I went to Midas Northfield 7/1/25 to get an estimate on a muffler for my pickup. Just short of their location I stopped for a red light and lost most of the brakes. I made it to the shop okay. Told Jason I didn't have an appointment, just wanted an estimate for a muffler and please check the brakes. Within a half hour it was up on a rack. Jason told me the rear brake line blew and a muffler was needed. I couldn't drive home and no one to come get me so Jason took me home and picked me up this afternoon to get my truck. They replaced the brake lines on the rear and the muffler. Very friendly employees, clean shop and waiting room. I'll definitely be telling others about the excellent service I received at Midas Northfield. read more

Took my car (2011 Nissan Rogue) in for a new drive shaft, shifter cable, and shifter assembly ($3,800). Picked it up on a Tuesday and didn't drive until 2 days later, Thursday. Parked it in an outside parking lot in Cleveland (lot was on a slight incline). After work when I went to drive it the car would not go into gear. I called Midas (10515 Northfield Rd) and they told me to get out of the car, find a rock and put it behind a tire, then push the car to see if it would go into gear! I told them I couldn't do that so they sent a guy out who did something with the cable so it could be temporarily put into gear and driven to the shop. Once there the mechanic looked it over and said it was a bad shifter cable bracket. He added that he had noticed the bad bracket when he did the original repair but he didn't mention it to me because he wanted to save me money! I couldn't believe that excuse. Do not use this shop. I waited 8 days for the repair to be done and they do not return phone calls. Also didn't seem too concerned that the car had broken down 2 days after they said they had fixed it. If I could give zero stars I would. Six months ago I had new tires and brakes put on my car. Three months ago I had a complete blowout on one of my tires because they did not properly seal the tire to the rim. Today, I found out that my brakes were completely worn out after six months and 8,000 miles because they were not properly lubricated when the brakes were put on. I strongly urge everyone to not utilize Midas. They are dangerous at this point. read more

Midas corporate was contacted. Slow response at first. They arranged to get my car repaired at the same Midas. I went today and they corrected the shock they welded in the first time. Same manager as before Dylan was apologetic. I already had fixed the misfire my self ( incorrectly installed ignition coils and boots. I had to replace one coil, 3 boots, and all five spark plugs). I took my car up to this Midas 3600 miles ago to get an oil change. I go in there and the first thing they tell me is what's wrong with the car. They told me I needed new struts. 30 minutes after my oil change, I took my car next door to firestone to get my car aligned and they said my struts looked fine... the reason I will never think to go to Midas is because today my engine was making a ticking noise. I pop the hood and pull the dip stick. There was no oil on the dip stick (there may have been a quart in there) They forgot to put it in! Customer beware! Stay away! I went in there because I had the Nordonia band car and the oil change was 20.00. I'll spend the extra 5 bucks and go somewhere else! read more

This was the worst oil change I have ever experienced. I asked for high mileage oil, and they used the wrong one. I asked if they checked the tire pressures since I had an indicator on, and they said yes, it was all fine. Light stayed on all the way home and all the tires were low, one dangerously so. They obviously did not check them. I asked them to check the windshield wiper nozzle, and they said that they fixed it and it was working great. I checked and its still broken ( when I looked the tube was off the nozzle) they obviously didn't bother and lied straight to my face about that and the tire pressure. My daughter took my car to Midas today to have a noise fixed and the brakes looked at. It is a 2006 Alexis. It has over 300,000 miles on it. Kyle was very thorough. He ran the car through a diagnostic test. He called withing 20 minutes of looking at the car to tell me what the test has shown. He explained the repairs needed, the cost, and some discounts he was giving us. He also said that besides new brakes, calibers, pads, and rotors it would eventually need new struts. He didn't pressure us to get all the needed work done that day and quoted us what each thing would cost. Again, he gave us a great discount and an outstanding deal. He also threw in a free oil change. I would highly recommend going to Midas for your car repairs. They took great care of us. Thank you. read more

I drove in 20 minutes prior to closing and they took me right in. My brakes were squealing. I had for bad brakes with front caliber frozen. They quoted fair price and had someone drive me home so they could get an early start on the repair. I called off work but had to go back. They were done before noon and picked me up. Horrible experience. Especially Matt. They are very nice when trying to get you to give them the business. Afterwards, true colors come out. Took my car there. They quoted me $1400+ for brakes, rotors, and rear calipers. I said No. Then they kept negotiating with me. I did not agree to their ridiculous high prices. Finally, agreed to $480 out the door. I said okay. Made me sign an original paper with $1400+ price. My wife went to pick up the car and they charged her 680+Tax. I never agreed to that. They are telling me I signed the paper. They put that 680+tax number afterwards. I called them and said that is a wrong charge. Matt answers you signed it. I was like what? I never agreed to that. I told him that I will call the corporate office and his rude response was they can't do anything. Go ahead call them. Horrible service. I would never ever take my car there. If you are thinking about Midas let me know tell you that there are other places who are honest and will do a cheaper job. I am new to the area and just made a huge mistake. Buy parts on your own and take it to your local guy. It would be much cheaper and they won't cheat you. I have already contacted their corporate office. According to Matt they can't do anything. So I am just curious to know what they can do. read more
