The place did me right. Was informed by another car care facility that I needed new bushings for my car. Called around until I spoke with Zee, the manager of this Midas. Sound straight forward and upfront. I brought my car in for an inspection, He confirmed I did need new bushings but repaired my car for $600 less than the first car care facility. read more

Good customer service, friendly. I just think the price I pay for an oil change is kind of pricey.... Been here for many years but when it change management the price are a bit to much I went from paying g 50-60 to 89 that only cu I had a coupon or else it would of been $110 read more

Horrible service. General Manager Jaeson was very unprofessional and rude. Brought my vehicle in for a seemingly simple oil change. As I left and got on the freeway my skid plate started scraping against the ground. Additionally, my car was put back into kilometers and tire pressure light turned on minutes after leaving the facility. They offered me $30 off my NEXT oil change - Nothing to make the situation right then and there. Jaeson said he had the authority to provide compensation towards my service but chose not to. No responsibility taken. I called the customer service line and got passed around multiple times. Do not take your business here! read more

This shop is consistent, unfortunately, they consistently disappoint. It's partially my fault for forgetting about past experiences and bringing in my car yet again. I can guarantee this will not happen again. read more

I RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION WITH 10 STARS! My mom passed away in September, and she had a 2007 Saturn with very low miles. The car had a wierd and concerning noise, so I took it to be diagnosed. The right front U-joint needed to be replaced. I decided the cost as smart since I could then sell it knowing it was in good condition. When Johnny's team started the repair, they discovered a bigger issue. Johnny called and explained the new issue, understood my situation, and suggested having no work done. Originally, I had told him that I planned to donate the car, but others encouraged me to sell it because is was in really good shape. Johnny knew today's issue was not worth the investment, and he did not charge me a dime for today's work. It is a blessing to be on the receiving end of honesty. read more

Excellent service. Every employee is very friendly. One even brought me a cold water on a hot day. They take the time to do things right and I've never felt taken advantage of. I like that they will text me weeks later to see if everything is running well. There is a mechanic walking distance to my home but I choose to drive a little further to get service here. read more

Couldn't be happier with them. I've taken my car to another place for years and was surprised when I took it to Midas because, for the first time, my repairs didn't cost over $1000. The last place would up sell my repair with other things. Midas told me exactly what was wrong and the cost and it was done in a very reasonable amount of time. They are now my go-to place for repairs read more

Visited the Orange location on October 15, 2021 for what we thought would be brake pads. Upon inspection, we learned that one of the front rotors was badly damaged, apparently due to previous car owner using the wrong size pads. Just want to let people know this MIDAS dealer is awesome, HONEST (they showed us exactly what the issue was and made sure all other brakes were ok), and discussed exact cost. The manager, Jaeson Robinson, was courteous and professional. Our experience was excellent. Thanks MIDAS! read more

Horrible overall experience waste of an hour and $30! Car is having an acceleration issue and I explained to them they as to let it cool down for10-15 minutes before it would run normal. Lead mechanic that diagnosed the problem was not informed of my situation and said my car is stuck in low gear. We'll no shot it's hot like I told the guy that wasted my time. My car was also lifted on only three legs mechanic in and out with the car wobbling back and forth. Never again going to Midas!! read more

Midas - My car improperly lifted. - Auto Repair Near Me - Orange, California

I couldn't have had a better experience at Midas. I took my car in for what I thought was a bad muffler. Jaeson looked and it wound up I had a broken flex pipe which, given my car, would require an entire replacement of the exhaust system including catalytic converter with an estimate to replace of about $3K!! He said he wanted to look to see what he could do and after considering he was able to REPAIR the issue with spot welds and putty for a total cost of $150. AMAZING. The car runs great now and I am so thankful he was helpful and honest. I can't wait to bring my car back for its next oil change and any other issues. They definitely have a customer for life! Please give this shop a chance! read more

I had got a flat tire on freeway, however I tried to go home... impossible! Horrible situation came, soon I got off 55 freeway and I found this place right there luckily. The guys there were so nice and helped me so quick. No chance to buy a new tire (they are not a tire shop, so didn't have my size) but they replaced my spare tire. I couldn't wait for the next day, had an appointment next morning. So I bought a new at a tire shop close to me on the same day. Anyway I was so lucky to know a great repair shop! And then, on the next day (it's today) tire checking ramp was on again... the same thing happened on the same freeway. I knew there is a nice repair shop in Orange, I drove there straitly. Of course they remember me (it's only 24 hours later) and helped me checking pressure. Everything was ok, might be tiny trouble... So happy to see them again. I will ask them to repair my GTI next time, I am sure. Strong recommend to visit them if you have some trouble with your car. Thanks. read more

Generous and Honest are what I would describe the team. Ran my diagnostic and advised me to bring it to a transmission specialist. Being a furloughed cast member, the fact that they did not charge me for my diagnostic l almost cried. They were honest in what the issues were and that they did not have the means to fix my certain problem. 10/10 read more

Jason and his guys are top shelf! UNLIIMITED STARS! Front tire starting coming apart on the 55 at Chapman. After having useless AAA tell me it would be over 2 hours to get a someone out to assist, I drove to Jason's shop and he couldn't have been more helpful. Called in on new tire immediately and even though it couldn't get to his shop in time, he offered to help put on the donut for free. Good people and good businesses are harder and harder to come across. Although I don't live too close anymore, I will be taking other cars there going forward. Anyone in Orange or surrounding cities should send your business Jason's way. CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH! read more

Honestly one of the best shops I've been to since moving to Orange County! John was very prompt and efficient! We spoke a few times on the phone and every time I called in, he would remember our conversation and what I needed done! Honestly, if you are looking for a place to get your brakes done. Go see John and his crew! They are very knowledgeable and very timely with their services! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I'll be back for sure! Also, you can't beat their prices! read more

Took my husbands durango in to get the alignment checked and fix it. Had them check & the only other thing the car needed at that time was replaced spark plugs. Not even a week later, the cat doesn't start at all. First they said the battery was dead, then the starter which quoted me an outrageous amount I didn't agree upon. Autozone had an affordable starter which they said they put in my car but it "didn't start" so they said they'd need a replacement part. I wasn't told that part was the original part I declined. Total cost at the end of the day was 2300 for the alignment issue and then all that starter bs for it to come down go ahead gasket leak and another 5 grand estimated to repair. They really should have fixed the core issue instead of taking advantage of me and working on all these part that don't even matter for a car that won't start again. I don't trust that they did anything they said they were suppose to, my car had no issues before this and it's a 2019, 61k miles. It shouldn't be ruined. I took my car to another mechanic who's just updated me this am, the head gasket is fine, no leak and the starter is old. Idk what midas did to my car. read more

Long story short if they think you know nothing about cars they will up-charge you and straight lie to your face about it. Giving one star because he was nice when he was lying to me. Long Story: Initially the store seemed like an okay place, they fit my car in last minute for an oil change and the guy over the phone was really friendly. When I arrived the customer service guy asked for my car information so he could see how much the oil change was going to cost. I told him it should be $20 - I had been using Midas for the last five years in Indiana and the oil change had never been more than that. When the system pulled up my car info it said that my car required "special" oil that would cost more. I asked him why that was so, he said it's a California law when I asked him what law number he said that it was actually store policy. At that point I left. read more

This is now my go to place for any brake related problems I have. The brake pedal on my E39 was mushy and I had to floor it to get it to stop. I originally thought it was the brake fluid. But it ended up being the brake master cylinder and the brake booster. Jon and the other mans name (I'm sorry I forgot) were super friendly and helped me out. Jon told me what had to be fixed and what could hold off for a bit longer. What I like most about that is he didnt put pressure on me for the stuff that could be held off. Hard to find a mechanic that isnt pushy these days. They were easy to talk to, stuck up a nice conversation with them. The price was good. Better than what BMW would've charged I imagine. 5 stars all around. Thanks guys!!! read more

When I called the shop this morning they picked up the phone quickly and were happy to help. They asked about my car and told me I could get my oil changed while I waited because they had my filter and oil in stock. When I arrived the staff was friendly and quick to get to work. I was in and out with an oil change and tire rotation in about 40 minutes. Friendly staff, upfront pricing and fast, quality work. read more

A little while back John took very good care of me. Only had an afternoon to get a major brake job done which I was quoted at another shop wld cost me $700. Not only did John and his team jump on the work and knock it out in much less time than I had anticipated, I was also very pleased to the price so low and not charging me for something I didn't need, which the quote I had was trying to do. I've been bringing my cars to Midas in Orange for years because of the professionalism and customer care "Johnny" & his crew brings to this repair facility. I came to this location 3 times in the past 2 weeks for an oil change in the early afternoon and every time would be turned away due to their excuse of "we are busy." So today I decided to wake up early and arrived at 7:55 am (5 minutes before they open). At 8:00 am the doors were still locked and nobody inside. Another customer arrived at around 8:05 am and since the shop was still closed he just sat in his car too. At approximately 8:15 am, one of the Midas employees arrived and said that the manger will be late and he couldn't open the doors until his manager arrived. He said that I can leave the keys with him but I refused. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. First of all, why wasn't there a single employee at work during their normal start/opening time of 8:00 am? Also, shouldn't there be another employee such as an assistant manager who has a spare key to open the shop doors just in case the manager isn't available that day? Midas has lost a new potential customer due to a lack of professionalism in this location's business practices. read more

Honesty and Integrity. I took my car to John for a second opinion. I was told by another service center I needed new brakes and rotors all around when I was only there for an oil change. They offered to do it for the low low price of almost a $1000... dollars. John and his team inspected the brakes and I still had 60% all around on my pads so no brakes were needed. John and his team did, however, find a small part that needed to be replaced. They showed me the bad part and I agreed to the fix which was a heck of a lot less than brake sham the other place tried to pull. Long story short, John had the part there quickly and I was out of there before lunch. My car now runs like it did when it was new. Literally night and day!!! I couldn't be more pleased with the friendly professional service I was shown by John and his team. He has gained a new a customer. read more

Got my catalytic converter covered here and so happy I did! Jaeson made sure to explain the whole process and showed me exactly what he was going to do before he started the work. The wait wasn't too long and once he was done, he showed me what was wrapped. They even etched my VIN # and used more wrapping than needed to ensure it was fully covered. Definitely recommend this place if you want to protect your catalytic converter for a reasonable price. read more

After hearing loud grinding noises coming from the rear brakes of my 2021 Audi Q3, I called and spoke with Zee who was very helpful on the phone. Even though I didn't make an appointment to have my brakes inspected, I went to the shop and was greeted by Zee and Jaeson. I explained to Jaeson what was going on with my brakes and about 10 minutes later, he showed me my front and rear brakes so I could see the difference and understand the work that needed to be done. Jaeson then gave me a couple of pricing options depending on the type of pads and rotors I wanted. I chose which option, the parts were ordered and delivered in about 30 minutes, and the work was completed earlier than what I was initially told! Very impressive! This Midas shop provides top-notch service and is my new go-to for all of my Audi's needs in the future! I highly recommend it and have already referred friends and family! Thank you, Jaeson and Zee for your professionalism and assistance getting me back to driving safely on the road again! read more

I only ever took my car to 1 mechanic until he sold his business to a guy who jacked up the prices to almost double. Since then, every time I take my car for an oil change, I always leave feeling ripped off and talked down to. I've never been to a Midas before and after always being disappointed by the other chain auto shops, I decided to give it a shot. John was awesome, very friendly, and professional. First time in a long time where I didn't feel belittled going into an auto shop. I'm very happy with my oil change and will be bringing my Civic back here. Thanks John! read more

No wait at all and customer service is straightforward. I came in for a high mileage oil change and the service tech was honest with me telling me they are currently out of the high mileage oil. I showed a digital coupon that was supposed to be printed but he honored it without me printing it which saved me some money. One of the quickest oil changes and wheel rotation I have ever had. Thanks for getting me in and out. read more

I came to this location a few years ago and they gave me great deals and service. After having family members do my oil changes for so long, I decided to come back here. I called to schedule an appointment and they were extremely helpful on the phone and kept it professional, which I like. I came in and Alex helped me. Walter and staff are amazing! They have been taking care of me for years now and every time I come in, they always mention something that seems off and a couple months later, what they mentioned to me was the problem. I don't normally take time to write good reviews but this Midas totally hooked me up. I took my car in to have them look into a very minor squeak. They determined I needed new pads and rotor resurfacing. More importantly, they determined that my tires were basically shot, unbeknownst to me. Walter went through a few options with me and helped me prioritize between tires and brakes. He recommended a tire place, which I then went off to get tires from. I didn't get the brakes done with Midas at that time but wanted to go back to Midas to get them done. When I returned to Midas 4 weeks later, Walter remembered me without pulling up my paperwork. He even honored the work proposal that we worked up one month prior. He even gave me a killer price. Excellent service. Excellent price. No ridiculous upsell. The car was ready by noon even though I didn't make an appointment - I just walked in that morning. Walter rocks. Go here. read more

Just went there for an oil change and tire rotation; using their coupon, they can't be beat on price! I did mark them down one star because using the on-line appt. system doesn't work (but it doesn't work for any Midas that I've ever used it for) and they post their hours as opening at 7:30 am, but they actually open at 8 am. I have used Midas on Chapman for a little over a year. Mostly for oil changes and tire rotation - the most basic maintenance you can do. My first few experiences were fine other than taking longer than quoted. I had an oil change once and the next day when I pulled out of the driveway there was oil all over my garage. I took it back and they said they must have not tightened the seal all the way. The manager apologized and sent me on my way. Then my battery seemed to be going dead and I needed an oil change so I went back. Told them about the battery they said we check all that out with our oil change so I waited. They told me it was all done so I paid and asked what they found out about the battery. He looked at the report and said it checked out all fine. I said well that is weird it barely started to get over here. So he checked it again said it didn't even register that I needed a new battery. I asked about the report and he said he didn't know. Obviously they never checked it and just wrote that they did. I decided I couldn't go back there again because they couldn't be trusted. But found a nail in my tire so since I bought them at Midas with the with the roadside service and warranty that they will fix the flat or replace the tire if it isn't fixable. When I took it back to be fixed I find out they didn't replace the lug nut lock so now they can't get the tire off to fix. So I told them they lost it they should replace it. Well they fixed the tire so I assumed they replaced the lug nut lock. WRONG! Well today I had another nail in the tire and find out they just took off all the lug nut locks and replaced them with regular lug nuts. (Without my consent or knowledge). (I should also mention that they are under new management from my previous issues) They showed me the tire which has a big "bruise" as they called it I said well you can't fix that right? They said no so I said you will replace it as per my warranty. Their response: they need to talk to the manager to find out what the process is for the warranty. So now I'm waiting to hear what their manager says about the warranty process. They said they would call me tonight or tomorrow? Why should it take all day to find out the process. Call the warranty company or manufacturer. After all this I will NOT be using this location again and I would recommend no one else does either! read more
