very unprofessional talking to other workers while on the phone with me, not polite at all. I was speaking with a guy name nick I had an appointment set for 11am Tuesday, somehow it got "canceled" or never put it from what he said. I told him I already got a quote from another worker of his yesterday he gave me an quote 3Xs the amount the guy told me yesterday and was confused on why i was getting told this crazy price when it was nowhere near that number yesterday and I already got a quote he told me it doesn't matter quotes are made up unless you come inshop to do them. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE I was replacing brakes on my car when i noticed a caliper was broken. My mother took the car in to get it replaced the next day. They told her the car needed pads and rogers all around plus both front and rear right side calipers replaced. Now mind you i just did the brakes the night prior with new pads so i know they were BULLSHITInG because it was a women who dropped the car off. so i called and told them what i wanted them to fix exactly. the guy on the phone was pissed he didn't get over on my mom and was rude short. after all that they still did pads and rogers on the front and replaced the broken caliper. read more

Remember when tire pressure check and rotation was included? What happened? Did all the shops come together at the big oil convention, and say we should all just charge $24.99 ? I impulsively just decided to see if I could get an oil change done with a break in my game day schedule, rather than wait to make an appointment. I called Mr. Tire with their coupon, that told me it was a misprint. Valvoline had extra add on charges. My wife pointed across the street at the Midas sign. Dropped my vehicle for a later pick up. When I got the call to return, the price was just as quoted. No upsell of services. No pitch to get a credit line/card. I think I heard him telling another customer that they were employee owned now. I did have to ask for a report card of all my vehicle inspected areas. Although the tread depth was not recorded. I was ok since I had new tires. Special items of note... This is a great place to go get an oil change if you like waiting 2 hours and don't mind paying $80 for your Honda CRV. Oh, and the customer service was equally appalling. The manager had the nerve to tell me about a cabin filter that needed replaced after having my car from 8am to 9:40am! He said it would only take 20 minutes. I relented and said OK. 25 minutes later I saw my car had still not been touched. I talked to the manager and he said he was just about ready to go back and see what was going on with my car. I told him to forget it and just give me my car. He became very unprofessional from that point on (he refused to say one word to me--no thanks, no goodbyes, etc). Pathetic. read more

So far I have come to this location three times and all three times I have felt like I was treated properly. I moved to Columbus six months ago and I don't have any family nearby so when I run into car trouble I can't go to my dad to have him give me the best advice on what to do. I trust this Midas shop that they will give me the cheapest option and the best solution to fix my car and keep me safe on the road. They have changed my taillight and plugged a hole in my tire for free. Along with that I came in one day after work with an emergency and they were able to squeeze me in and fix my car so I would be safe on the road the next day as I was headed on a road trip. Midas can typically be more expensive but I will continue to keep coming to this location. read more

Midas New Albany were great at diagnosing a problem with the tires and rims on my Mercedes. I am very happy that I stopped by and they were able to fit me in. The manager, Cody, gave me sound advice and took care of what could have been a dangerous situation for me. I was charged almost $400 to fix a problem that my car never had and the issue for which I sought to be addressed was not fixed. I was defrauded and treated very poorly by the staff. I will never take my vehicles here again and recommend that everyone avoid this location. read more

1st service = Mustang after market brakes = 5 stars! 2nd service+ = Accord distributor+ = 1 star :( 3rd action = district manager Dan assistance on 2nd service = 4 stars I don't trust Cody and will not have work done in the future as long as he's at the shop. Everything was great here till I brought my girlfriend's car in. All that was done was an alternator and wiring replacement on a 1997 Accord. We just needed the car to run for another couple years. It was an old car. We didn't need the most expensive parts. I shopped around after I spoke to a mechanical friend at work about this who used to work at repair shops. It was only upscale parts that cost as much as they charged. I was told these were Honda parts. I didn't get any serial numbers from them proving such, but paid the $900 because I thought I had no choice. If I was smart I should've told them that was way too expensive. Maybe they would've made it more affordable. I went in there expecting to pay no more than $500, and that's on the high end. You could imagine my surprise when I got the estimate. I was already hooked since they charge a bit of money to check out the issue. I think all they did was take the suggestion a guy at Autozone told me... scanner said engine misfire to which the Autozone rep said possible distributor replacement. Friend at work told me it could've just been a bad spark plug which would've cost me at most $50 if I had Midas take care of it. This whole experience really pisses me off and I still have over $700 on my credit card from it since I had to use the money Dan gave me for something else. I ain't well off and can't afford places like this and Tuffy to charge an arm and a leg, especially when the work was probably unnecessary. *A special thanks to Dan the district manager for helping me out a little. I only rate this action 4 stars because I didn't get the tax back off the $200 difference. At least it was something. That was the bare minimum I was asking back. I feel it should've been more. Still it was a nice gesture and makes me want to come back to this Midas but only if Cody isn't there. read more

The sales associate at the front desk informed me that they only had one size blade in, the other wasn't made in the smaller blade's size yet. Factory from Toyota only. As a young woman, I know absolutely nothing about cars. My car randomly would not start one day. Naturally I was freaking out, and I searched the Internet to find somebody that would fix it. I ran across Midas on yelp and I called them right away. Mike the manager answered the phone and was super flexible and said they could fit my car in, no problem. **So-called owner Cody, followed me to my car to belittle me. ** I scheduled an apt online at work, late morning. It had an option for a time "range" of 5:30-6pm. I chose that one. I work in gahanna so this location was the suggested online. I get there around 5:40. I went in and said I had an appointment for a oil change. The guy couldn't find my paperwork then pulled it out and kind of slammed it on the counter. Pointed at some handwritten notes and said. "Did you get a call at 12:02?" I said I don't know I've been at work. Came straight here. He said "is this your number?" While pointing at it. I said yes. He then says "I called you to say I couldn't possibly take your appointment." I said ok.. I have an email confirmation. I didn't get a bounce back. He said "yeah doesn't work that way. That's why I called." I said I was at work. I can't take calls. That's why I scheduled online. Why wouldn't it kick back if you were full? He said "it's not that we are full. We close at 6 and an oil change is an hour service." I asked why the 5:30-6 range is an option then. He said he "doesn't know." At this point I said ok I'll just go somewhere else. Another company. Because this is inconvenient and rude. He says "ok" I then said on my way out I'll just call the corporate office about this. He said "it won't matter. We are employee owned" I get out to my car and am looking for the corporate number and he walks out to my car. I look up and he's standing there with a business card. I rolled my window down and he handed to me. I said thanks this is really helpful. He said "it won't matter. It's just going to come to me. I'm the owner" I said ok. So there is no Midas corporate? He said "I'm the owner. I write all their checks" pointing to the garage bays. I said ok so if there is an issue. A midas company office wouldn't have an issue regardless of owner or not? He said "no I'm the owner it will just come to me" I said look. I'm not saying this is your fault personally. What I'm saying is that this is wrong. You shouldn't be able to go online and schedule an appointment for a time that is never an option due to closing time. That is a company issue. He said "maybe" but it won't matter. I'm the owner." I said ok well maybe I'll just post it on social media with reviews. Everywhere. All platforms. Then he got mad and started yelling at me saying "why. Why you gotta do that. Why would you? This is my business." I said because people need to know what they are dealing with. This is terrible customer service. You're not even listening to me. You are just blaming me for not getting on my phone while im at work. So I'm going to post it if corporate calls are not an option. He then starting yelling even more and aggressively pointing at me. He said "why you gotta do this? I have a baby at home. You are taking food at of her mouth" at that point I rolled up my window and left while he was still yelling and pointing. I didn't even get a mile down the road before my phone started ringing and it was him!!! I recognized the number. I cross checked it with the site. I didn't answer. At that point I was pretty shaken up and couldn't. This guy is not just rude. He is aggressive and could be dangerous. It looks like Cody has a lot of feedback here and on Angie's list. I'm not looking to get anyone fired. But he HAS to be managed. No customer should ever be treated this way. What should have happened is either 1. Accommodate the appointment and acknowledge that's an issue with the site and take care of it at a company level. Or 2. Apologize! Be NICE! say I'm so sorry I tried to call you. No pressure service. Came in for an oil change without an appointment. This is a full service car shop. After running diagnostics and inspecting the car they let me know what the issues were. They only gave me quotes on things I wanted. I left only paying for the oil change. It took longer than 15 minutes because its not a 15 min lube stop, and they were busy. Worst oil change experience I have ever had! I was there for two hours for an oil change. The staff was rude. The technician working on my car was chewing tobacco. Instead of working on my car he was getting up to walk over to the trashcan and spit every 3 to 5 minutes. I misplaced my $20 oil change coupon and when I called and explained they still honored it and even fixed my flat and educated me on what was wrong with my car and what was needing immediate attention and things that could wait. Had my car towed to this Midas, trusting the brand I had used in the past, but this Midas is not trustworthy. They did a $90 diagnostic without my permission while I was at work. For a battery and alternator, I was quoted a price of $700. After being unable to pay this, they eventually agreed to use a re-built part, but the price was still near $500. After agreeing to this on Wednesday, the mechanic said he would have it fixed by Friday morning so I could pick my car up without being charged a storage fee. Come Friday morning the car was not fixed, had not been worked on, thus causing me to cancel an entire day's worth of appointments. These people are dishonest. Take your vehicle to another Midas, if not another garage altogether. read more

Dennis the manager made me feel welcome from the moment I drove in there parking lot. I was greeted at my car with a hand shake. My car was pulled right in the shop. I came in for an oil change, and he went over the specials they had, and he explained the extras that came with the service. They did a complete courtesy check of my vehicle, checked/filled my tire pressures, filled my washer fluid ( thankfully, because it was empty..lol) and rotated my tires for free! I couldn't believe that they did all that work for only $23.53 after tax.. They crew there seemed to be on top of things, they were all well dressed in uniforms, the shop was very clean. My serpentine belt broke on my car this afternoon. I drove to Midas to get have them look at my car. The manager was very helpful, he looked at my car and gave me an estimate on price before starting the work. I was very impressed with how fast my car was fixed. He told me it would take 3 and a half hours but they were done which 2 and half hours. I would recommend taking your car to them. They were honest and extremely helpful. read more

Used to be a regular customer, however this week I scheduled an oil change to which I was advised it would be a 45 min job and when I showed up I was informed they are running behind 2 hours. No heads up was given I was just found out and I showed up. The so called owner didn't even apologize. Me being a fair and understanding person, decided to reschedule the appointment to a different day that week and was promised this would not happen again. I called 30 minutes before my appointment and was told fhe service would only take 45 min. I show up to be informed that fhey are running 2 hours behind. This is just unacceptable and horrible business practice. This is very unfortunate and now have to look for a new auto repair shop. Everyone was very nice and accommodating, however, it took 3 trips to finally get my problem resolved. I had to get my brakes checked and fixed. After the first visit, my brakes no longer squeaked but I now had to press my brake all the way to the floor to stop. We went back the next day and they claimed they fixed it again. Excellent service and top quality car care. I have been a long time customer dating back over a decade. Cody and Brent took care of my 2006 Toyota Camry today. Not only did they go above and beyond to correctly identify the problem, they gave me good advice and kept the repair to exactly what was necessary. I could have easily been charged more, but they were honest. When the repair time was going to extend longer because a part was needed from across town, Cody cheerfully got me home safely.
