I came here because I had a leak in my tire and I was assured by Kendre and Thurman and they were both very helpful and made sure I was safe. Kendre worked with me on trying to get the best deal for a new tires and was very pleased with the service I got. I felt like I got a very valued deal. I purchased my tires in February and immediately noticed a loud noise when driving. After returning several times and they had realized my car several times the man told me that I had just purchased all weather tires and they were all noisy. After an agonizing few weeks I discovered that my wheel bearings were at fault. This week I went to have a tire checked because it had a slow leak. The lady at the desk told me it had a nail in it and that the tire needed to be replaced. $306 later it arrived the following day and she said that they didn't have any available appointments so I had to wait 2 hours for them to install it. After digit 3 hours I noticed my car parked in a different spot. It was fixed but no one let me know. Very poor customer service read more

I didn't realize that Discount Tire had acquired Tire Rack and I was a bit dubious, as we consumers so often get she short end as mergers often mean service. I usually use TireRack to buy and have tires shipped to one of their recommended shops. I used to do track days with one of their guys and they're real car people. I decided to give Discount Tire a try and had some snow tires switched out and balanced at this location and they were nothing but timely and professional. Prices were good, the shop was very clean, equipment looks up to date and importantly the tires were balanced very well and torqued properly. I tangentially saw the manager take time, while very busy, to get one of his techs help who was obviously having a difficult family or personal issue. He cared, which is great to see. The front desk writer took the time to sort out getting the notorious difficult Cayenne TPWS, tire pressure warning sensors, to sync with the different rims/tires. He even took out his phone and watched a youtube video on how to get around Porsches grumpy german ecu's. Recommended. read more

These guys are the absolute best. I brought my car in for them to just do a tire inspection for a front passengers side tire that was losing 10psi a week; sick of refilling to 32psi every week.. Asst Manager Bill found a small nail embedded in the tread I hadn't seen so he repaired it and gave me a guarantee the tire was good to go from then on. I get my wallet out to pay and Bill tells me to put it away, the amount of time and materials used were minimal and my money was no good this time. I say are you sure? He says yeah we're good, Merry Christmas. I had (2) large Donato's pizzas delivered to their store the next day for lunch and it was money very well spent. Dropped off car in the late afternoon for a tire change, after getting a response that new wheels arrived week and a half after leaving behind old tires. They mentioned that they will have it done by 8pm and will let us know via text when done. Haven't gotten any notification past 8:15pm. (They close at 9pm) Called multiple times, just to make sure that they were being worked on. Nothing. Went in the next morning, missing couple hours of work, said they did text us the night before, which was an outright LIE. Showed them the text message history between them on the spot. So after my experience at this Sawmill Rd location, they must just be an excellent company all around. But I can attest that this particular location has some really amazing people working there. They were kind, and determined to help me be safer on the road. Their efforts were impressive and much appreciated! They may not have been able to repair my tire issue that day, but their efforts to do so speaks volumes about not only the character of these young men, but it makes me feel like this is a decent company to work for! I am from New England and I have not previously been a customer of Discount Tire. I flew in today to visit family about 100 miles NW of Columbus and picked up a rental car at the airport. By the time I had traveled 15 miles I had picked up a nail in a tire. I called three local auto/ tire repair shops and it wasn't looking good in my search for help until I called Discount Tire on Sawmill Rd. Despite not being a customer, the counter tech , Kelly, who answered the phone was very friendly and said "no problem " and that they would take care of it. To my complete surprise they didn't charge me a dime. In this day and age, I am completely astounded. If that is how they treated an out of Towner in a rental car, I think you can expect to be treated well when you trust them with your business. read more

I bought tires at Discount Tire for several vehicles including the MB GLE I have now. They closed my store at Mill Run and I was forced to go to Sawmill Road store for service. At Mill Run service was great and on time. At Sawmill Rd service is poor and never read. Today I had an appointment for 915am. Checked in around 905am. After checking in I was informed they would get to my vehicle at 10am. For a simple balance and rotation that was unacceptable. With a 915 appointment I should be out the door by 10am. You should not charge your customers to transport tires that you commonly already have in-house. It makes the customer seem simply "unlucky" - its by pure chance that we come in and you don't have a set of common tires in-house. This company charges you $25 to move the tires to the store you're at. That's like going to a restaurant and paying an extra fee because their Pepsi ran out of stock. Sorry, sir. If you had come on a different day when we typically have that Pepsi, we wouldn't bill you for it. An employee tried to make the argument "we don't know when we'll need to use that tire again..." Yeah, well, I don't when I'll need to shop at Discount Tire again. Also, these guys sell all sorts of tires and push you to buy more expensive ones than you need. If I say I'm fine with a 50,000 mile range tire, stop quoting me the total cost for the 70,000 mile ones you wish you'd sell. Do you even make commission? Lastly... if the phone is ringing and you have a room full of people waiting in line, and you have more than one person able to work a register, put one person on phone calls and have the other person handle the in-store customers. We just drove to your business. Stop giving priority to the telephone. By the way, I just made an appointment with a competitor called tirediscounters... they don't have the tires in need in-house, but they also don't charge to re-stock them. makes more sense. i give Discount Tire two stars instead of one (or zero) because they have done good work on my cars in the past... when i was more lucky. read more

Went to Discount Tire on Sawmill Rd to have the tire pressure monitors(TPM) checked due to my ck tire air pressure light could not be reset to go off. I had taken my car to the dealer and they said the TPMs were working and to have light turned off would take going through all the wiring and would be costly, thus I declined and would learn to live w it. Did so for a while, but it was bothering me so I went to the Sawmill Discount Tire to get their evaluation. I was greeted pleasantly and promptly. Out to car, and tested all TPMs which were in working condition. Without hesitation employee took cable and plugged into car connected w tester and 'reset' the unit. Immediately the light went out and I was pleasantly surprised. There was NO CHARGE for this which in actuality only took a few minutes, but it took knowledge, time and concern to remedy the problem. I was very impressed and would recommend this establishment. The employee who assisted me was Drew and I congratulate you on your customer service. Husband made an appointment to have tires replaced and to have tires aligned. Upon arriving was informed, "Our alignment guy isn't here today, so we can change your tires today, you can drive around on them for a few days out of alignment and then bring it back in so we can finish the job." SMFH Your team should not be making appointments for cars to receive new tires and alignment if the alignment guy cannot be depended upon and apparently having more than one person to do the job is "unheard of". They come out to greet you while you're just getting out of your car, escort you inside, walk you through the process, just simply amazing. My sales representative was Mr. Jim and I couldn't be any more pleased. On January 31, 2023 approx 3:15 pm I came into store after tire light came on. This is not the store I usually come to. The tech at air station said I had a flat and I needed to park and go in. I did inside I gave my phone number and asked how long would if be and was told be prepared to wait or leave my car overnight. Since this wasn't my usual DT store I didn't want to leave car in this area and asked if they could just put the spare on for me so I could go to my usual customer friendly DT store. I got a one word answer "no". I went to parking lot (19 degrees) and got my spare and jack out to change tire myself. I couldn't loosen the lug nuts so I asked if they could loosen them "no" was my answer. I called someone to come help me loosen and change tire in the parking lot while they watched. I have done business with the DT store on Hilliard Rome Rd for 15+ years and have never been treated with such disregard. I've been giving Discount Tire my business since the first year I started driving. I've been cursed, when it comes to car and tire preservation. The cost of DT tires is very affordable. Off course not top notch slabs of rubber, but durable, decently priced rubber rounds to buy. This was my first time at this DT location. I was mentally preparing myself for a large crowd of customers, with several cars in line before me to get fixed, when I arrived here. To my surprise there was only one other customer seated inside, and my car was third in line for a change-up. I only had to wait about 45 minutes, and to me, this is quite efficient. I was greeted when I walked in. The gentleman who handled my situation was polite an pleasant. Low oldies music was playing in the front. So my car is in the shop, after an accident-- not my fault. My Enterprise rental car came with a bonus nail in the rear driver side tire. My plan: bike ride; my car's: flat tire fix. Guess who wins? So I came here, where I always go for tires. Their prices are right and they fix them for free. Even so, I had not planned to do a review--just wasn't feeling it--until their awesome and friendly customer service compelled me to do it. Never in my life had I met such a warm, friendly staff. They made me feel like a long lost friend. They fix tires for free. So if you had a chronic leaky tread come here. Right in the door I was greeted with a smile. No waiting, he walked out with me and checked for leaks. Sure enough he found a screw, no doubt pick-up during one of my cars intimate trysts with the pot holes of Columbus. Inside he check his records and ask if I would like them to be rotated, a service for free I was entitled from buying the tires here. I accepted, was told it would be 45- minutes, and took a stroll through the Sawmill asphalt desert. I came back 45-minutes later and sure enough the job was done. The clerk went through everything they did: removing rust from the wheel, patching the tire, inspecting for damage, ect. When I went out the mechanic was also super friendly, going over once again what they did, and showing me the tire for verification. In all, fixing the leak and rotation cost me nothing.
