This store is absolutely aweful. We purchased new tires in March and the 2 front tires leaked from the day they were installed. I took the car into the shop today to get the issue resolved and was accused of the vehicle not being mine. The license plate and odometer they recorded was both wrong. I had to agrue with them and finally we reviewed the VIN number and I got the original invoice out of the glove box to show them. They then said they had made a mistake and would fix the tires. So I go home and they call me and ask where the tire lock key was located. I said its in the glove box. The manager told me the key is not in the glove box. I told him it had to be because his store replaced the last set of tires in March! The car only had roughly 19,000 miles when we had the tires replaced and those were the original tires. In March, Tire Discounters used the key to take off the original tires to replace them with the new set we bought. They never gave us the key back!! The manager then tells me there is nothing he can do and he cant fix the tires unless he has the key. At that point, I got mad and started getting upset. He tells me he will pass it up the chain and maybe they will go and purchase a new key from the dealership if they approve it. I told him that wont work because the tires need to be fixed and their crew took it and never gave it back. He then tells me that that prior crew was all fired and he cant do anything and he wont fix the tires or go and buy a new key. He then hung up on me. Aweful service. I've taken my car here for the last two + years and have to say they do outstanding work every time. I've had front end alignments, tie rods replaced, engine work, and, of course, oil changes. And while I have from time to time gotten estimates from other shops nearby I have to say TD has always given me the best price. They drove it and said it needed engine or transmission work without a check engine light on or a single code lol. $440 tire was put on the rim when promised. When I spoke to Bryan I asked if it could be put on the car. Pretty simple. He said they were busy but he'd get it done. When I showed up, Bryan left out the back of the shop and took off on his motorcycle. Young lady at the counter said it would be 45mins-1 hour. Love this place!! Everyone is always so nice, friendly and knowledgeable. They have saved me hundreds of dollars, time and energy. Showed me the problem with my car before putting $800 of tires on it. Advised me to go to dealership to have them fix the malfunction (extended warranty) for free...YAY. Of course, I went back for tires and again, super pleasant and quick. I recommend getting the extra coverage on the tires...it is worth it. So when I hit one of the ever present Columbus potholes...and my tire went flat almost 4x in less than 48 hours. I came back to see about getting it fixed. They hooked me up once again. Paid 1000 dollars to fix my thermostat housing and oil cooler. I got the car back and it was making a horrible noise that was not happening before. 2 drives later the engine completely shut down on me. I got it towed back to their store to get a refund and they claim there is nothing they did to mess up the engine. It was already failing they said. But they let me pay for a repair the car didn't need if the engine was failing. They would not give me a refund. The tread on my tires had been getting low so I knew I was going to be in the market for new tires soon. This afternoon (Saturday of Memorial Day weekend) one of the tires ran over something which caused a flat so today was new tire time. It was just after 1pm so I called ahead to see if they could help as I knew they closed at 4pm. I was told they might be able to get the job done so off I went. I dropped my vehicle off, chose the new tires I wanted, and explained that I fully expected to pick it up on Tuesday after the holiday. I was told there was one car ahead of me so there was a chance it'd be done today. Sure enough, I received a call just after 3pm that my car was ready to be picked up with four shiny new tires. The guys could have let my car sit all weekend and I fully expected them to but they put in the extra effort to get me back on the road the same day. Went in to get a simple oil change, the guy behind the counter asked if I had an appointment, I said no and he said that he had three in front of me and it would be two to three hours before he could get to me. I looked in the service area and all the bays were empty and so was the waiting area. Plus he said an oil change would take between 45 minutes to an hour. Nothing like finding out your unable to finance a $1500 set of tires until they are on your vehicle in the parking lot... I don't understand why you aren't able to check on financing until you have already had the tires installed and your ready to leave.. It's not the end of the world but it's an inconvenience and could be a really big inconvenience for some. Just expect to pay in cash apparently. read more

Very frustrating experience. I scheduled an oil change online, a week in advance. When choosing any appointment option online you need to select a preferred appointment time, and then you submit your request for an appointment. I requested a late afternoon drop off appointment. The following day, I received an email confirming my appointment, with no instructions other than that I had a drop off appointment scheduled, and there was a note at the bottom suggesting you typically need to drop off by 10 am to get your vehicle back same day. Considering I chose an afternoon appointment and was instructed with no specific time frame for drop off, I was under the assumption I could drop off any time before close and have it back some time next day. I even called in the day prior to confirm that I would be able to drop off after work and have it back in the morning hours tomorrow. -- ultimately, when I went in for my drop off this afternoon, I was met with a very condescending and unapologetic employee. When I let her know I was In to drop off she, rolled her eyes and let me know my appointment was supposed to be today. Confused at this I replied yes. Which is when she explained that I needed to have my car in by 10 am to receive any work today or tomorrow. I tried to explain the situation and lack of communication I had received explaining this. Rather than being met with any sympathy or solution oriented dialogue, I was left with continued eye rolls and affirmation that it was my fault I'm in this situation and there's nothing they want to do. The fact that they didn't even want to try and reschedule something, let alone take any ownership for the situation reflects incredibly poor customer service and entrepreneurial spirit. Since moving to the New Albany area a few years ago, I've exclusively used tire discounters and have had nothing but exceptional service, so to be treated this way was quite the shock. read more

That's right, Tire Discounters has actually made tire changing something to look forward to. Well, maybe. I may have gone a little too far with that one, but it wasn't bad for me at all. I had to replace all four tires on my old Corolla before giving it to my teenage daughter. Naturally, I wanted the best that money could buy for my little girl, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money either. Now that's dichotomy - the best quality at the lowest price. This is not easy to achieve, typically. I was greeted warmly by a smiling Manager who kindly took all of my information and examined the car thoroughly. Then, we began the buying process. He suggested several different brands before we narrowed down the selection to the tires I wanted. He initially offered a good price, but after a little coaxing, he generously offered a lower price, which made me very happy. Fortunately, I was able to enjoy a quick meal and check my email at a nearby coffee shop while Tire Discounters did their magic. Before I knew it, the Manager called me and said, "It's ready!" I said, "Already? Nice!" When all was said and done, I was one happy customer. They include free alignments, free rotations, free balancing with every tire purchase. I thought that my car had a bad wheel bearing. Tire Discounters had replaced it a little over a year (20,000 miles) ago. I went on line to schedule the appointment for the next day in the afternoon. The next morning, Saturday, I decided to just stop at the shop and verify or schedule the appointment. I was told that the earliest appointment I could get was for Wednesday morning - I accepted it. On the Tuesday night before my appointment, I dropped my car off. Late Wednesday morning I stopped by the shop and no one had even looked at the car. I had previously informed them that I needed the car by that day. At that time they told me that they would look at it right away. The wheel bearing was bad and the car was fixed that afternoon. The shop gave me a break on the new wheel bearing replacement. Other minuses: prior part only lasted a year, I could not get an oil change with conventional oil - 13-year old car. read more

The staff is ALWAYS super friendly!! Sooooo much better than going to a dealership where they don't really seem to care about you... but I digress... When I needed new tires, I got a great deal on some Michelins for my truck. Their prices beat everyone else I checked with... even Sam's Club... Not to mention the service here so so much better! All the service guys were really nice and friendly....which is rare to find in this type of industry. Stopped in to fix a flat tire. Short wait time. The people at the counter were helpful, but the techs in the back working on our car were EXTREMELY immature. They were literally chasing each other around when they should have been working on our car. Lots of yelling and clowning around. They didn't even bother to put any paper or plastic covering on the light interior before sitting in it to move it. We left with the tire pressure light still on because they were so inept they didn't think to turn it off. Too busy refilling their vapor cigarettes I guess.
