Firestone is just built different and helps make sure everyone's vehicles are safe to be on the road without pushing unnecessary services. This location was no different! And the fix was more affordable than compared to other shops nearby.

Service Requested: Tire Rotation…read more I set up an appointment to rotate my tires at 8:00am. I arrived early at 7:50, when I tried to go check in, the door was locked and there was a hand written note on the door explaining that due to staffing issues they wouldn't open until 8am. "No Problem", I will just wait in my car for a few minutes. Two people arrived and stood at the door waiting to let in so when the doors did open, I was third in line. The first person steps up to the desk to check in and after looking them up in the system, the tech exclaims "I'm sorry I don't see an appointment at this Firestone for you. It looks like you set one up at another Firestone." then proceeds to take his request and checks him in. The second lady steps up. She also doesn't have an appointment, and the tech checks her in just like the first guy. I get up, I see you have an appointment at 8:00am, it is now 8:15am mind you, and after taking my keys I ask him how long it will take. He looks over at the other two people who don't have appointments, kind of shrugs his shoulders and tells me it will be a while. I ask for my keys back and leave. Never once did he tell the two people without appointments that he will have to work them in or tell them to maybe go to the correct Firestone. So disappointed. So maybe this would be a 4 or 5 star review if I didn't make an appointment and just showed up when they open. I bought a car jack and rotated my own tires.

I bought tires for my van on Jan 15th 2026. I also bought a front end alignment for $130. The right…read morefront tire was leaking. We were not driving the van as we were having huge snowstorms and the van was covered with 10" of snow. My husband and I are retired and did not have to go anywhere in the van. We also have 3 other vehicles that have 4 wheel drive. I finally took the van back on Feb 4th, and found it had a faulty valve stem which Boyd fixed. At that time they told me I needed the right lower ball joint replaced for $822. They did not mention that when I bought the tires. I went to buy the ball joint and was told that Boyd could not have done a front end alignment with a bad ball joint. I asked Boyd about it and they said that was correct, but acted like I ruined it after I got the alignment. That's when I went to check the mileage on the van. We usually put about 2500-3000 miles per year on our van. The speedometer said that we had put almost 600 miles on the van in less than 3 weeks while we had not been driving the van. They had listed the mileage as more than 500 miles less than we had started with. They said that was a typo, but was it? If they take 500 miles off of every customer's mileage, then if you have a problem with your tires, they will say that you have put 500 miles more on the tires than you actually did. They agreed to refund my money for the front end alignment, but it has been over 2 months and every time I call them it's the same story. The check will be coming from the main office. It should have been here in a week. It's been 8 weeks and no check. Make sure you che k your mileage before you buy tires and do not ask them for a front end alignment.

Buying tires, in general, is expensive. Which is why often we have them patched or only replace two…read moreat a time. Service is also at a premium of money and time. These places are busy and stay busy. I have found it is always a better outcome, when possible, to shop for tires online and then have them shipped to a shop for installation. This avoids the frantic decision making of picking out something because it is available and thus compromising on warranty, quality or prices. Please keep in mind, none of this is a critique of my experience with this branch. It's merely a commentary on how I approach this process. Regarding my recent experience: communication with the shop was efficient and effective. They answered calls quickly, described their current workload and scheduling concerns clearly, and maintained a pleasant, professional demeanor. Due to a snow storm, my shipment was delayed a couple days. Since I had ordered the tires independently, none of this blame in delay fell on them. (Even if I had ordered through them, realistic expectations have to be kept. These guys aren't driving trucks over from Indiana.) Once i had been notified that my tire shipment had arrived, I called the shop and made sure they could get me in and finished on that day. I then arranged towing through OnStar. I sent my keyfab with the tow driver and waited my call from the shop. With about 2 hours left in their workday, I got my call to come pickup. A short Über later and I was at the front desk with an hour to go. Now here is the important part. Don't bail on the review too early... The technician slid the bill across the desk to me. My eyes, of course, drew immediately to the bottom line where, to my dismay, I found a total more than 3x my expectation. At that same moment, the technician clearly explained each line item, breaking down how he had discovered the object logged in my tire. He then patched it and rotated the set for me. I thanked him for his hard work on my behalf, however, I was the guy who had a set of tires shipped in that day. He apologized and slid my key back into his hand. He explained that he was going to have to let his boss know there was a mixup and to please bare with him a moment. I saw him go over and say a few words to his manager before immediately leaving out the door. The manager quickly wrapped up his phone call and came over with a pained look on his face. He, of course, now remembered my call and what our plans were. He apologized and asked that I please have a seat as they would take care of it right away. And they did! By 6 o'clock close the manager personally pulled my car up with its new tires installed. And with a final apology handed me the key. I asked if I needed to sign anything for him and he started that he waived the charges due to the mixup and my inconvenience. Now, I don't expect that this is the type is place one should go to if they are looking to get a free ride. But my recommendation is this, and I believe it a strong one: go here if you want to deal with someone with integrity. There are a dozen different ways this could have been managed in a disagreeable fashion. What I found was a team who was willing to own a mistake and work hard to deliver a good outcome. They didn't put it off or displace blame. They just went to work, right away, to do the right thing. No need to ask me what I wanted to do about the problem... They knew what I wanted. They just got about the business of delivering the service I had asked them for in the first place. And to top it off, they put a value on my time spent inconvenienced above the time they spent in effort. If that doesn't speak volumes, I don't know what does. You might choose to take your business some where else, to your folly. For my part, they have earned my loyalty.

(Note: there is NTB, Firestone, Discount Tire, and 2 more major chain locations in our town.). We left the vehicle for the day an picked it up with new tires. The price seemed competitive (approximately $800 for set). The initial sale was reasonable & came with "free rotation". After the first 10k miles, I called for my free rotation and they could conveniently schedule it 2 weeks out & leave it (obviously "convenient" is used sarcastically). Clearly they didn't want you to use this service. So we opted to get the tires rotated during oil changes in lieu of the inconvenient option earlier noted. After 45,000 miles of the 80,000 mile tire (tread life limited warranty), we take it in to review the difference in wear & they don't want to warranty anything because we didn't rotate the tires. When we stated we rotated elsewhere & can produce the records, they replied "you can bring in the records, but it doesn't mean they rotated them". Really?! Side note: we got a hole in one that needed repaired shortly after purchase & took it in for repair. Their response to that was "we will fix the first one, but after that you have to pay for it." $800 and you can't swing $0.49 for a patch that takes 5 minutes to fix. With 5+ competitors in town, I would think they would embody the hometown vibe and give top notch quality service to sustain, but that's just me. Need tires? Then pick one of the other 5 that may support their product.

He answered all of my questions and was quick and efficient with resolving my issue. I walked into Tire Discounters at 5:39 PM and walked out at 6:42 PM. I say that he was quick and efficient as he had many customers come in after me (it seems that he's the one that handles all of the paperwork and getting your information put into the computer system) but was quick to get my car finished before closing time (7 PM). While waiting, customers can enjoy programming on two televisions, free WiFi, and a cup of coffee or a bottle of water in the waiting area. A couple of other perks that will bring me here for future visits are below: Military members: 5% off tires. 10% off services. Chevy Equinox owners - $52.99 for a full synthetic oil change! Considering I paid $90 elsewhere a couple of days ago, I will definitely be back for my oil change! I will definitely be back for future services!
