    My brand new lease. 2020 Ford Civic hatchback.

    my second time getting a car from this dealership. I traded back my lease and got a brand new one and was very relieved to drive away in a new one , despite a drop in my credit over the past couple years.... Medical stuff, you know. But management worked with me and the sales person, and Honda finance approved me as a return customer. There are not many finance companies that will consider your circumstances. They will just go by your credit report and take your head off. It is true that if you treat Honda right, they will treat you right. Most dealerships will not. Certainly, the loan-sharks would not. The dealership is very clean, and the people are all pleasant. I have never felt uncomfortable or pressured. The sales person I had listened to what I needed and actively did her best to help me. They treat you like a person here and not like "fish food ".

I have had my vehicle serviced like clockwork with this location since I purchased my vehicle from another Vendor brand new 2013. I Never missed the recommendation for oil changes or anything with the vehicle. And then, in January, of 2022 I took my car in for the usual recommended oil change and servicing. Within a month, I started, noticing that the vehicle was not running as smooth as it should've been, and made an appointment to have It looked at & found out that there were "shavings in the oil" which meant there was a problem with the engine. The repair cost me over $5000 which totally blew me away because I have been on top of any and everything pertains to this car because I totally love my beetle bug! How can a person get their oil changed along with the factory recommendations on a vehicle a month prior to be told the next month that particles from metal were found in the oil pan from the engine? That vehicle was my only mode of transportation. Which meant whatever I had put aside and sell had to be used to get this matter fixed. Yes, the work was done on my vehicle. The Service workers Rock! I have not had any problems with it since and I shouldn't have problems because it cost me over $5000. About 5 months later, the motor went out for the Convertible Top. This also cost me over $5000! Which means I spent over $10,000 on my vehicle within a year. I do admit that it turned out that my daughters shoe somehow became lodged with the convertible top. When I used the mechanics to seal and close the top I take full responsibility for that, but I don't take responsibility, nor my bad feelings for what happened to me next when I came in to pay the second bill within a seven month Period. When I came in to pay, I wrote a check to cover the expenses and was told that they did not except checks for that amount of money. I reminded the workers behind the desk that I was there less than seven months ago and I paid them by check for the work that was done on my engine a month after I had it serviced by them I was told everything was fine with the vehicle after my routine recommendations were finished on my vehicle. I then went to my bank teller at Huntington Bank, and had a bank check issued and made out to Streetsboro Volkswagen in which the attendant held a check up in the air & then towards the ground as it to say to me that it was a fraud check. I was mortified at the time that he would do that because people were in line waiting to pay for their vehicles, I felt that my check was handled as though it was a fraud ad though I wrote a bad check when it was clearly a bank certified check. I was so embarrassed that I just walked away to cool off and came back in which I watched as another worker along with another staff member was in the back room, which had clear glass staring at the Huntington Bank Check and counting the numbers on the bottom of the check. I approached them and asked what were they staring so intently at? They said that they wanted to make sure the check had the 'proper' amount of information at the bottom. I replied ' i'm not sure what's going on here, . But If you need to have someone else check a certified bank check to make sure it's appropriate. You're probably in the wrong job. I walked away and contacted the management by phone the next morning to let them know what had happened. This is one of three situations within the past three years that have happened at this establishment and I'd rather take my car anywhere else to have it serviced than to the Volkswagen location in Streetsboro. Please understand, I don't have a problem with the mechanics; the mechanics I would give a five out of five stars! It's what I've been experiencing and dealing with the staff behind the desk, and in the back office with the windows has brought me to the point that I would rather drive to Medina, Willoughby, and even North Olmsted to have my vehicle serviced rather than 5 miles up the street to Streetsboro Volkswagen.

    I am writing to formally document my experience with the service department at Nissan Streetsboro,…read morewhich I believe reflects a serious breakdown in professionalism, communication, and standard automotive service practices. In 2018, I purchased a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum from this dealership. Since that time, I have maintained the vehicle meticulously and accumulated approximately 140,000 miles without incident. The vehicle had never experienced oil leaks, loss of power, or drivetrain issues. Recently, I noticed a low ticking noise originating from the engine bay. I brought the vehicle to a local independent mechanic, who diagnosed the issue as a timing chain requiring replacement. Due to the mechanic's scheduling backlog and my desire to prevent further damage, I elected to take the vehicle to Nissan Streetsboro for immediate service. Upon arrival, I was informed that a diagnostic would be required at a cost of $175.00. At no point during this initial discussion was I advised that the dealership had only one technician capable of performing this work--who, as I later discovered through repeated follow-ups, was semi-retired and worked only one day per week. Despite being provided a loaner vehicle, Nissan Streetsboro retained my vehicle for approximately four months for what was represented as a diagnostic evaluation. During this time, communication was minimal and only occurred after repeated inquiries on my part. I was eventually informed that the engine had been removed and reinstalled during the diagnostic process. I want to be unequivocally clear: I never authorized the removal of the engine or any work beyond diagnostic evaluation. When the vehicle was returned to me, it was in significantly worse condition than when it was delivered. Specifically: The oil pan had been replaced without explanation or authorization. Numerous engine bolts were loose. The engine was leaking oil extensively--an issue that had never previously existed. The transmission was no longer functional, requiring the vehicle to be towed after leaving the dealership. The dealership's diagnostic report concluded that the engine block was cracked. This conclusion is difficult to reconcile with the fact that the vehicle was driven to the dealership under its own power, with no oil leaks or performance issues, and was rendered completely inoperable only after Nissan Streetsboro's involvement. To further compound this situation, I was informed--without any voice communication--that the vehicle was now effectively valueless and that repair costs would total approximately $19,800.00. This information was presented via electronic communication along with a request for an electronic signature, absent any meaningful explanation or discussion. In summary, I delivered a functioning vehicle for diagnostic purposes and received back a vehicle that is now non-operational and substantially devalued, following extensive unauthorized work. This experience represents a complete failure of customer care, transparency, and professional responsibility. I am documenting this matter formally and will be evaluating all available options moving forward.

What I did get was exactly what I wanted for considerably less than I would have paid if I had found it on my own - Jon more than made up for what I paid him in savings alone - plus he handled everything. He also took my car in trade and gave me exactly what Kelly's/Edmunds said it was worth (in trade). The second time I arrived, I was told that they only do certain jobs on cars at certain times of the year! If you can believe this! I suggested that no matter what a mechanic was doing, they were being paid by the hour, and she said it was the owners decision that they can only do certain types of work certain times of the year Coming from a family of mechanics, you could've knocked me over with a feather. This is insane. Not recommended. They will never get one penny of my money. Is there anything less than one star?

    I returned for another Oil Change, I could not do it myself because they tightened the oil plug…read morebolt on so tight, it broke my Craftsman Socket. I already put the oil filter in & bought a new bolt because my wrenches kept slipping off. I aske them to change the oil & not the filter, subtract that from the charge. I got "attitude". then She said I needed Synthetic, I stated No that is not what the owners manual & online states. She said here "system" is right & I am wrong. I get the Invoice @ $74.85, for oil not requested, online spec's: 5.9 quarts of SAE 5W-20 Motor Oil, including she did not take off the filter charge. Gave me attitude on the way out. Poor customer service. Only reason why I went back is because I thought they would cut me a deal for cranking that bolt on, I not charging me for another new filter. They LOST my business after 5 years. No Number to who to complain to since she is the one to complain to. First time some one RIPPED me off since I was a Teenager 40 years ago. FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!
