Another driver accidentally backed into my car in a parking lot. The damage looked negligible, but their insurance immediately offered to cover all repairs and recommended Caliber Collision here in Clackamas. The process for me was absolutely frictionless! Caliber got my car checked in, and coordinated with the Enterprise down the street to shuttle me over to pick up a rental car. Caliber was very thorough--because the damage included bumping the tire, they made sure to check and fix the tire alignment, in addition to all the body work. I got text updates when they started and finished working on my car, as well as estimate dashboards so I knew what was being billed to the other driver's insurance. They had my car back to me in less than a week! They'd given it a full wash and interior detailing, which was kind--it's a 13-year-old family car, plenty of dog fur and debris. Mace was so helpful and excellent to work with, and the whole team did a great job. I'm glad I didn't have to foot the bill, but the result and experience were terrific! read more

From the moment I dropped my Jeep off after my accident, I told Caliber Collision there was engine damage. I said it clearly. I said it repeatedly. They flat-out refused to listen. Instead of doing their job and diagnosing the problem, they dismissed me like I didn't know my own vehicle. Weeks went by with the same response: ignore, deflect, delay. Then came the most insulting part -- their "mechanic" (who I was told is part-time) tried to blame the engine damage on me because I had replaced coil packs and spark plugs. That excuse is laughable. Routine maintenance does not magically cause accident-related engine damage, and anyone with basic automotive knowledge knows that. Let's be very clear: * The engine issue started immediately after the accident * I reported it from day one * Caliber Collision ignored it * When they could no longer avoid it, they tried to shift blame onto me This wasn't a mistake -- it was negligence and gaslighting. If you don't fight them every step of the way, they will minimize real issues and protect themselves instead of your vehicle. I would never trust Caliber Collision with another repair. If you care about your car, your time, or being taken seriously -- go somewhere else. read more

While they did good work they also lied to me. Much like the other reviewer said the vehicle was brought to them with a mechanical issue caused by the accident. I asked BEFORE I even brought the vehicle to them if that was something that they could fix as well because I didn't want to be towing it from place to place getting issues fixed. They said it was no problem to fix the mechanical issues. Once they completed the body repairs they told me that their mechanic said I needed a new transmission. The insurance adjuster said he had never seen a transmission failure due to a rear end collision. He said I would have to pay for transmission removal and disassembly and if it was proven that the issue was caused by the collision they would pay for it, otherwise I was on the hook. So Caliber used this as a reason to wash their hands of the mechanical issue and return the vehicle back to me still broken with only the body repairs done. I then had to pay to get the vehicle towed to my mechanic. He looked at it and said all the thumping and noise was due to---get this---a broken motor mount. That cost me a whopping $120.00 to repair, and now all is good. He said whoever looked at it and said it needed a new transmission wasn't qualified to look at a go-cart. Bottom line, Caliber will lie to you in order to get your vehicle in the door, they will perform the repairs that they want in order to get the insurance money, then they will wash their hands of other wreck related issues that they don't want to deal with and return your vehicle to you still broken. read more

Amazing work! Quick and painless! Went in for an insurance claim due to a flying object hitting my car and creating DEEP scratches and needed repainted. I was worried because you never get the same paint as factory but you would have never known it was repainted! 10/10 for this! I will forever return to this location. read more

Brought in a car with damage down the entire driver side, mainly sustained to the front end. Noah with Calliber collision is now claiming that all the damage to the side of the vehicle was there prior to the accident even after providing photos that show the scratch was clearly not there. This is a repair through insurance and Calliber Collision is offering absolutely zero assistance to help push the claim through with Progressive. Terrible customer service. Upon pick up of the vehicle the damages were not repaired entirely, the TPS light was on, and the car was so drained on gas that it wouldn't even turn on. They had to send a technician to the nearby gas station to get gas to even start the vehicle. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. That being said, the gal at the front desk is very nice and this should not reflect onto her at all. Bring your car to ANY other bodyshop. read more

This review is primarily for the front desk lady Charlene, who I spoke to many times. Charlene, if you could be my grandmother, I would love that. You are so friendly and loving. You are so attentive and accommodating. You are so tech savvy for your 60 or 70 odd years of life on this planet. I imagine your first school paper was typed on a typewriter, and that your cursive was honed in a time when people still cared about that kind of thing. I believe Charlene is why this business survives. She is more than a secretary, she handles billing, call-backs, and generally just seems to keep the place afloat. Caliber Collision has the feel of a mom and pop auto body. It answers the question, "what if I, a 29 year old marketing consultant, decided to own my own auto body repair shop." They do not run like a well oiled machine, more like your teenage daughter's Volkswagen Jetta. And you hate to leave a bad review for a place like this, because you can see and feel the livelihood of everyone involved. A bad review would hurt all involved, including sweet Charlene. I believe the reason this place has few reviews is about that people like me feel bad about reviewing it poorly. That's just my two cents. We considered doing this job ourselves. It was the driver's side bumper and we found one on eBay for $100. We could've installed it in a couple of hours and been done with it. We decided to go through insurance to save time. I handed my car over to them on a Friday and did not see it again for the next 3 weeks. Had I been paying for a rental car I would've been angry but I own another car, so I was merely dumbfounded and sort of impressed at the amount of time they kept my car. Instead of relaxing the bumper panel it seems they repaired the actual plastic...and painted it....so that they could charge more for labor? I believe the bill to my insurance came out to $1400. I ended up getting a sweet deal on the repairs because they billed me incorrectly, I wondered when they would figure that out. Sweet Charlene called me a few weeks later and left me a message with kind firmness, please pay the rest of your bill that we didn't realize we didn't bill you, or we will send it to collections. I paid the bill, I resolved not to work with this business again, and proceeded to receive emails, texts, and Yelp reminders to please review this business. Which, for some odd reason, is very low in review rate. Caliber Collision, you are a nice small business within walking distance of my house. You have a wonderful woman working for you, you charged a lot, kept my car too long, and then asked me to review you. I know that you will get better, and that one day you will be the well oiled machine every auto body dreams of being. read more

These people had in my car for over a month made numerous mistakes, couldn't get it correct not once not twice not three times. Maybe it's just the industry maybe it's impossible to find a shop that does quality work and you can trust. read more

My Range Rover was involved in a hit and run smack dab in the middle of the covid pandemic and shortage of labor and parts. Caliber not only repaired the damage and paint perfectly they kept me in the loop as far as progress and parts. The accident damaged the air suspension and adaptive shocks and they even had a Land Rover tech visit the shop and make sure it was all repaired to Land Rover specs. They didn't need to because the computer said all was good but they wanted to make sure. Stuff like this makes a bad situation just a little bit better read more

I made an appointment to bring my vehicle in for repairs and the first available appointment was more than 4 months out. The shop works with Enterprise Rent-A-Car so securing a rental was easy. I was warned about supply chain issues, but the shop was able to secure replacement parts in a timely manner. The shop provided updates via text message, including estimates for repairs, which were appreciated. I was notified my vehicle was ready for pick up and I would be able to drop off the rental car at the shop without having to make a separate stop at Enterprise. After signing paperwork, my vehicle was brought to the front of the shop. I immediately noticed the front grille had not been replaced. The accident caused the pins holding the grille in place at the top to pop off the frame on one side, creating an obvious misalignment around one of the headlights. There was also a decent size chunk that had been broken off the bottom of the grille. The grille is directly next to the front bumper which was replaced. I do not understand how this damage was missed. I left my vehicle at Calliber to finish being fixed. When I was notified a second time that my vehicle was ready, I requested a thorough inspection prior to pick up. I was pleased to see the grille had been replaced, but expressed my concern with the quality of their work. It makes me worried about what they might've missed that I can't see. I was told mistakes happen and that it was just normal human error. I don't excuse this as such and did not appreciate my concerns being dismissed. If a customer brings a vehicle in for repairs, a thorough inspection should be completed. They are supposed to be experts, and such obvious damage shouldn't be missed. read more

They worked on my wife car. Front passenger side. Eight months later the lite became pink when it's turn on. Normally I can change out a head light. But she owns an Acura and it's little more complicated. Beyond my ability. I took her car in, and they install the head light for free. That is service. Shout out to Andrew G. for taking care of me and my wife car. Thank you very much. read more

I drove into Caliber Collision after an accident. I went in with the full intent to get an estimate and determine if I was going to submit a claim to my insurance or not. I met Kyle Burr who came out and there was an immediate comfort level with not only his expertise but his style of communication. He was sincere and thoughtful in his approach and when I asked him, why I should use Caliber, his response was spot on, "because, I will fight for you and your best interest". This sealed the deal for me! I dropped my vehicle off within the next 2 days, and updates began nearly immediately. Kyle had communicated this would be a week long job and his estimate was spot on! The job was completed to my satisfaction and my vehicle was repaired to pre accident condition. I was impressed with Kyle's communication, his eagerness to be an advocate for me and work with me on picking my vehicle up. The cost was accurate from beginning to end and everything was seamless throughout this entire process. I now have a friend in the collision business, but hope I never have to see him at work again.
