This place has always done a great job with the maintenance of my Subaru. I used to go to Valvoline for oil changes but sometimes I don't want to pay the premium price for full synthetic, so I go to Midas instead. read more

I never used this particular Midas but I am familiar with the brand and I usually trust their service and expertise. Thanks for your time and patience. read more

I've been taking my car here for years and it's always been a timely, stress-free experience. I routinely get texts from George to confirm I'm happy with the work they've done and if I need anything from them... I recently had two flat tires pop up the day before Xmas eve. It was 4pm on Friday and George/his team saw me right away and got me back onto the road before the ice storm. For free mind you! Great people, great business read more

Walked in there polite and friendly and the man at the counter wasn't helpful and didn't want my business. Needed axles looked at because I was hearing a clicking sound. Said he would hand to take the car for a drive to try to replicate the noise and didn't want to take the time to diagnose. Told me to go to the dealer. What??? Then also said the person working on cars is going to lunch soon. I'll take my business elsewhere. It's like he didn't want to be there. read more

George is always so responsive and helpful! I don't live in Tigard anymore, but I happily drive out of my way whenever I need my car checked out. He's super trustworthy and never leads me astray on what I do/don't need. read more

I brought my F-150 in for an oil change all the way from Canby. They were great. Quick. Friendly and great price. I'll be back for sure.

My family goes to this Midas Shop. They have always treated us with excellent care and are honest and have a great prices for their services. Also they're extremely knowledgeable about all types of cars and if they can't fix something they have no problem referring to someone who can. Now that's quality service!! read more

If I thought my unluckiest moment this year was when I was rear-ended by an un-insured driver - by far my LUCKIEST moment was when I met Daniel and George at Tigard Midas. When I called at 9:30 on Saturday morning describing the increasingly louder sound my Subaru was making after the collision, Daniel graciously squeezed me in for an afternoon appointment on a busy day when they were booked. Driving over, I was dreading to hear the cost of what the repairs might be, and how I would schedule them, having just started a new job. They put my car on the lift right after I arrived, and I watched as three of them inspected underneath with their flashlights. So just imagine my amazement when five minutes later George (the owner) pushed open the door to the waiting area with a grin on his face, joking about how that was the toughest repair he'd done all day! It was some gasket that had been pushed out of place, which they pushed BACK in place! When I jumped up and offered to pay for his trouble, he wouldn't take a dime. When does THAT happen?? I wondered if business owners like George and Daniel still existed. So I have definitely found my forever Subaru mechanic! Especially after talking to one of their long time customers in the waiting room who said this is just how they are: honest guys doing great work for their customers. They gave a 6o something school teacher a hugely appreciated Christmas Miracle. Thank you George and Dan... I'll be seeing you again soon!! read more

I had an accident close by their shop and brought it in. The control bar and some sway bar links had to be replaced. George worked with my insurance, and the work was done promptly and well. Despite it being the result of an accident, the experience was a positive one. read more

I have been going to George at Midas for quite a few yrs now and have a great relationship. He's always been honest and straight forward with my old 1999 Bug and feel I'm getting a good deal. He's done quite a few different repairs; he just put new rear brakes on. read more

I've had nothing but good experiences with this specific Midas over the years. The staff has always been helpful and pleasant. The work done to my automobiles have always been exemplary as well. I have highly recommended them to my friends and family. read more

WOW where do I even begin. This has got to be the absolute worst customer service I've received in my entire life. I went in to get an oil change and within the first five minutes there were several red flags. First of all, the manager was on the phone with an owner of a 2018 Honda CR-V owner and told her "her back tires were as bald as the counter" and up sold this poor old woman tires for, and I kid you not, $1130!! So I knew right away these people were just going to rip my little old car apart. Fast forward they lift up my vehicle and immediately start looking for problems that weren't there. They took TWEEZERS and started pulling out tiny rocks to tell me I too needed new tires. After several minutes of this charade go by, I open the door and simply say "excuse me, I'm going to stop you right there and say I'm not paying for anything else today on my ford. I would just like my oil changed that I came in for." Then the entire crew gathered around to laugh and make me feel stupid for being so careless with my high mileage beater car. I said after "that I heard them rip off that old woman and I don't appreciate people that up sell everything" the manager gave up and said ok. BUT the problem was this manager in training SARAH. SARAH has zero social cues and zero backbone as a woman and has SHOULD IN NO WAY be behind the counter. She comes up to me and says "I don't appreciate how you were speaking to my boss" so I respond with "I asked for my oil to be changed and that's it" she continues to belittle and berate me so I finally give up and tell them to immediately take my car down and that I'm leaving. So they put the oil back in my car that they had just drained. Sarah was laughing so menacingly for absolutely no reason that I just stared recording her for her to just shut up. I just filed a complaint and have my complaint number and will be waiting for a call from a higher corporate officer. I will do everything in my power to make sure Sarah doesn't become customer service manager as she clearly doesn't believe the customer is ever right and takes things way to personally. She should be FIRED. Take your business elsewhere unless you enjoy people talking down to you and maybe you're not a woman or gay or literally anything. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I had some pretty good service here. I couple of minor hiccups with parts but all in all an ok place to deal with. The owner, George, was happy to help me. When I stopped in there were no customers there and they employees were doing some work on their own projects in between times. The owner said he had the parts in stock and that I could have the vehicle repaired while I wait. He seemed genuinely happy to help. He had his staff proceed to take off the used parts and begin the install of the new parts. It was after they had pulled off all the old parts that George discovered the part number was the wrong one and that he did not have the parts in stock. He quickly called around but determined that he could not get the parts until tomorrow morning and that the new part was $100 more. He had the staff put the old parts back on and said he would split the difference with me on the expense of the new part. This was a good solution to a bad situation and I had to take time off work to go back there the next day but I would give them a try again. read more

Brought in my Jeep for a hose replacement. They were fast and reasonably priced. They contacted me a few days after to make sure everything was still running as it should. I've never had a mechanic check in with me about my car after the repairs. Great job guys! Incredible customer service. I'll definitely be bringing my Jeep back the next time I need repairs. read more

My vehicle had a potentially dangerous fluid-leak-on-brake issue that I was unaware of and happened from previous service at a different repair company, and the guys at this Midas discovered it, showed it to me, and then repaired it at a very fair price. George (at the desk) was also very helpful with other advice, repairs, and accommodating with scheduling; I trust and recommend him, along with the mechanics in the shop. read more

You shouldn't only get satisfactory service because you came in on a good day. It's just embarrassing that grown employees act this way and don't get any repercussions. A complaint I made several days ago, I saw the exact complaint here that was made 6 years ago (the one about Scott). It makes me feel like they don't really do anything and customer service isn't a thing they take seriously. Enjoy being miserable I guess. read more

Really styrange how most of the reviews have a great merchanic named "GEORGE " but in different states ?

During such hard and strange times it's hard to trust businesses and hope all goes well. I Truly felt taken care of during my whole experience ( which was my first time trying Midas). George was awesome and seems to really care about the business he does and his customers. Will continue to get my break service here and maybe other auto needs as well! read more

George has been my go to mechanic for a few years now. He is the most reliable, honest mechanic I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I trust him impeccable for he always keeps my vehicles running safely without doing any unnecessary work. I used to think Midas only did mufflers but George's shop fixes nearly an car issue I have encountered. Sometimes, 5 stars just doesn't say enough!!! read more

George has helped us on numerous occasions now with both minor and major things. In moments where other shops said we would need a complete brake replacement, George took a look after removing the tires and found that our brakes were basically already new. He never performs unnecessary work and always ensures you get charged a fair price for everything. I will be coming back here for life! read more

We've trusted George Weivoda and his team for years with our cars. You can count on him to tell you what your car does and doesn't need to keep it running smoothly. I cannot say enough about these guys! I brought my car in after being told by the dealer that it needed brakes. The price I was quoted by the dealer was, of course, ridiculously expensive so I brought it here. And low and behold it did NOT need brakes!!!!! And instead of changing my brakes and collecting the fee, George called me and said that my brakes were fine. Super stand up kind and of guy and so friendly. I will bring both of our cars here for everything that I can from here on out!!! Thanks a bunch read more

Over priced quote, $578 (hole in flex pipe). Work needed was performed by another more reputable shop for $120.50. Recommend A-1 Muffler, Barbur Blvd., Portland, OR For those of you that posted positive reviews apparently don't mind being grossly over charged. You should check the prices for the services you received with other shops. You just might be unpleasantly surprised how much you were over charged. read more

I meant to review this place weeks ago. I went in with brake issues, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I used to frequent the Midas in Fresno, CA, but when I moved up to Portland, I wasn't sure where I should go. I'm so glad I stayed loyal to Midas and that I found THIS Midas. Ryan, the manager, who is certified out the wazoo, really listened as I explained what I thought was wrong with my car. If you are a woman, you know this is a rare and special experience at an auto service shop. On top of that, he was friendly and sincere. I felt welcome and comfortable as I sipped a cup of their delicious, free coffee and completed some grading (I'm a teacher). While I sat there, I was able to see them working on my car, and I could chat with the friendly staff, who gave me constant updates. When I needed a break from grading, I could page through the awesome magazines on the coffee table. And, I don't have kids, but I noticed the staff have supplied toys and coloring books for families. They even told me they have plans to put in a playground. Now that's good customer service. On top of all that, they gave me a steal-of-a-deal. Will I be going back? Heck yes; if my car so much as blinks at me the wrong way, I'm going to MY Midas to have my honest mechanics give her a check-up. I suggest you do the same. read more

Will be a permanent customer for life! George did a great job with repairing our cracked manifold on our 2012 Chevy Malibu. We found George to be very knowledgeable, most efficient, trustworthy, and reasonably priced. When we realized something was wrong with our car, we did not have a clue as to where to go for help. Having driven by George's business for years, we decided to take a chance and am so grateful we did! read more

Well. The staff was very friendly, that's for sure. However, they quoted us 900 bucks to find out if my car was an interference engine or not. Saying it was a 99 percent chance that it was ans that if it was we would need to replace the whole engine. Now we turned that down and went online to do our research. Our car is non interference. All that had to be done was look online. Midas truly is the McDonald's of auto shops. Save your money, do your own research, and know your facts. Taking your money is far more important than doing a good job to these guys. read more

I've been going to Midas for quite some time now and I can say I haven't been disappointed!! I recently had my brakes done and they did an awesome job! I went to Les Schwab in King City to get my tires balanced and they said I needed the rear brakes done and quoted me 3 times the amount of dollars of what Midas did it for! I highly recommend Midas on Pacific Hwy. if you want excellent customer service, fair pricing and good work ethics!! read more

Recently brought my Jeep in for oil change. George questioned why my oil indicator didn't register a message. Turns out my car only needs an oil change every 10k not 5k. They still topped off my fluids at no charge. Came back today because I smelled coolant. George pulled my car for an inspection and found no issues. He proceeded to educate me on how the cooling system is pressurized. This type of integrity is hard to find and I commend George and team for standing by their values... You have created a loyal customer for life! read more

This place is a joke had my vehicle inspected there they said my radiator fluid was blk with metal flakes in it then told me I need a new engine and it would be 9grand are you kidding me I would just buy another car went to mieneke which is right up the street from them they told me my cooling system is holding pressure I just needed a couple hoses replaced and a fluid flush glad I got a second opinion almost got rid of my car they told my wife a tune up on her blazer was 450 mieneke told her 150 neer going to Midas again RIPOFFS!!! read more

I'm updating after having my vehicle actually fixed by a real mechanic. The recommendations made by Midas would not have made my car safe, quiet or drivable. They recommended 2 service totaling $400 alone that were completely unnecessary and they mis-diagnosed the cause of my cars creaking entirely. Meanwhile, they missed an oil leak, and the real cause of the creaking, as well as my need for a new water pump and timing belt. After having all of the repairs made my car is in excellent condition, driving smooth and quietly. read more

The owner George was incredible! I went in to have them see why my check engine light was on. George was very fair and gave me a good price and quick service! He was not pushy at all and made sure my car was ready to go! I will definitely be going back! read more

Honestly don't know much about cars, but George has always been transparent with me and upfront. He seems to try his best to get me what I need that still fits my budget, since my financial situation has been pretty shaky for over a year now. He also does his best to work me in when I've had weird surprise car moments over the past few years. I literally go out of my way to bring my car to this location, rather than a Midas closer to me, or another shop. read more

Scott has a terrible attitude. I've always loved Midas but ever since I've moved to Oregon and had a bad experience with him and the way he treats PAYING customers, I'll never, ever recommend Midas to anyone ever again. read more

I called and spoke with George who shared with me the causes for why my check engine light is on. I scheduled an appointment and arranged for Enterprise to pick me up. George kept me apprised of my car's progress and as promised let me know my car was ready for the price quoted. The bonus was that they actually took my car to DEQ for me. I was very impressed. George also shared with me some insight on additional services he recommended. This was $500 well spent. read more

Girlfriend and I walked in one day for an estimated quote. There were two guys that were there. We asked a simple question and without hesitation "we're about to close." Then they said they could give us an estimate on spark plugs. After that, they tried to upsell a tune up. I said I think the spark plugs are the only thing wrong with it, we just wanted to make sure. The guy goes "well, you should do this. Otherwise you'll be wasting money" I said again, I think we're ok, just a quote on checking spark plugs. The guys become rude and give us a ridiculous price, and we walked out. If you're having a bad day or you hate your job, don't take it out on us. read more

I recently moved to Portland. Since I had such a good experience at the Midas I used in my old town I decided to give this Midas near my new house a try. I definitely wish I had chosen somewhere else. I had a coupon for an oil change and a free tire rotation. When I checked in and handed the coupon to the manager at the counter he asked if I wanted the tire rotation as well, I said yes. They start working on my car and the manager comes back in and says that my tires are worn and they don't rotate tires that are worn because there is no point. I say that isn't there still a point because it changes which areas are being worn? He just repeats that they don't rotate tires that are badly worn, but they have some new tires in stock that he could sell me. He gives me the price and I say I'll hold off for now, but get them changed soon. After completing the oil change (hopefully), the manager gets the keys from the mechanic, comes in and tells me it will be 19.95. I pay, then he sets the keys on the counter. I wait for him to go over the little report the mechanic gave him that is sitting on the lower counter next to the manager. He notices I'm waiting then says that the keys are there on the counter and I'm all set. I ask about the report, he tells me it is just the stuff that we went over. We only went over a side light that was out and the tires, but I can see that there are other notes on the report sitting next to him. I can see a note about a hose and ask him about it, he tells me what it is. I can see another note about a battery and ask him about it, he tells me what it is. I can see a third note and ask him about that. Finally he takes the report and sets it on the higher counter in front of me and I ask him about a couple more things. I then take the report and leave. I could not believe that he would not rotate my tires, which was supposed to be included in the coupon. I also could not believe that he was going to let me leave without going over the inspection report, or even giving the report to me. They didn't even put a little sticker on the inside of my car to remind me when I need another change. Just horrible service all around. I certainly will not be going back. I no longer trust the Midas touch. read more

By chance I took my car to this Midas shop. I was positively impressed enough to return again when I had different car troubles. I've now taken 5 different vehicles there for a wide range of mechanical services, plus several complex and baffling electronics and computer issues. This shop addressed them all! Their degree of honesty is also worth mentioning. They will never perform an operation or service or install a part until they are reasonably certain that it is what's needed. This is where we go for any and all car services, not just mufflers. Highly recommended. They even have ok coffee! read more
