So I have a sports sedan that got a little wobbly at 65 and up. Got an estimate form a shop that told be I needed to replace my tie rods for 1500.00. I had mod the wheels from 17 too 18 and decided to go to Discount Tire ( where I get most of my tires over the years) to start at the wheels and all the basics before doing the tie rods. Turns out the Tires were ok, one off an ounce on balance. The issue was the Toes were out of whack, while on the rack to look at that one ( very good tech) looked and saw that the tie rods were perfect. I spent 140 bucks and the car drives like the day I bought it. Honesty and expertise pays off and so does excellent communication. They are a Waco staple. read more

Always come here for my new tires maintenance and repairs. Super quick great service they are always working and energetic. I came from another state and just as happy with this location as the other. I have to do better getting names, but no complaints today and would fully recommend. I do speak up in other reviews when I have issues and have no affiliation with this location or Discount tire. I purchased new tires with the road hazard warranty in November. Got a nail a month later. They patched /plugged the hole. Tire wouldn't hold air. They reluctantly replaced the tire after I pitched a fit. Then they had the nerve to want to charge me for another road hazard fee on the new tire. DO NOT GO TO DISCOUNT TIRE!!! Waits are long. Went for a simple plug,and tech said they cant fix it,and that there was also a bolt in the tire. After showing me the bolt,which was acually a rock,and easily removed,he said the nail was at an angle and couldnt be repaired,and that I would need a new tire. This is all without removing the tire. My tires are worn,but well within being legal at 7/32. Decided right then,theyre only thought is selling me tires. Not an honest repair,or customer concern,but new tires. Thanked him,told him I was done as a customer. Went to another shop,who pulled it out,and found that it had rolled,and not actually punctured the tire at all. Have been a discount customer for over 10 years,but am done. Terrible financing company and now bad service. No reason to stay. read more

SCAMMERS........ VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS STORE. Car sensor was not on or blinking. Went to store for 2 front tires. Got them replaced. Went to store, got back....... Wife picked up keys and went to car. Front tires were low. Low tire pressure sensor was on in car. They checked the tires and somehow the rear 2 sensor failed......scam. Now I am being charged to replace the rear sensors. They parked the car knowing the indicator light was ON. Failed to tell my wife. Failed to retest the sensor after new tires were installed. These people at this store scammed us good. Never going there again. Danny who works there was back pedaling when I was questioning the light or retesting of sensor. Nope..... They just parked it in the back and charge us later. read more

Hi I have done business with Discount Tire for almost 30 years and never been really let down. This location though has been frankly the most easygoing and in my opinion a very honest place to do business. I went to another nationwide tire company before that did do some other repairs but primarily sold tires. That was in Houston. They told me after selling me tires that I needed my gaskets replaced. I went to my family mechanic who told me that that wasn't the case at all. This location is very efficient and even when crowded I felt like my wait time to be served as well as my car being serviced was appropriate or exceeded my expectations. I recently had a flat and they didn't put pressure on me to buy another tire buy an additional tire etc or pay a warranty fee like some of their other locations. They honored their guarantee with a cheerful smile. If I had to describe them in a sentence it would be " they put the customer first with a smile on their face. read more

Came in to get a tire swapped from my spare onto my front wheel. I came out to my car the next morning and the wheel was a little flat so i filled it up. And i opened my trunk to see that they hadnt mounted the other tire back on my spare because it was too old. So i went down to a random shop to get a spare just in case . Unfortunately discount didnt check to see if the wheel would hold air. So i got a flat a couple hours into my trip to new mexico I changed the flat and took it to a discount along the way to see why my tire went flat. They had spotted a crack on my wheel and told me that the tire should have never been put on and the wheel should have been inspected to avoid this. So at this point i was thinking they knew the tire wouldnt hold air but still wanted my money . I contacted customer service and a few days later i got a call from Marcus , he was very nice and was able to make the best out of the situation. Thanks again read more

Caught a screw in my Tire on a jobsite, I came in to get it fixed being that I had the warranty to fix damaged tires. They said they fixed my tire and the next day it happened to be rainy and when I got to work I checked my tire and the screw was still in it and you could see the air bubbling out of the tire due to the rain. Since this store opened I have had my families tire needs taken care of by Paul & his team. Paul has just retired & the performance of this location has continued to shine in every way! The finer points for me; they never have tried to over sale me tires. They focus on the problem I am having then give me solutions. They always give me more than one option while making me aware of any rebates or specials. Always giving adjustments or replacement with certificates when damage by road hazard applies, No question. Darren just helped me with two tires that had nail damage. It was nearing time if not past time to do a full replacement. I was honestly just trying to make it a little longer. He understood. Unfortunately one of the punctures was un repairable. He explained with professionalism what, why & offered a few solutions. I have been a Michelin tire person on all my families cars but he sold me on a set of BF Goodrich tires mud snow all terrain tires with a promise to replace if not fully satisfied. I purchased for cheaper than any competitor had listed then added certificates of road hazard on all four and they were still cheaper than any local competitors.. Darren Promised performance and value and delivered. The ride, lack of any road noise, handling are all exceptional. Three days later I picked up a double pointed fencing nail in my rear right tire. I expected a patch. When the finished the installer informed me The double puncture made it unsafe to patch. New tire at no charge, no questions asked, with my road hazard certificate. Outstanding fix by his pit crew and I was quickly on my way! They are very busy, I call ahead for appointments when I can but this locations teamwork a concern for its customers makes any wait worth it. Horrible Experience!!!! Was informed at check in that I would have to drive my suv in and out of the bay at the waco discount tire location off waco drive. Then they forgot that I wanted to keep the old which arent that old tires. They were going to put in one in each bag and then put In the back of the suv I had asked one of the techs who turned out to be an assistant manager if that was a safety violation driving our own vehicle in and out of the bay and he snapped your luck we are even open. So today I get half way to Bryan Texas 50 miles mind you and the steering wheel starts shaking. Arent they allowed to drive the vehicle after putting new tires on for a safety check? I got all 4 tires replaced after one of them blew off and they were all really in need of replacement anyway. When I walked into the store, they took the time to explain their rating system that shows how worn down the existing tires are, when they should be replaced, etc. I had a very smooth experience and the staff were very friendly. They let me know that one of the tire pressure sensors came off and gave me the option to replace it or take it to the dealership to get officially checked out since only the rubber outer was broken - no pressure from them to replace it on the spot. The waiting area is a bit run down and dirty with not much of a coffee station, but there is free water and plenty of seating. You should be in and out of there within an hour, so it's not a huge deal. read more

We had a new tire that needed to be replaced. It took over 3 weeks to get the tire in. They didn't actually place the order the first time. When the tire finally came in, they said they would get me in and out fast without much wait. Bull crap! It took 2 hours before they even took the car in to replace the tire. I even told them I needed to have the car to pick up my son in an hour and a half. I guess they didn't care about that either. I feel lied to. They could have at least comped us something for the trouble like certificates, but no. We have used discount tire for years but this location is dead to me. read more

Went to discount tire for all 4 new tires on my vehicle. They didn't have the ones I wanted in stock so they had them sent over from another location. I dropped my car off in the morning and when I went to pick it up at 5pm, it was still sitting in the same spot and had been skipped over somehow. Very frustrating but the staff was very friendly and Colton did everything he could to make things right. He had several guys working on it to get it done quickly and even gave me a significant discount for their lack of organization. Definitely giving them my repeat business. read more

This has been a great store in the past but our last two trips here have been really bad. My wife had a scheduled appointment to repair a tire and it took more than 2 hours past her scheduled time - they hadn't even started on it when she checked with them after 90 minutes. Then today, CJ took my truck in to also repair a flat, as a walk-in, and they were done in less than an hour. They actually put the spare on because I'm planning to buy new tire later in the week. But not so fast - they replaced the wrong tire. 30 minutes later I was on the way. An Asst Manager offered to help me with pricing on new tires after I asked for that. Each time I've stopped here I've been helped quickly. You can call and make appointments if you need one. They've been more than helpful with my calling in a thousand questions. They will rotate your tires for free with any other services or for free without another service I'm sure. The men there are helpful and very quick. They do tires and not much else. Amateurs.... I've been back 4 times for a tire vibration issues in 3 different cities... they can't figure it out! MAYBE ITS THE NEW GOODYEAR TIRE! I can't keep with traffic because the vibration will make you sick! They are nice enough and seem like they want to make it right, but they don't want to replace a new tire! DON'T BUY GOODYEARS! I had Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires put on my car last week, and while the tires are great, the service left something to be desired. The staff were not very knowledgeable on the performance tire selection, and I had to guide one of the employees through their own website to order the right tires! The tires took about a week to come in, and then when I took them to be put on, it was around an hour wait. Not too bad, but then I walk out to my car to find they had not even cleaned off my wheels. That was a really poor display of customer service. I spend over $1200 on tires, and you can't even clean off the grease you left on the wheels? The staff also seemed very rude, and seemed in a rush to get me out the door after getting my money. I was extremely disappointed, and assure you I will not be going here again. I will pay more just to avoid this place, and actually get a good customer service experience! read more

Service at the front of the counter is very good. Even though they didnt have the matching tire to the rest of them they were able to find me an alternative. The story turns sour though when I get my car back. First off, the tire wheel lock was just left in my cup holder, didn't have enough time to put it away? Second, they lost my OEM tire nipple cover. I would not have been upset at this if they had admitted to it and given me money off or offered to replace it. Third, they left stains all over my seats and left my trunk totally disheveled. Lastly, I had to go back because all of my tires where at incorrect pressures. I am not satisfied at this level of service. I have been here before and found the service to be really great but this was a total letdown. read more
