The team at Midas in Gresham really saved my bacon today (5-3-2024). Last night I filled up my tank at Loves in Troutdale and then my van didn't want to turnover to start. After finnicking with the battery and alarm system for a couple hours in the parking lot , even installing a brand new battery, I finally bit the bullet and ordered a tow to Midas, the nearest shop. The manager Craig greeted me before opening time the following morning and inquired what he could help with. I explained the situation and he said they could do a battery diagnostic. He warned me they had a large queue of vehicles scheduled for the day, but I agreed that I was okay with that. I got a call about an hour later from the manager asking some more diagnostic questions/gathering more information. Around 2:30pm I got a call saying they could fix the issue (starter- fried it the following night from finnicking with the battery so much) and I'd be able to be on the road by the end of the day today. I am relieved and ecstatic with their level of customer service and communication they demonstrated with this experience. The technician Tony was very knowledgeable and thorough with his diagnostic work. The labor and work did cost a pretty penny but the level of professionalism and attention to detail was worth every cent. I'm grateful for this team saving me tons of time and frustration. I had a clean break between my tail pipe and my muffler and went in to get to get a quote on getting it fixed. Instead of them helping me fix my car, they gave me a $1400 quote to replace my entire exhaust system because there was "rust'. My car has spent it's lifetime living and working on the mountain, yeah, there is rust......However, nothing in this system is broken, other than the parts that need welded back together. So, they chose to give me an outrageous quote for work that doesn't need to be done, lost business and gained a bad Yelp review. Maybe they are okay for an oil change, but I wouldn't give this business any of my money on the simple principal of honesty. It goes a long way. I will also add that not one employee was wearing a mask, inside their very small waiting room, and I heard employees coughing in the back office several times. In addition to the place being absolutely disgusting and questionable if ever cleaned, not respecting your customer's enough to wear a mask inside is downright irresponsible as a business. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. If you do, question everything they tell you. BTW, I got my muffler fixed with a simple weld job and I didn't have to pay $1400. Shame on you, Midas. Don't play your customer's as a fool, it's insulting. read more

What a freaking joke this place is! I took my 2012 Honda Civic in last Saturday I left it there almost all day, I had told them my car was making a horrible screeching grinding noise they told me they would evaluate my car and call me to let me know what was wrong...they called me 4 hours later to tell me he found absolutely nothing wrong with my car besides a piece of metal rubbing on something that he bent back for me...I went on to tell this older gentleman thank you soooo much for being honest w me...I drove my car to work the next few days and the noise was awful it's like it had come back with a vengeance I continued to drive my car because the older mechanic told me my car was totally fine..his exact words to my dad and myself was MY BRAKE PADS WERE LIKE BRAND NEW AND MY ROTARS WERE FINE....lol YA RIGHT! Thank god for HONEST-1 AUTO CARE in Milwaukee...the noise got so bad I called the closet place to me and talked to Bob he said to bring my car right in..they diagnosed it for free and immediately knew it was my rear brake pads they were completely shot and any mechanic would of seen that! Honest-1 got me in and out reasonable pricing and soo friendly! I DONT THINK MIDAS EVEN LOOKED AT MY CAR! I wouldn't recommend these people to ANYONE!!! That's terrible! read more

Honest and a bargain. I called to get a quote on new rotors and pads on the front of my lexus LS460. It was pulsing and I'd already made the used car dealer turn them, so I insisted that I needed new rotors without having them checked out. I was sure I had the touring package and I said so, which got me a quote for dual vented special rotors. It was about $100 less than the Les Schwab quote so I dropped it off in the morning. I called before lunch to make sure it would be ready, and they told me it would, and even better, that when they saw my rotors they knew it wasn't the expensive ones, so they returned the spendy rotors and got the right ones (still finished the car by lunch). My bill was over $100 bucks less than the quote, and I never would have known or cared if they just stuck to the price I already agreed to. That's integrity, and a great deal. I'm now a loyal customer and I will go nowhere else for any service they provide (unless it's a warranty thing). read more

This midas location is awesome!!! The timing belt on my car completely snapped and due to a war with my insurance company my car was at midas a little over a week. From the time i dropped my car off, Joseph at the front desk was more helpful than anyone i have ever encountered! He helped me understand complicated auto terms & even fought my case with the insurance company & cared for me & my car as he would his own daughter. Such a sweet guy who actually cares about his job & the people he helps! When my car was finally done I was picked up by grayson, who also provided great service, & i was finally reunited with my baby! Overall my experience with Midas was awesome & they have gained a lifetime customer just based off of the wonderful customer service they provided from the second i walked through the door. read more

I cannot say enough about Joseph and the staff at Midas Gresham. After having my car repaired at the Bend Midas and having them put a faulty part in and then tell me that the "shaking would go away" repeatedly, I was driving to Vancouver BC and knew something was not right. Went to Midas Gresham and found out the part that was installed in Bend was the wrong part. Joseph got my car right in and they honored the warranty even though the work had not been done there, and went above and beyond what they needed to do but I am so thankful that they did. I was on my way again in about 3 hours with my car driving great and no more problems. Highly recommend them to anyone and will probably get future work done here even though I don't live in Gresham. This afternoon I made the right choice and drove to Midas to check on my car's brakes. I was blown away by the service I received! Joseph checked me in immediately and made sure the car was in the bay as soon as possible. It took no longer than 15 min. for them to check my brakes and to report back that they were perfectly fine. The noise I was experiencing from my brakes could of been from a variety of reasons. They had me out in 30 min. total and back on the road. I have taken three different vehicles to Midas over the years. They have handled brakes, alignment, clutch, and a belt tensioner for me. I have always been pleased with their work, but this last job was exceptional. Joseph was excellent at explaining my options on replacing my belt and fixing the belt tensioner. Without his suggestion I likely would have taken a different much more expensive direction to address my issue of a sheared both stuck in the engine block. Thanks to Joseph and the gang! read more

My husband and I both have gone here multiple times and always had a great experience. They are honest and legitimately nice. They actual listen and work with you on what you need fixed. They don't treat me differently as a woman and that has happened at other places I have gone. When I went to get our cars checked out and it turned out to be small things like needing a belt tightened and/or a bolt, they didn't even charged us for it. Recommend these guys for sure read more
