It is also a bit awkward getting in and out if you are not from the area as those options are limited. After pulling out of the way I confirmed it's actually a Moo Moo Car Wash but had to loop back around and navigate thru the lots for a third time. I have the monthly membership to the franchise, so the cost was included. The wash did a decent job, though the dry cycle didn't fully do the trick. Staff were friendly during the quick interactions. I'm not sure what measures they take while grabbing your car, but as far as entering the building and dropping off / picking up, they are taking precautions for covid. The floor is marked for safe distancing, they wear masks, and there are barriers up.

The long version - I had a bad experience at a different shop where my first call was great but my on site experience was terrible so I decided to call around. Cody answered and really set the tone for a wonderful experience. He was kind and accommodating, but I was still skeptical. So I showed up and was greeted right away even though a handful of people were already in line. As another employee walked by, he also greeted us and let us know it would be just a couple minutes. The place is bright and clean with a very comfy waiting area that includes drinks and snacks. The line moved quickly and Mike was the one who checked me in. He took the time to find out what my concerns were and asked questions to get as much info as possible for the tech. Even with other clients there, Mike gave me his full attention and didn't rush, yet everything was efficient and thorough. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people and that's the vibe I get from the whole team there. I was able to take the shuttle home even though the regular driver was off that day. Curtis (an advisor) filled in and was so friendly. At this point I was still holding on to a little of that skepticism because I've been a service advisor, I've had over 100 vehicles, driven over a million miles, and had work done in at least ten different states at countless shops. I know electrical issues can be difficult and some techs just push them out the door without doing any work. Luckily that's not the case here. I got a call from the technician the same day. He explained what was going on so far, asked a couple questions, and let me know what the plan was. Again, no rushing, just kindness, caring, and good energy. I'm sorry I didn't clarify his name, I heard Muño but I could be way off. Either way, as a customer, he was one of the best technicians I've talked to. I later got a text with the inspection report. It was clear, thorough, and had videos of my vehicle along with pre recorded videos that explained some of the systems and issues. Then I get a call from Mike and we talked about how to prioritize the repairs since I'm on a budget. He didn't try to make me feel bad for not being able to get some of the work done, he didn't change his tone and rush me off the phone. He was compassionate and gave me honest feedback about which things are safety concerns and which ones I can come back for when I'm ready. I am so impressed with the whole team at this location and love the fact that everyone communicates so well. I didn't have to call them once and I was able to text if I did anything. I don't think you'll find a more caring team anywhere. I've had plenty of good advisors, good managers, and decent techs individually, but in 30 years of vehicle ownership, I have not found a place where every single person down the line held the same standard of honesty and kindness. This is now my go to shop for everything and I don't even live nearby! So if you need work, even if you're 20 miles away, this is the place you need to go!! Side note, check out their site for easy scheduling or special offers.

I was there for 4 new tires, an alignment, and free oil change. I gave it 2 hours and came back. My car hadn't been moved or even touched. Then they tell me to give it a few hours and they'd give me a call once it was ready. I went back home and gave them 4 hours till I called and asked about my car. They told me my car was ready and they don't know why nobody had called me. I showed up for the 3rd time in one day and as they are looking over my paperwork, they say someone forgot to do my alignment. The front counter guy told me that if I bring it in the next day, they'll take care of it. I was a little frustrated because I waited all day, paid $650, and didn't get what I paid for. I left there and the moment I got on the highway, my tires started making a terrible noise that I've never heard before. It sounded so bad, I thought my car was about to break down. I called the store back and told them about my issue and they told me to bring it back so they could take a look at it. Once I got there, they had no idea what it could be. I had to leave my car there for the 4th time that day because I had a family event to attend. Shortly after arriving to my family event, I get a call from tire discounters and they say that they found the problem. They said they accidentally put the wrong size tires on my care and I was going to have to pay over an extra $200 for the right size tires. After all this inconvenience, I asked the manager Mike to please put my old tires back on and to start processing a refund for me. He said that gonna be a tricky thing to do because corporate has to get involved and I said I didn't care, you didn't do the job I paid for and I want my money back. Finally, Mike sends a email to corporate and tells me it'll take 7-15 business days. I take my care the Stringer repair shop and they tell me that I'm missing 2 lug bolts from my rim and have to pay an extra $16 for 2 new lugs. It's now been a month since that day and I still don't have my $650 refund check and I just got off the phone with manager Mike and he still can't give me an answer on why I haven't received my refund check. This has been the worst experience I've ever had and I highly recommend not to come to this store. Stringer auto repair in Johnstown took care of my car and I had no issues with them. Very frustrating experience. I wanted to take the cheap way out and go with tire discounters but ended up paying double. Don't make the same mistake I made.
