Diagnostic skills seem to be lacking. I took a car in with a check engine light. I was told it was the O2 sensor and repair cost was over $700 which seems very high. I was then called and told the power steering had gone out. We went and talked to the mechanic and the store owner Eric. I was told there was a bad sensor in the rack and pinion steering. Finding parts was going to be difficult and over $1070.00 plus labor. A second mechanic found a bad fuse that was $23.00. The fuse was replaced and fixed the problem. Why put the customer through the worry and grief of an expensive and unnecessary repair. Check the car out properly before you contact the customer. Went in for a simple oil change all was good for a while but it took them forever to change my oil and at one point there where 4 employees in the tiny lobby just talking and watching tv and I was tempted to ask if there was anyone working on my car. read more

I would give NO STARS if I could. I took my BMW 325xi in on Monday morning for a vibration/flutter noise which was diagnosed as a wheel bearing going out... HOWEVER, when I dropped the vehicle off, there were NO lights on the dash..... when I got it back the ABS light, brake light and traction control lights were on. My husband called to see why the lights were on and he was told that the technician only drove the vehicle and that nothing was else was touched on the vehicle. Now fast-forward to today... I get in the car and the service engine soon light is on... my husband put in the code reader and it came back as the speed sensor.... I called the local store and asked to speak to the manager regarding the diagnostic performed by Eric. The manager, Christine(?), tells me the same thing that the car wasn't touched except to drive it.... I clearly wasn't making any headway with the local manager so I asked to speak to corporate.... I was then transferred to another local store, then another, and then I finally got someone who gave me the number to corporate (561-383-3000). I filed a complaint, was provided a case number, and was told a district manager would be calling me to discuss this further. I have spoken to other mechanics in the area and I'm told this is absolutely not the case. BUYER BEWARE! You may want to look elsewhere for work on your vehicle. I will NOT be returning for any future work and I will warn anyone I can to STAY FAR AWAY from here until there are staffing changes with more honest people. read more

I love this place so much!!! Had such a good experience I had to write a review about it. I went in for an extremely overdue oil change (I don't know anything about cars/car maintenance and put it off for so long). I thought they'd give me a hard time about it but they were so kind and even gave me a $10 off discount for no reason. I waiting for ~40 minutes and they filled up my tires and wiper fluid too without me having to ask... not sure if all places do that but it made my day. :) can't wait til I need another oil change LOL read more

spent 350 to get my kids ac fixed they charged me 180 to replace the valve core and recharge it another 150 and 2 days later it's blowing hot again and they wont look at it for another 5 days don't use them for any thing they also told me the motor mounts was bad and would charge 700 dollar to change them i laughed at them and said you was a lier they never looked base it off the mileage because they day I took it for ac work I replaced all 4 of the mounts if they would have looked they would know they way brand new because they was black and still had the damn label piss poor shop read more

Sent my car for a 2 hour job (door handle replacement, serpentine belt) which extended into days, I tried to pick my car up and take my business elsewhere but I was told they started already and i would have to pay in full for half the job. Even though the jobs themselves took less than an hour I had to wait an extra day and once I came to pay I realized they only finished halfway finished the job, telling me it would be more to fix properly even though I was quoted over phone. Once I called to voice my concern I was dismissed and told i'd have to come and pay to get the jobs done right. Midas has many times halfway done a job or left me with more problems than I originally came with. I suggest firestone complete autocare or your local mechanic as these franchise mechanics have 1 thing in mind and that is a dollar. read more

Nice people and decent (still overpriced) service, but they don't respect appointments and the wait times are longer than anywhere else I've been for an oil change. You'd think making an appointment would mean they would reserve a spot for you or at least plan to get to your car in a timely manner. When you make the appointment online they give you an estimated wait of 60 minutes for the service to be completed. It's been an hour and they haven't even gotten to my car. Why not at least acknowledge y'all are behind schedule and offer a discount, have snacks out for waiting customers, or something? They killed the car battery of a woman who was waiting next to me by leaving her light on during the oil change (????), which made the wait time longer. This location is what customer service is all about! Friendly and courteous from the moment I walked in. I requested a job that in the end I didn't need. Instead of just performing the job and charging me, then informed me that it was unnecessary and saved me over $100. The female manager was very knowledgeable and cares about customer service. We went to Midas for an oil change. They came to tell us 45 minutes in we need a new oil pan, made us wait another 15 minutes to find out how much it would cost ($400). We opted to do one of their temporary plugs instead. After about an hour and a half of waiting, we asked how long it would be, and they said they ordered the part from another store and were waiting on it to be delivered...all without our knowledge. We still had to wait an additional hour. They are over priced and completely inconsiderate about their customers' time/lack of vehicle. 10/10 WOULD NOT recommend. read more

One word, AMAZING!!!! I totally recommend this ONE stop for all your vehicle needs. I been doing business with them for over 6 years and they always have the same experienced/reliable mechanics and friendly front desk staff (I really appreciate you Christine!). They are honest and they will tell you EXACTLY how things are and not try to make you pay for extras. You get a very detailed report every visit (even for the oil change) and they accept walk in's but just be prepared to be patient, that's why I recommend to be conciderate with your time and theirs and call ahead if you can. read more

Went there just to get brake pads installed that I had bought from Autozone. After waiting nearly an hour. They tell me its gonna cost over $200 more and that they can't install the pads unless I pay for them to turn my rotors. I left and went elsewhere. The lady behind the counter claimed that due to there policy that they couldn't install the pads without me paying $200 more for an additional service. Never going to Midas again. And I suggests everyone go elsewhere for your brakes. read more

Started coming here 2 years ago when I had a headlight out and every place I stopped at said they didn't change lightbulbs or wanted to take the whole day to do it. Finally found Midas and they changed the bulb in about 10 minutes. I've been coming in for maintenance and minor repairs ever since. They seem reasonably priced and can get me in on a walk-in basis. They know a lot of their customers by name and the staff are always friendly. read more

Went in recently for a wheel alignment check. They said the front toe was off and I said to go ahead with the alignment thinking the toe was way off. At checkout they gave me the alignment results, which you can view here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9vyk20szdi3gm7z/scan.pdf. After looking at the results personally I didn't think it was worth the $82 for the whole alignment, especially considering they only adjusted the front toe and didn't touch anything else, but they had already done the alignment. You can show this to other mechanics and get their opinion if you like. I would have appreciated if they showed me the results first before doing the alignment considering how minor it was or charged me half. I would have declined the alignment and left a tip. If I take in my vehicle for an alignment again I'll be sure to look at the test results before approving the realignment. I had good experiences with them before so hopefully this is an isolated incident. read more

To put it mildly, an absolutely horrible experience. Firstly they could not complete the shock rebuild that they started. Why on earth would you even begin a job you are incapable of completing. So now I have a truck that drives horribly and I am left to figure a fix. And did they offer a discount or even an apology for giving back a truck that rides horribly-NO! If I could give Midas less than a one star rating I would. I took my car to the Waco Drive location in Waco ,TX FIVE times for a few different issues. They charged me $800 to fix two engine mounts that cost $100 total to buy any where else plus half the cost of service. Recently I called several times along with taking my car to Midas twice within a week to figure out why there was a constant warning chime going off. I was told after the second visit that I had an oil leak but that was not an issue and and that the warning chime was due to a bad ignition that would need to be completely replaced or to be cheap try to get a brand new key cut from the manufacturer and that should make the chiming go away. When the chiming coincided with my AC not working I knew that was not the case and had my mechanic friend look at it. All in this time my car was dying, over heating, smoking, chiming, and the ac was not working but Midas could not figure it out and told me they had never heard of these issues linking to chiming. After 2 minutes of looking my mechanic friend discovered that I had absolutely no coolant in my car what so ever and I was basically destroying my engine for weeks while Midas neglected to help me. Needless to say, I will never trust Midas again and they will never see another penny from me. Thank you for possibly destroying the car I just bought with my hard earned college student money. Please note I do not blame the girl at the front desk for any of the things she mentioned were wrong, I am just incredibly upset that this could have caused my car to be destroyed. I don't know if its routine to check the coolant when a customer asks you to look at their car, but it should be to prevent this issue. read more

I walked in without an appointment and even though they looked very busy, I got an oil change in less than 40 min. Very clean and very good customer service. Previous review was filtered but it is important to me to share this. These guys tried to scam me out of 1500 dollars to replace the condenser in the AC. Turned out to only be a $75 fix to replace a temperature gauge (I got a second opinion). Do not come here for major repair or diagnosis please! read more
