Went up to the cashier who looked like I was the biggest inconvenience in the world dragging her off her stool/chair. I informed her the pumps card readers weren't working and in a smartass tone she said "oh pump 8 yeah it's been acting up all day" and when I tried to inform her of the other side not working as well again in a smartass tone she said " well yeah they run off the same system", okay so if you were aware of this why has no effort been made to contact someone to get them fixed or at least put up a sign or some form of communication alerting drivers that the pump card reader isn't working, takes maybe 2-5 minutes out of your day to take care of that, or am I mistaken that when you're a business and you have a loyalty rewards program the point of operating is to show you care about your customers? Perhaps some reeducation of said gas station attendant or a replacement is in order, unless the end goal is to allow the business to fail?

But I figured we'd show up, see that it was wrong and move along. Nope. It really was 20 cents cheaper than every other gas station along our journey. This made for a decent deal when fuel is my biggest expense when I travel and I'm buying 20 or so gallons of gas for the Sprinter van just about every day. The station was tidy, easy to navigate and I saved an extra 3 cents for using Walmart Pay. I'm sure Walmart save even more than that in lower cost for fraud but I'll take three cents. It's rare that I down rate a business…read more If you have a nice vehicle, don't bother stopping here as you won't want to get back into your car after exiting your vehicle. This place has nasty written all over it. Literally, the outside pump and parking area was so oily and grubby that our shoes were sticking to the pavement as we refuelled. There's no reason the owner-operator can't pressure wash and degrease the tarmac as part of their commitment to a customer-friendly establishment. Poor business decision not to make this place everything it could be.

I like Pilot gas stations in Texas because usually they have good prices, food options and more. This is a decent Pilot gas station which needs a bit of a upgrade. This is sort of like a hole in the wall gas station but surprisingly has Subway, Wendy's and Pizza options to eat. The Wendy's had a drive thru area as well. I did not eat here however because it seemed not that hygienic. I got gasoline from here and the prices are good for the area. Stopped here on the way back from Austin and traveling to Dallas Texas. It's fairly close to the highway and is within a mile after taking the exit. Across the street there is a McDonald's which seemed like a better option than stopping inside here to eat.
