Recently I had a blow out on my tire. I had to drive around with a spare, but not for long. All of the good reviews you see are accurate and genuine. The man that helped me was very generous and friendly. He quickly and properly found a good used tire and put it on. He also pointed out a bubble in another tire of mine that would blow soon, that was very helpful to know because I was not aware of the issue. My daughter and I experienced car troubles on our way from Austin to Ft Worth. We thought the issue had to do with the back tire so we googled and found that this shop was 4 mins away from us. We inched our way there... very slowly and scared that the tire would just roll off. I called to be sure they were open just in case. When we finally arrived about 45 mins later we explained our issue to Lance. He quickly propped up the car while we remained inside and looked underneath to see what the issue was. Turns out it was something other than the tire and since we're not from the area he took the time to call another shop down the street to make sure they could take care of the repair. He sent us over there and didn't even ask for payment for taking a look at the car. Once at the mechanic shop we found out that the repair was a little more extensive than we thought. Due to the car's age we'd have to go to a Kia Dealership for parts, etc. By this time we had a ride coming to get us from Waco and didn't know what to do. I called Lance back to ask for advice. Since we're not familiar with the area I asked if he happened to know of a spot where we might be able to park the car for a few days while we figured everything out. He was so nice and patient with us and allowed us to come back to his shop and park the car there. I don't know what we would've done had we not come across someone so willing to help others in their moment of trouble. For that reason, I'd definitely recommend his shop to others! read more

This place is amazing and they people who work there are always very nice! I am a young female so going to car shops alone is still a little daunting you don't wanna be taken for an idiot. They are always very nice and very good at explaining what is wrong and will show you the damaged tire, which is something that I like to see for myself. This shop is owned by a young man who is very respectful to women. I went in and out in 45 min. And he never once tried to degrade me, quoted me for the right tires, and didn't kick me out of the shop stating I may injure myself. You can sit there and watch what they are doing the entire time. They are excellent at what they do, quick, and efficient. And added bonus: they don't try to pretend they are a full-service repair shop by doing a head to toe search of your car and give you at list of all you need to fix. This is the best place in town for tires. If he doesn't have then in, same day weekdays he gets them quick--my situation. He also honored my request of the mileage level for the tires and didn't try to argue with me. It was so refreshing to be treated as an equal. I popped my tire and it was past 7 and I'm not sure they're even open past that time but they were working on what seemed like one of their friends cars but stopped to change mine first! The owner is helpful guy who is courteous, polite, and fantastic at taking care of the customer. We ended up at their shop when my wife had a blowout and he got her back on the road on a used tired in about 15 minutes to buy her enough miles to get home. Later he helped us find a good deal on great set of tires. The tires were as good as those at other stores with a longer warranty and were delivered to the shop in less than a day. It took him about 30 minutes to remove, replace, and balance the new tires. Disposal and install fees are built into the price of the tire and you end up saving time going through Poor Man's Tire instead of sitting in the lobby for hours at larger establishment. I highly recommend this shop for their professionalism and top notch service. read more

GREAT place.. I went in to get a used tire to hold me over till I could save up to get a new set. I asked how much a new set was out of curiosity and the price was about 150 less than I had priced at other places. Of course I jumped on the offer and now my car has a great set a new brand name tires. The staff was very friendly and quick.
