If I could give 0 stars I would. I brought my BMW X5 to Midas and Habib told me with full confidence that my engine had failed and the car was basically done. The "mechanic dude" tried turning it with a wrench, couldn't get it to move, and immediately jumped to "engine failure" without actually diagnosing anything. Fast forward -- I take my car to a real BMW specialist and guess what? It wasn't the engine at all. It was simply the wrong battery in the car. That's it. No blown motor, no seized engine -- just the wrong battery. To make matters worse, Habib still charged me $90 for that misdiagnosis. So not only was I given false information, but I had to pay for it too. Because of their lazy guesswork, I spent 5 months stressed out thinking my car was done for. I cannot trust a shop that throws around words like "engine failure" when none of them in there clearly don't know how to work on foreign cars. If you value your car and your peace of mind, do NOT take your vehicle that you care about here! read more

This has been one of my worst auto service experiences. I brought my car in because I had to replace one of my brake lines and I left with a completely different issue. After the service, I started hearing a loud squeaking noise as I was pulling out of the Midas car lot. My boyfriend and I informed the owner about this, and he responded very dismissively, stating, "I didn't do anything; you can tell your car has been in accidents." While I had a small scratch on my front bumper from over a year ago, I had never encountered this squeaky problem until after they completed the brake service. When my boyfriend and I calmly explained our concerns, the owner became very defensive. He advised me to bring the car back the next day, indicating he did not have the time to address the issue at that moment. Upon returning, I continued to experience the same squeaking noise. After examining the vehicle, he presented me with a bill for $2,000. I felt so overwhelmed by this situation, particularly as a young female customer. It left me feeling helpless and taken advantage of. Following this experience, I took my car to a highly-rated Goodyear, where I was informed that many of the items on the list provided by the Midas mechanic were actually in perfectly fine condition. I strongly advise caution if you consider using this mechanic for your car service. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered, not due to the necessity of repairs, but rather because of the unprofessional attitude and approach displayed. read more

Had my brakes and rotors changed here and they have squeaked the entire time. Taken them to 2 different Midas bc under warranty and ask they say is there is dirt or something in between that's making them squeak. Yeah right. Still haven't been fixed read more

Went on a Saturday afternoon for an oil change, air filter change, and state inspection and was in and out! Staff was super friendly and kept me updated on the work getting done on my car. About two years ago my ford explorer '99 had a rough idle during start up. I took it to Midas and they fixed it for 400 bucks and it took ALL day to do it. About 6 months later, it showed signs of the same problem, so I went on YouTube and fixed it in 15 minutes with a 4 dollar bottle of intake cleaner. My fault for not googling earlier, but I always think about this as I drive by this location everyday. Never going back to this place and I suggest you don't either. Another disappointing story - went in for an oil change and the next day oil was all over my driveway. Went back and they fixed it, but the situation could have been worse if I had went to school that day. read more

Went for an oil change and was over charged. They stated itvwas due to a higher oil capacity. The oil capacity they stated was a 1/2 quart more than what was in the owners manual. They then said the owners manual capacity is without oil filter change which is an absolute lie as tge manual clearly stated 5.1 when filter is included. Will not return and advice others to stay away from these scammers. read more

Okay I have not done any tedious maintenance with Midas, so my rating is based on how the manager was willing to help me at the gas station when my car battery died. He had one of the employees drive over to start my car and even suggested that I should buy the battery elsewhere so it will be cheaper. I admire his honesty rather than trying to take money from me by charging a $200+ battery. In the end, he told me that he would charge $10 to install the battery, but it turns out he gave it to the employee. I thought it was worth it since my car is complicated to have the battery installed and the temperature was near 100 degrees. read more

This Midas location has opened under new ownership, and I had the best possible experience from them! Owner Habib ensured that I was fully taken care of. I work down the street, and Habib even offered to shuttle me to and from my work. Habib explained over the phone my quote and estimate without any pressure to do everything. He sent me text message pictures of my tires and let me know which issues were priority. I appreciate his thoroughness and customer service. At the end, I agreed to changing out my brake pads and reconditioning my rotors. When I picked up my car, he replaced all 4 rotors for free and also gave me a $20 discount on changing my oil! I moved here a year and a half ago with no clue as to who a good mechanic would be for my vehicles. I tried a couple different places near where I worked, but I felt like I was not getting honest service and several were trying to charge me for parts I didn't need. Back in Tennessee, I had always taken my car to Midas because I knew the mechanic well and he always did good work, so I figured I'd try them out here. Jerry has been working on my F-150 alot lately as I've had several issues with my fuel injection system and front suspension. He's been very honest and straightforward about his pricing and what work is being done. Two good stories to share. First, when I was having issues with my fuel injection, he replaced the upper air intake manifold gasket (which was the original problem). Two days later an ignition coil went bad. Since I had just spent a decent amount of money to get the gasket changed, Jerry cut me a break on the labor for the ignition coil. Next, I took my truck to a different shop to have them inspect my front suspension. They fed me all sorts of lies about how my truck needed to have 1000's of dollars worth of work done to fix the problems. Jerry took a look at it, located the direct cause of the popping noises I had heard (sway bar links) and had them fixed for right around $100. I passively mentioned to him that I was getting ready to replace the belt on my engine. He saw it in my backseat and replaced it for free. Mechanics like Jerry are tough to find. I would highly recommend him. read more

I was going pay for the repair; they may have installed the exhaust but that's the last time I go to them. Took my car in to a Midas location because the engine was hesitating and had stalled twice. Said they saw nothing wrong with the car after hooking it up to a machine. They did say that the fuel injectors needed to be cleaned and that was all. Then two days later the car started making the same hesitation and the oil light came on. Checked the oil and the dip stick was dry. Added 2 and 1/4 quarts of oil and took back to Midas. This time they said it was the oil pan gasket. That was replaced and we now have spent over $200. Same day started car made loud sound looked under car to find a bracket under the front of the car just dangling. Not very pleased with any service or lack there of service. When we first brought the car in all the fluids should have been checked then maybe you would have discovered that the oil was low. The splatter shield under the car was off. No clue why unless Midas just wanted us to bring it back yet again. Now there is something wrong with our A/C. :( read more

My car was shifting roughly (manual transmission) and I had taken it to another garage. The mechanic at that garage said I need to get my clutch re-built and quoted me around $700 labour, plus the parts, which would come out to more than $1000 easily. I was somewhat confident that the problem can't be my clutch, since I had it re-built a year ago. So I went to Midas to get a second opinion. The manager, Jerry, was helpful and said he wouldn't charge me anything if he/his guys could diagnose the problem in 5 minutes. Sure enough, his transmission guy took a drive in the car and told me the problem can't be the clutch, its most probably a worn out transmission cable bushing or the cable itself is mis-aligned. He didn't charge me anything for the diagnosis and quoted 3 hours labour ($95 /hr) plus parts - which is reasonable. The place seems to be one of the few honest ones and I appreciate that. read more

Came here to get an oil change with my voucher. Turns out voucher couldn't be used without the punch card, but the manager allowed it anyways. The guy who changed my oil had the audacity to come inside and said "AY when did you get your voucher?!?" His tone of voice was rude and disrespectful. Why does it matter when I got it?? He went on and did his thing. I repeatedly asked for MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC, but when I got home (since my car was blocking others to enter and couldn't check at the scene) the paper work said FORMULA SHELL. No, I asked for Mobil 1, I have always put Mobil 1 in my car and like the way it drives. I don't care if Shell is cheaper. If they didn't have my oil, why didn't they bother telling me? I would rather spend money at Walmart for oil and filter and change it myself, but since I had the voucher, I wanted to use it. The oil change guy didn't even bother explaining if anything was wrong or needs to be checked when he was done. All I needed was air filter and tires check when I read the paper. He just sat the papers on the counter and went on to the next car. My total cost for the synthetic oil change was $61.24. I paid $33 for the voucher. Waste. Although I have 2 more visits left, I wouldn't go back. read more
