Here's the backstory: I was driving home from work when my TPMS warning popped up saying my rear passenger tire was low. I pulled into a gas station to air it up, but it was losing pressure fast and wouldn't hold air. Since I drive an EV and don't have a spare tire, I knew I was in trouble if I didn't get it fixed immediately. Luckily, I remembered there was a Discount Tire just a few miles away. I was racing the clock because they close at 6 pm, but I made it there with about five minutes to spare. The moment I pulled in, a young gentleman named Ingmar saw the worried look on my face and immediately reassured me that they'd take care of me and get me in and out quickly. He grabbed a flashlight, checked the tire, confirmed it wasn't holding air, and got straight to work. What impressed me most was how far he went to help -- even though I wasn't in a bay and they were about to close. Ingmar looped in his manager, brought out a jack, jacked up my car right there at the air check station, removed the tire, did the dunk test, and found the culprit: a tiny staple. He patched the tire on the spot, inspected my other tires, and gave me helpful recommendations without any pressure. I was honestly blown away. He dropped what he was doing to help a stressed-out customer at closing time, and he did it with professionalism and kindness. I made sure to shake his hand, thank him, and get his name. This was hands-down some of the best service I've ever received at a tire shop. Because of Ingmar and the team here, I'll absolutely be back for my next set of tires -- and I'll be recommending this location to friends and family without hesitation. If you want a place that treats you like a priority and genuinely has your back, this is it.

But when I got in, both of the men at the desk were incredibly friendly and both of them very attentive to ALL of the customers that came in. When I got done, I actually got the technician's report via email prior to the front desk calling me up to check out. And the email showed that I needed 2 tires ASAP and the other two weren't too far behind. Which I found interesting since I had JUST had a flat repair at Les Schwab and they didn't recommend new tires. Which if you're from the PNW, you know they ALWAYS recommend you get new tires. Firestone actually provided photos with my service email receipt and showed the tread which did make me question, but I had NO desire or money to spend on new tires. However fate would decide otherwise for me. Blew a tire on I5 two days before Thanksgiving and had to replace them all!!! Still great value as my alignment package has paid for itself to keep my tires aligned well!

It started when the manager at our Lake Oswego Firestone store sold us some excellent all-weather tires at a great price for our Suburban. He also sold us the Firestone Lifetime Alignment Warranty ... which has been outstanding ... and we still use it today. All of our vehicles now have premium Firestone tires and Firestone's Lifetime Alignment Warranty as well as having routine maintenance (oil changes, brake service, etc.) performed at Firestone. When the Lake Oswego Firestone store closed, we promptly became customers at the Tigard Firestone store. Greg, the store manager, and Billy, the assistant manager, each provide the personal touch and have been extremely helpful in providing us a consistent level of excellent/timely service. We trust that Firestone will take good care of our vehicles. Last weekend, when we took the Suburban on a day trip to the beach, we discovered a menacing screw in our tire (yikes!). We immediately called Greg, he got us right in, and he promptly resolved the issue. Yes, a big plus, the Tigard Firestone store is open Saturday and Sunday! Thanks in large part to Tigard Firestone's many years of reliable service, our Lexus and our Suburban have each rolled over on 200,000 miles. As another reviewer mentioned, Tigard Firestone offers free coffee, water, chargers, and a TV while you wait for your repairs. We give two thumbs up to the Tigard Firestone store. We are lifetime customers and we proudly recommend them to our friends and family. They only had used tires, which I learned about only after he had already installed it and after I asked. I paid $55, fine, I can live with that. After I get home, which is a literal 1 minute drive away, I see the tire is 7 years old and has two screws in it. Even without the screws, a used tire should never be that old. So, I call him up and tell him about the screws. He just tells me he checks his tires, accusing me of damaging the tire. I took my car to discount tire store and get it replaced with a new tire (they agree I was ripped off, bad). I now go to return the bad tire for a refund. He refuses to refund the whole amount and only gives me $25 back, again, accusing me of causing the damage. Incredible. Never going back there again. I never write reviews. If he had just refunded my money in full I wouldn't have cared to take the time to write this review. This is a first. I returned several times and each time was assured that the battery was fine and at 90% capacity. Until I took it to a shop that specialized in automobile electonics I thought the car had parasitic energy drain and was ready to cut my losses and trade it in. It turned out that a a different type of battery was indicated for a vehicle loaded with all manner of sensors and electronics. Upon having the AGM type battery installed I've had no need to jump start the vehicle. Yesterday I returned to Les Schwab and the manager, Ken, refunded the cost of the original battery. I've had other expereinces with this store that were very good so i'd suggest that that if you have a late model car loaded with electronics make sure that the correct battery is installed.

After reviewing the invoice, I felt overcharged for both labor and parts. Martin said the car would take four days, but I got it back in two. It felt rushed, and within three days it started making weird air noises when I drove or turned it off. I had to bring it back and go a week without a car just for Martin to fix the noise. Then two months later, my car had more problems. Martin told me the hoses needed to be replaced and wanted $450. I refused, checked it myself, and replaced the hose for only $10 in a couple of minutes. I feel like Martin took advantage of me and my situation. After spending nearly $1,900 at his shop, he couldn't take two minutes to fix a simple $10 part. He wasted my time, didn't make me a priority, and was rude with unnecessary comments.
