I have had my tires ,brakes, air compressor and radiator done here Brad and Kori were so helpful I will always take my Mercedes there I had a light come on saying my hood was not down took it to Mercedes in Carmel they charged me 355$ and said I needed a hood latch so got the part and took it to Midas Kori said it was the cable so let Mercedes know it was misdiagnosed ordered the cable and Brad and Kori worked me in and fixed it I will always take my car there I'm a traveling nurse so my vehicle is very important I feel blessed I can trust them thank you guys so much! Shame on you Midas. I am a woman and a senior citizen (70's) and went to Midas because my car was making a loud rumbling sound. After getting a diagnostic on my fuel system, I was told that I needed a new flex pipe and a C V axil and was quoted a price of $868.00. When I told them I wanted to think about getting the work done, I was urged to do "now" as the axel was bad and could break at anytime which would make my car stop on the spot. I left anyway and went for a second and third opinion. I was assured by a mechanic and another muffler shop that all that was wrong was a hole in my tailpipe that could be easily repaired for $100. Needless to say, I was very upset with Midas for trying to take advantage of me. Save yourself some $$ and stay away from Midas!!! read more

I visited Midas for brake service and experienced conduct that was unprofessional, unsafe, and contrary to basic consumer standards. After I dropped off my vehicle, the front-desk employee informed me they could not work on my car due to its ride height. When I expressed frustration about being told this only after the drop-off, the employee escalated the situation instead of attempting to resolve it. During this exchange, the employee used profanity toward me and refused to return my vehicle keys in a timely manner, holding them out of reach while continuing to argue. This created a clear safety concern, as a business should never withhold a customer's property or engage in hostile behavior. Due to the employee's continued aggression, I contacted law enforcement to ensure the safe return of my keys. Later, the store manager called me regarding the incident. Instead of offering an apology or attempting to address the behavior, he stated, "You're not the customer we want" and expressed that he hoped I would not return. Stay away. read more

I came in for a brake inspection, already expecting I needed new brakes. After confirming this, Cameron discussed pricing with me and even knocked a little off. They worked quickly and had me out in about an hour and a half with brand-new front rotors and brakes. Took my car in for possible transmission issues since they were close by and I had a good experience with Kevin who no longer works there. They ran a diag for $120 and after having my car for over 2 hours, they gave me a long list of repairs including my manifold, timing cover, and replacing two tires that would cost $3500. All things that didn't relate to my issue. I felt pressured to make a decision and was told, "The issues could worsen if I let it go on too long," by the guy at the front. I never followed back up with them after all these red flags. Had even worse issues the following couple weeks with my car misfiring and check engine light coming on over and over. Eventually took it to my father across town and was told the misfiring was causes by the mechanic not putting my air intake back together properly. If he had not fixed this, it could've ruined my catalytic converter and totaled my car. Turns out my initial issue was spark plugs that needed replaced, something I was never even quoted for. Summary: Do not waste your time here under any circumstances and listen to the other reviews, this Midas will recommend fixes that are not needed and will tear your car apart without batting an eye. Auto-zone down the street will run a diag for free if your check engine light is on as well. read more

drive away as fast as possible from this place. went to check the brakes on my van and after not even removing the tires to check them they told me it was a part rubbing against something and they where going to fix it. drove off and still heard the same sound. ended up going to Firestone and they told me I was down to almost down to nothing on the padding. never going back read more

Went in to get my brakes fixed, the most unprofessional and rude experience I've had at a shop. The men made fun of and laughed at me when I told them i couldn't afford the expensive repairs. I have been going to this same Midas for 6 years and it is very much my go-to for car needs. Mike is the GM and he is a reasonable and fair guy who will always do right by you. One recommendation is just to drop off your car, if you're able. There have been a couple times where my car took longer than expected and I was stranded there. Hey my Indianapolis people, DO NOT I repeat DO NOT take your veh to Car-X Tire & Auto @ 8579 Michigan Rd, and let me tell you why! Apparently there's an issue if you as for a definitive answer regarding leaving your veh. I need my brakes repaired and i asked employee Doug if they were able to get my vehicle in this morning and Doug had to check. No problem. Doug comes back, doesn't say anything so I proceeded to state, doesn't look like you'll be able to get it in. Doug responded with "we possibly could get it in. I stated that I needed something more definitive he again stated "possibly/maybe" I again asked if there was a definitive answer I could get and he told me to take my business elsewhere! No attitude with this employee whatsoever ever at 8a!! I proceed to leave, turn around and ask for management contact. He give s me a number for someone named Anthony, who made multiple excuses for this employee stating that he's been with the company 40 yrs and he might not have known the schedule because he's a floating manager. I inform Anthony that that has nothing to do with the lack of professionalism that was displayed by this employee! I even state that NO ONE in the service industry cares about customers anymore, and this is the proof!! Don't give them your business!! I wound up taking my veh across the street to Midas as this Car-X and its management don't care about the community and customers they serve! read more

I went in to get my brakes fixed. The brakes were working but making a grating noise. Waited in lobby for a couple hours. Then a guy approached me with a brake pad in his hand, telling me that the problem was my brake pads were worn all the way down. For all I know, he could've just pull that brake pad from the trash. They told me how much it would cost. I didn't have the money, so I drove out of their parking lot. Now, there was a MUCH worse problem. My brakes weren't just making an annoying sound, now they WERE NOT WORKING! I almost pulled out into the road because I couldn't stop my car. After several pumps on the pedal, the brakes worked. From then on, my brakes only worked after pumping the pedal several times. I took the car back to Midas the next day. The manager came out to talk to me and said that it was just a coincidence that my brakes started doing that. That is obviously ridiculous. Brakes worked fine (aside from the noise) every day for months and months, then Midas looks at brakes, then brakes don't work properly. Clearly Midas messed up my brakes. I left (and when they had printed off what my car needed, they actually handed me another lady's receipt for her vehicle's repairs). Then I did a little research and found that Car-X was well-reviewed. I went there, got my brakes fixed for about half what Midas was saying it would cost. read more

They had my car towed there to fix a problem that was not fixed at the other location downtown... they did fix the problem. however, in the process they managed to break my gear shift off the steering column. 410 dollars to fix. and when they fixed the problem that was originally needing fixed, they busted the brake line. 200 dollars. now my car is in worse shape. when i confronted them about it they say they didnt do it????? I needed an oil change and I had a coupon for Midas oil change. I called and scheduled one for two days later, which was much sooner than other shops in the area (Meineke) were able to get me in. I showed up at the appointment time and was given an estimate of 45 minutes to complete the oil change and checks that came with the coupon. He also told me that their current special was cheaper than the coupon, so he started off right by saving me more money than I expected. About 30 minutes later, I see my car pulling up to the waiting area. They were all done and did not try to upswell me to anything else. I was in and out in about 35 minutes and I will return with my wife's car very soon. I also had a brief discussion with the manager about the tire gauge warning, and how poorly designed they all are, no matter the make of vehicle. I highly recommend Midas on Michigan. read more

Had received an estimate from a brake "specialist" in Brownsburg, IN, a place known for brake work. Cost to repair: $843. I knew it was too much. Then I called the folks at Midas, on 86th and Michigan, Indy. The service was prompt and the cost to repair was $314. If you need brakes repaired, there is no other place I'd recommend. Received a coupon in the mail for a free oil change after moving to the area. Called ahead to see if I needed an appointment and was told that service was "first come, first serve." When I arrived and showed my coupon, I was told that I couldn't use it on a Saturday. Thinking I had missed that on the coupon, I asked, "Oh, does it say that?" The manager replied, "No, I'm informing you now." When I asked if he would honor my coupon on a Saturday since it didn't indicate anywhere on the coupon that it was only for M-F, he replied they would only accept it M-F. I will not go back to this Midas location. Terrible service. I tried to schedule an appointment online (a week ahead of time) and no one ever got back to me. I decided to just take my car in that day, since it was a week day, hoping it wouldn't be too busy and they would honor the appointment I tried to make. They were able to fit me in, but that's where the good things stopped. No one called me to let me know my car was ready, so I called them right before close and my car had been done for a while, but someone forgot to call. So I rush over to get my car before they closed, only to find out that they didn't rotate my tires or replace the wiper fluid. Of course, they didn't tell me this. I figured it out when I checked the handiwork afterward. Staff was not friendly or competent. Don't waste your time. read more

Well don't buy a groupon from these guys because apparently you can't get an oil change on Saturdays. I purchased a groupon from them. The groupon does say you need to make an appointment, but guess what no appointments on Saturday. So I drive in and am told they will not change my oil b/c it is a Saturday. I spoke with an individual who I believe is a manager who after our conversation hung up on me. Please don't buy the groupons and don't go to this Midas!!!! Overcharged and didn't fix the problem. Owner of the store called me and acted like he was concerned and then never called me back. I had to call him back and then I got lied to again with him saying "Oh I will call you this evening" and never did. Horrible customer service but I guess if it starts with the owner and he is this way it trickles down to the employees. Will never recommend or goto another Midas.
