lot of research online, and called several places for quotes. Erick not only came in as the lowest quote on the roof replacement with the longest warranty on workmanship, but was the only company willing to frame out a full shingled roof for the porch (which looks better) instead of installing a rubber flat roof. Within a week of signing the contract, Erick had his guys out and a whole new roof installed in one day! A couple of things needed to be wrapped up here and there, another day. But still, we were thoroughly impressed! I highly recommend giving him a call. He's a nice guy, and does nice work. He was flexible, and didn't try to tack on any extra costs or replace any roof decking that was still in fine shape. Also was very helpful, and happy to answer any questions we had throughout the process.
