Came in at 9 am for an appointment, for an alignment and oil change. After my services were completed and I left. I get down the road and my steering wheel is way off to the left after "Bret" told me that it was straight. Don't lie to your customers. It's ridiculous. I come back and express my concerns and that I was pretty irritated, his answer was "well we can do it again if you want" no your gonna do it again. I paid $209.99 for a lifetime alignment, he was irritated that I came and brought my car back. Don't bring your car here ever. All the other reviews were correct about this place. This location has gone downhill. I took my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in to have the housing unit for the oil filter replaced due to it leaking. A month goes by and it's leaking again. I take it back in to the same location and they proceed to tell me that it's the gasket from the tray pan that is leaking. I told them that it's fine to go ahead and replace it since it's the gasket and the warranty company will cover it. I got a call back from Firestone stating that the warranty company will not cover it due to the fact that it's the transmission kit, which includes the pan and they went ahead and replaced the pan without notifying me first. At this point I was pissed because now I have to pay the full price. Long story short I called customer service and I was told I would get a call back in about 2 to 3 business days and this was over two weeks ago. My vehicle is still leaking from the oil housing unit. I had to call back Firestone customer service today to be told. I have to wait another 2 to 3 business days to receive a call back from somebody high up in the company. I will be contacting Ohio Board of Motor Vehicle Repair and an attorney when I come back from vacation on Thursday. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION. read more

They Did NOT Change My Oil I brought my car to this Firestone location for an oil change and paid for the service. After leaving, I discovered they never actually changed my oil at all. This is not just poor service - this is fraud and could have caused serious engine damage to my vehicle. I trusted Firestone as a national chain to perform basic maintenance, and instead they took my money without doing the work. This is completely unacceptable and potentially dangerous. Not changing oil can lead to thousands of dollars in engine repairs. I am extremely disappointed and will be contacting corporate headquarters. Had to scrap a vehicle because of Firestone. 20+ year customer, was taking multiple vehicles here. One was an accord with only 70k miles. They always went out of their way to make sure I was getting recommended services at certain interval but never mentioned transmission. Took the accord there regularly the transmission block broke months after taking it in. Had to scrap the car because I couldn't afford the rebuild. The invoices have the wrong mileage, they only have 23 or 1000 miles listed which means they never checked for recommendations at my actual mileage. I even tried to argue more work was needed with my car before this happened and I was assured it was fine. I was connected with the area manager who gave me false hope and ghosted me. read more

This might be the second worst Firestone in the Columbus, Oh area only in front of the location in Gahanna. We are a fleet company and they got approval Monday for oil change and tire and they still don't have the van ready now they say they don't have an oil filter in stock and have to wait for one. We have regularly used the Firestone locations on Morse Road ( Columbus ) and now their location on Reed Road ( border of Upper Arlington and Columbus ) and never had any issue with their work. Highly recommended ! read more

I received a quote and an appointment a week before drop off. When I dropped car off, the service technician mentioned that he would need to verify the quote that was in their system since the person who gave me the quote was "relatively new". They called me an hour later to advise that the actual charge would be $250 more. They conceded that it was an error on their side since I gave them full/complete information in order to give the quote. 1. I'm not sure what the point of a quote is if it can be changed through no fault of the customer. 2. They seemed to acknowledge an issue with one of their employees yet allowed me to come in (when they had several days to alert me before the appointment of an issue) to drop off my car and waste my morning. 3. The sales and service specialist Cory - who was acting as manager that day - was indifferent to my presence while discussing the issue with him. Did not make eye contact focusing on computer while speaking with me. At one point, I asked him if he needed a minute to gather himself and he responded "No, I can hear you". In my opinion, customer service credentials are earned when things go wrong. Any company should be able to routinely accomplish the service they advertise. But when there is a screw up, that is when you really see the company and people you are dealing with. For this location, it was a situation of "It's our error, but its going to cost you money and time". I don't engage with people or companies that behave this way. read more

I just want to share my overall very unsatisfactory with Firestone on N. Hamilton Rd. in Gahanna, OH, as a warning to customers not to fall into the same traps. I brought my Ford Flex in on 3/3/26 for a minor tire repair involving a nail in the center threads and ended up with $3400 in repairs that left me with a virtually undriveable vehicle. My first mistake was agreeing to completely new rear tires on the basis that the interior threads were worn due to bad struts. Fair enough, but was this really an immediate issue? My second mistake was agreeing to a $10 front-to-rear inspection, which of course brought up the problem of an impaired left axle that required immediate attention. Since I have a 16-year-old daughter who drives the vehicle, I didn't want the impairment to result in an accident, so I agreed to an on-the-spot replacement. The replacement took all of 6 hours (from 7:30 am when I checked in to 1:30 pm) due to a defective part that had to be reordered after delivery and attempted installment. (At this point, I'm out $900.) The Flex drove fine after this for about two weeks when the power steering gave out. The reservoir was completely drained, so I filled it with Prestone Stop Leak to get it back home (about one-quarter mile) and drive it to Firestone the next day (about 1 mile). I noticed the power steering fluid leaked onto the drive from the left wheel well only. According to Google AI, a poorly replaced axle can cause this issue. In any case, I took it back to Firestone on 3/17/26 and, upon their recommendation, had the power steering pump replaced. At this point, I was informed the control arms also needed to be replaced, so I agree to this as well (although it was something they didn't point out on the first inspection). (Total cost: $2500.) I was told I could wait for the repairs, so I waited from 9 am until 3 pm, when I asked the service tech how much longer it would be. He said they wouldn't be able to work on it until the next day because of part unavailability. Why they didn't inform me of this earlier, I have no idea. Anyway, I picked up the Flex the next day, and the power steering was still unresponsive, which they said was my fault for putting stop leak into the system and gumming up the lines. I had used the same stop leak for a power steering issue a year previously (not involving a pump replacement) and had no issues with performance. As I drove it off the lot, the engine warning light began flashing and the engine began vibrating out of sync. This was not an issue when I delivered the vehicle. Aside from the power steering, the engine ran fine. I took it back immediately and reported the issue, but I was told it was too late to work on it that day (5 pm and the service desk tech was just leaving) and to make an appointment to bring it back later in the week for a diagnostic. I was told the power steering repair had nothing to do with the engine problem. Coincidence? Maybe. Long story short, when I called to see if I could get a free engine diagnostic and inspection of the axle, I was told by a manager there was nothing further Firestone could do and to take the Flex to a dealer for further repair (estimated at more than $2500 additional). So here I was, out $3400 for repairs that made the Flex worse (as in undriveable) than when I brought it in. I'm not saying that Firestone is to blame, but it does make me wonder. Well, here are my lessons learned: 1) Do not agree to the $10 front-to rear inspection; they'll be sure to find something that needs immediate attention. 2) If you take your vehicle in for something simple, like a tire repair or oil change, don't let them upscale you on the spot; thank them for their recommendation and drive away! 3) If the estimated repairs for a used vehicle (in my case, a 2010 Flex with 161K) exceed $2500 and it's driving fine, just use the estimated repair cost as a down payment and trade it in for a new vehicle (which I did, $3400 too late). 4) Do not take your vehicle to Firestone for repairs. read more

I wouldn't normally review a service like this but I just had to get on here and say what a positive experience I had. I've bounced around to a lot of different places to get my oil changed in the area -- either they try to upsell me on things I don't need, or don't complete the task in the estimated amount of time, or are just rude. I spoke to two different men while dropping off and picking up and both were professional, kind, and polite. My car was done on time. They even made sure I got the coupon that was running for an oil change (i was unaware of). I'm not sure what measures they take while grabbing your car, but as far as entering the building and dropping off / picking up, they are taking precautions for covid. They took 5 hours to do a scheduled oil change and then when I came to pick up my car, it was unlocked and someone had rummaged through all my stuff - glove compartment and middle arm rest compartment - trashed the front of my car. My husband went in to tell them and all they could say was , "that's really weird, we lock all the cars." Also, found out they don't have security cameras or anything to check on the cars sitting out in the lot, from inside.... I had a really bad experience bringing in my Mazda into the shop. They charge over $400 for a hob bearing only on one side then they make a list of the items of the repairs that I supposedly need to be done on my car. one bomb was the shocks, I only did the hub bearings and I told the guy I was going to bring the car later on for the shocks after a little bit more or over a month later I brought the Mazda back into the shop for the shocks they say the job was going to be done in a couple hours before lunch After an hour he call and say that the problem was not the shocks it was something else and the mechanic suggested that I should do all the repairs before I do the shocks the other repairs total was over $1000 to fix now I wonder what would be happening if I did my shocks when I brought the Mazda in the first time, then we clearly would spend the money on something I didn't need in my opinion they lied to me they trying to make a quick buck out of me. Terrible communication from the employees. We needed a tire replaced. They lost the tire, ordered the wrong tire, and then refused to put the new tire on. When I asked to speak with the service advisor, he refused. This has led to a loss in confidence and a terrible customer service experience. I have been taking my cars here for years but the last 2 visits have been subpar. The first time they did a tire rotation and gave me the car back with a flat tire. Thankfully it was a loose valve but that is not something that should have been messed with in the first place. Second time I got new tires installed and not only did it take more than 10 hours to get my car back but they even left the stickers on the new tires which just seems lazy to me. I was getting a lot of looks from all the noise of my tires thumping every time the stickers would hit the pavement. Needless to say I am done with them. Phenomenal service. I went to simply get an oil change and when they went to empty the drip pan, the screw was so stripped down they couldn't get it off. They showed it to me and explained it to me so I could understand. I was understandably upset since I would now have to pay for a new drip pan and 1.5 hours of labor. David is the service manager and he was empathetic as the situation wasn't anyone's fault just a wear and tear bad luck. So he gave me a huge discount, left the sales floor and did the work himself to make sure I wasn't waiting a long time. He was apologetic when he didn't have to be. Keith who is the sales manager is a car guru also. While I was waiting I asked him a ton of questions about other possible issues with my 5 year old car (54k miles). He was extremely informative and made everything he was saying really easy to understand. While I was waiting a customer would call in every 10 minutes or so asking him a lot of questions and advice - he was so polite, friendly, helpful and very honest to every person on the phone. Even though I had to wait for a few hours I felt like I also had the privilege of gaining so much information that will help me down the road. I was taking all of my cars here for oil changes. That is until my visit last week. They told me that the serpentine belt needed changed and I agreed to have it replaced. After picking up the car and turning on the A/C the belt squealed extremely loud. I was told that the A/C compressor was locking up and needed replaced. Second opinion from another car repair location: The belt was routed incorrectly and there was nothing wrong with the compressor. Additionally the voicemail that Firestone left for me stated that the cabin air filter was dirty and needed replaced, for $49. I have been using this Firestone since they have opened, but I'm not sure that I will go back after my most recent transaction. I had scheduled an appointment for 12/26 at 10 am. When I arrived, there was a man at the counter on the phone. He said he would be with me at some point. I waited for about ten minutes but knew because I was waiting to set my stuff on one of the chairs. I then approached the desk, and once he got off the phone, he said, "you're getting closer," and continued to type on the computer. After about twelve minutes of waiting, he looked up, and I said I had an appointment and that I would be waiting for it. He said that I would need to be there for a few hours rather than the hour I was told when I scheduled the appointment. I asked why the wait, and he said he only had two techs out of the four scheduled, though there were two in the bay and two walked in while we were talking. As a side note, the two in the bay were throwing snowballs at one another. I have always had excellent customer service here, but I thought that the man who was at the front desk was rude and condescending. I called the Morrison Firestone store, and they fit me in on Sunday, and I was done in less than forty minutes. read more

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE AT ANY FIRESTONE!!!! 9/27/21 I specifically explained 3 times that I would like to do a tune-up, alignment and check ALL the normal wear and tear, Cuz I haven't had my car serviced for quite some time. So general maintenance to anyone is tires, brakes, hoses,fluid things that u normally need to service due to normal wear and tear on a vehicle. $800 later I thought I was ok and they did all that I needed...Well 11/14 almost rear-ended someone cuz my brakes went out on my car, The scariest thing I've ever been through. I Called Firestone and had it towed back. Let's just say that's when all the craziness, chaos unnecessary stress and anything that can go wrong did. As of 11/14 I'm still without a car, the 3ring circus that the manager Jonathan and all his worthless helper like Jesse. On 11/14 when I had to tow my car back in there my friend was with me and heard the whole conversation we were both in shocked and confused with all that was going on and what they were telling us. One point they said $500 to fix the metal brake lines that are "so rusted and corroded" but they didn't see that on 11/27 I said ok do it needs to be done, this is with Jesse cuz t Jonathan the store manager started arguing with me and yelling and being rude and so disrespectful because he wasn't supposed to be working that day according to him, then says he just came in to fix his brother's vehicle. Mi en My Friend and shock, and I said why are you even talking to me as a Firestone customer it just continues to get worse. Jesse proceeded to say they're going to "inspect the car" and I know basically they are going to do all that was supposed to be done on 09/27 4 days later it's now $1,300 the same metal brake line, I need rotors, pads bearings ect. AND I'm told theres $7,500 3pages of issues ...And yes the brakes/general maintenance is ALL that I asked them to look at on 9/27. According to Firestone in black-and-white estimate they gave me "my car is unsafe to drive". IF they would have told me on 9/27 ANY/ALL the issues I would not have paid the $800 on09/27 for alignment, spark plugs, and the motor for my windshield wipers very minor compared to the freaking breaking system, oh and same day store manager Jonathan tried to tell me my 8 month old tires are really bad and will messing up the alignment SMH. If they were honest with me I would have looked into a new car back in Sep. The unprofessionalism, disrespect literal trauma the store manager Jonathan cuz me is not something that anybody should ever go through, Jesse the whole store gives the brand Firestone a bad reputation and I can't even comprehend how many other people they do this to daily and it seems like regional and corporate don't care either. on 11/18/21 is when I reached out to corporate several times explained several times when the best time to call me and it seems the 2times DAN from corp called me while I'm at work and couldn't answer. It can feel intimidating to take care of my car on my own as a single woman. I feel compelled to write this small review of the excellent work this Firestone has done on my 2004 Buick LeSabre. I've taken my car there for front and rear breaks as well as other routine maintenance. Last week, I needed them to figure out why I was losing coolant. Even though I had to wait most of the day, I was very satisfied. The mechanic, Mike knew what the problem was even before he looked under the hood. It turns out that my car has plastic parts attached near the alternator that house the thermostat and other things that need to be cooled by the system. The two plastic "shoulders" wore out and thus, the leak. After he attached new metal shoulders and new coolant and an oil change, I was good to go. It's a week later and the Buick runs like a top! read more

I've been going to this location since I moved to the area almost a year ago, though I have used Firestone in other places I've lived including out of state. They've all been great but this particular store is my number one after all they've done for me and my Subie. I can't say enough good things about these guys, and I have a pretty big mouth. But there really are no words to describe my loyalty and appreciation, but I'll give it a good shot here. First, over this last winter I've been in for some tires due to a vicious nail and a few times for a blower motor issue that was plaguing me for some time. The tires were pretty cut and dry, but the blower motor thing deserves some recognition as these guys were the ONLY ones to figure out what was going on with my Forester once and for all. I was having some problems with the motor freezing up completely and blowing all my blower fuses and not working. It was minus zero out so needless to say it was a huge problem for me. Did I mention yet that I work out of my car? Yeah. Big, BIG problem for me. I had been in once when the fuses blew the first time, they fixed the fuses and we left it to see if it happened again. Next snowstorm it happened again so I took it back and they checked it out. Turns out, there was a stupid little piece of metal in that area of my dash that was bent out of shape which was allowing water to seep in and flood the area and it was soaking my blower motor and then of course it would freeze beyond recognition and kill the whole thing. They replaced the motor and then fixed the bent metal piece so that didn't happen again, and it hasn't! Problem definitely solved, and no one else had been able to figure that out. I didn't even realize until it was fixed that a water leaking problem I had been having inside since I bought this car was because of this issue. I though a window or door frame was leaking, causing major water in my floorboards. Of course, resulting in a very wet car and that lovely moldy smell all the time. I never made the connection between the two seemingly separate issues, but these guys caught it and solved it. I even replaced the windshield thinking it wasn't sealed correctly or something. Literally could NOT be happier. It's been several months now and not a drop of water when it rains and no more moldy stink. If I wasn't happy enough with these guys they totally outdid themselves today, I don't know if they can top this but we'll see in the future as I'm obviously not going anywhere else now. I made an appointment for some brake work, there's been some grinding and screeching going on. I take her in and when dropping off I do mention that I'm planning on trading in about two months from now, so I'm not looking to do any heroic measures on brakes that Subaru is just going to overhaul when they go to turn around and sell it to someone else. They come back and tell me that it's not really my brakes or pads, possibly just some rusty areas making noises sometimes. He did say that of course if I was planning on keeping this car we would do some maintenance stuff and replace the pads but since I was only going to have her for another couple of months then he didn't see a need to spend a ton of money on this and I should be fine. I was absolutely gobsmacked. This is a situation where a lot of places would have taken a woman for a ride and replaced things that truly didn't need to and charged me a bunch of money needlessly. I've been meaning to sit down and write a glorious review for this place, but at first after the blower motor issue wanted to wait a bit and make sure it was going to stick. Then life got busy and I just forgot. Today's experience reminded me and I made sure I took a few minutes to show my appreciation and gratitude to Firestone, and hopefully let anyone else know that this place is worth their precious time and hard earned money. No one else is getting mine. On a personal note, these guys know me by now and know I'm a dog trainer. I'm always talking about dogs with the guy up front and he showed me pix of his gorgeous new puppy today. Love this place! I just can't recommend it enough. Aside from all of this their hours are really convenient, they always take me in an emergency, and I've never waited too terribly long. Long story short, anyone who is searching for that elusive trustworthy mechanic who isn't going to screw you over and goes above and beyond the call of duty doesn't need to look any further than Firestone. This is the second time I've reviewed this location, and also the second visit I've ever had here and I couldn't be more OUTRAGED! The first time I was uninformed of quotes and charged out the ass after they had fixed something. I will say, they made it right for me in the end... But this time, is much the same as last time where I am basically robbed with a lie. My story began with a clear transmission failure. Being that I live across from this location and that in their title it says "Complete Auto Care" I figured I could get it towed here for some help and give this place another shot. Well, I was wrong. After a $100+ assessment of the vehicle, all they shared with me was that the transmission had 3 quarts TOO MUCH of transmission fluid and that they DO NOT FIX transmissions. Well, in knowing that it was a transmission situation in the first place, I would have absolutely loved to had known that before hand (once again) and would have taken it somewhere else to save the money! Also, my Mercury Sable can't even hold that kind of overflow! In checking the transmission fluid a week ago it was med/ lower end of the stick and had also been OVER A MONTH since the last time I had added any. Makes absolutely no sense! In taking the vehicle to a transmission specialty shop afterward, they themselves even called out the fallacy of Firestones assessment in also sharing that they either don't know what they were doing or knew how to exactly read it. Sorry Firestone, I took my car to you in belief that you could do something. But once again, you lied to your neighbors and pocketed the cash, then inform that you can't fix transmissions.
