Holy crapola. I have to say I've NEVER had such good service at a Firestone. I went in for an alignment and was told it would take a certain amount of time, which I did NOT believe. But when I got in, both of the men at the desk were incredibly friendly and both of them very attentive to ALL of the customers that came in. When I got done, I actually got the technician's report via email prior to the front desk calling me up to check out. And the email showed that I needed 2 tires ASAP and the other two weren't too far behind. Which I found interesting since I had JUST had a flat repair at Les Schwab and they didn't recommend new tires. Which if you're from the PNW, you know they ALWAYS recommend you get new tires. Firestone actually provided photos with my service email receipt and showed the tread which did make me question, but I had NO desire or money to spend on new tires. However fate would decide otherwise for me. Blew a tire on I5 two days before Thanksgiving and had to replace them all!!! Still great value as my alignment package has paid for itself to keep my tires aligned well! read more

Outstanding Firestone Products and Service! Our family has been taking our cars and SUVs to Firestone for tires and service for over 20 years. It started when the manager at our Lake Oswego Firestone store sold us some excellent all-weather tires at a great price for our Suburban. He also sold us the Firestone Lifetime Alignment Warranty ... which has been outstanding ... and we still use it today. All of our vehicles now have premium Firestone tires and Firestone's Lifetime Alignment Warranty as well as having routine maintenance (oil changes, brake service, etc.) performed at Firestone. When the Lake Oswego Firestone store closed, we promptly became customers at the Tigard Firestone store. Greg, the store manager, and Billy, the assistant manager, each provide the personal touch and have been extremely helpful in providing us a consistent level of excellent/timely service. We trust that Firestone will take good care of our vehicles. Last weekend, when we took the Suburban on a day trip to the beach, we discovered a menacing screw in our tire (yikes!). We immediately called Greg, he got us right in, and he promptly resolved the issue. Yes, a big plus, the Tigard Firestone store is open Saturday and Sunday! Thanks in large part to Tigard Firestone's many years of reliable service, our Lexus and our Suburban have each rolled over on 200,000 miles. As another reviewer mentioned, Tigard Firestone offers free coffee, water, chargers, and a TV while you wait for your repairs. We give two thumbs up to the Tigard Firestone store. We are lifetime customers and we proudly recommend them to our friends and family. I dont usually leave reviews but this time I feel it necessary. I had a simple slow leak on my passenger front tire and took initially took it to Les Schwab where they informed me that it wasn't my tire, it was my wheel that was cracked on the inside and feeling the immediate sales pitch coming I got my keys and went home to inspect it myself. I found nothing! Obviously, something wasn't right, I would know if I had a cracked rim. Anyways, I thought a third opinion was in order so I took to Firestone and sure enough the wheel had no crack and with a little lube around the bead of the tire I was back on the road in less then 45 minutes! went here for 2 things (my broken AC and a tire change) they tried to get me to replace my battery bc "it is a dud and you're going to end up stranded" (which i had replaced by AAA literally a week ago) and i said no to that. they kept calling and adding things on "as they found them". anyway i called AAA when i got home with my car and had them test the battery and they tested it and GUESS WHAT!!!! It was 100% working and operational, the battery was 100% okay and charged. So i feel scammed bc they also got me to align my wheels and i cannot trust i actually needed that done, bc they saw a femme person (me) walk in a decided to BE SCAMMERS and try and take advantage. I had an unrepairable flat on my drive home from Washington to Southern Oregon, on a Sunday afternoon. They were able to get me a new tire at a very reasonable price and install it quickly and get me back on the road. I got the car towed to their shop after confirming with them that i have got a flat tire and they will be able to service them. The guy (Don't remember his name now- i wish i did so that i could make a formal complaint. He is probably the manager) kept saying that these tires are special tires and I won't find them anywhere but the dealership. They are actually regular 22 inch tires. So, i asked him to put the spare tire on. I didn't have the lug nuts for the spare and i bought them from the autozone shop. He without even looking at them said that they won't fit. But they did fit when i had to get the car towed again to the dealership. I was there at the shop for atleast 5 hours in cold to witness this shitty service. My family has been generational customers because of the awesome service we get from Greg and his team. My wife recently found a screw in her tire, likely from all the construction work going on through Hall Blvd and Scholls Ferry Rd. I replaced her tire with the spare in our driveway, and she took her car to Firestone the next morning. Greg and his crew took her without an appointment, patched up the damaged tire and put it back on the car, and re-attached the spare to the underside of the car. They rotated her tires and checked all fluid levels at no charge before putting her back on the road. I always stop by for anything from windshield wiper replacements to winter tires or oil service. Zero stars for this location! They never performed the inspection to begin with and was charged the inspection fee. They changed the spark plugs and all my car needed was an oil change. This was during my stay in Oregon, I did not enjoy it since my car had the engine light on miles after I had just taken it to Firestone. I went to a Firestone near home in California just find out that all my car needed was an oil change. I made a complaint and I never got a call back. read more

My partner and I were down in Hillsboro for a wedding, and we are from Seattle. We got to our car (2003 Suburu Legacy) Sunday morning at the hotel to head back to Seattle, and the car wouldn't start. We called AAA, and it definitely wasn't the battery. We called this Firestone in Tigard asking if there was any way to accommodate us today and check out what the issue was with our car, and they immediately said 'yes they can fit us in today'. We knew they might not be able to fix it today, but they could at least figure out the issue. Got a tow truck, and finally we're at Firestone. Ben the front desk rep was super nice! Was realistic that they might not fix it today, and the technician Derick chimed in saying it would be an hour or so before he could diagnose. In an hour they called, it was the fuel pump. Knowing that we had spent the last 3 hours to just get our car there, and that we needed to head back to Seattle tonight, and the fact that they were closing in 2 hours, we said yes to fixing it. We got a call at 5:30 pm, and Derick stayed past his shift to help us out and finish the job. He saved us the time In having to pay a lot of money to tow our car back to Seattle, and saved us from having to book a hotel room tonight. Derick is our hero! We are so grateful!! I will never again buy a tire from Firestone. The only reason I went there was because my regular tire outlet was closed on Sunday. In less than two months, I experienced a flat tire. I went in to get it fixed, and they prorated it, and I had to pay the difference in getting the tire replaced. If you want good customer service, don't go here. I had another experience a few years ago with another Firestone dealer. I was told the water pump needed replacing. I purchased this, and it wasn't even the problem. read more

I highly recommend this business. First of all they're open on Sundays and that is when I needed help. I had a tire with very low pressure in it and they put air in it. Unfortunately, it was unable to be fixed, but they ordered me tires and I came in the next day. Really appreciated the service at the Tigard Firestone today. I went in thinking I needed new brakes, and the guys took a look and gave me the actual measurements, which showed I had a fair amount of life left. Since I was able to wait on the brakes, I bought a full set of tires, which I knew I needed but thought I'd have to wait for. They were totally cool about everything and didn't pressure me at all. Seriously, it was all so pleasant that I actually bought a warranty on the tires (again, no pressure) because I felt like the rep was being realistic about what it covered. I never buy a warranty on anything. I'll be honest--I expected to be overcharged and pushed on upsells, and I was planning to accept that because I just opened a Firestone card and wanted to use credit rather than paying what I assumed would be a better price at a smaller shop. In reality, I paid a totally reasonable amount for only the work my car actually needed, and it might seem like a small thing to some people, but when you're a bit of a pushover like me, it's really refreshing not to have that taken advantage of. I'm used to being told by various other chains that my car is practically going to explode if I leave the property without some super-expensive work I had no idea I needed, and I always dread going to mechanics because I know I'm going to end up spending twice what I expected doing whatever they tell me to do because I don't trust myself to know when not to. So for me, and I know I'm not totally alone here, it's really really nice to leave a shop and not wonder if I legitimately needed the long list of things I got bullied into adding. I'll definitely be going back to this Firestone store in a few months when I do need those brakes. read more

WOW! Came in for an AC diagnostic. After spending $40 for the diagnosis, Greg (the manager) called and said the system needed to be flushed,have more work done, and have Freon added - FOR $130 MORE!!! Two problems - no added work was done than a simple drain of the system and adding Freon (false impression was given that more work was being done) The second problem is that I had already purchased Freon, which the container said if the gauge does not work then go to a professional to verify the system is okay. The $40 should have determined that. I told Greg that if it is just that, then use the can or let me fill the system (he clearly missed that part of the conversation). His customer service FAIL and my low rating is because he didn't tell me that the fix to the AC after spending the $40 was simply to better do, or try again to do, the Freon that I had purchased. Instead he left us with the impression that there was more work involved in flushing the system and doing all this to justify a fee that was triple the DIY solution. I feel like he screwed me for his shop billings when it would have been better to let us know that the alternative SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OF THE CAR was what was needed. Very poor consideration for me as the customer and an "I don't care attitude" when I called. Very not happy. Be aware that Firestone seems focused on their billings and NOT what is best for you as a consumer - watch their "recommendations" closely or go somewhere where they care about your hard earned money. read more

It has been a while since I visited this Firestone, but as with previous visits, I was not disappointed at all. It was great seeing one of the managers, Greg once again. As always, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. Knowing that I had an unexpected turn of events (leaking radiator fluid in my car's engine), he gave me a reasonable expectation as to when the car would be ready. I was thinking after Easter weekend, but he and his crew were able to fix the problem that same day. Thanks again Greg and the Tigard Firestone crew for the great service! Nice manager but this service is how I've experienced multiple Firestones. Slow. Slow as death. Today I've been sitting here for almost 90 minutes. I was told about and hour. It doesn't appear to be busy....but I'm still here. 1 hour, 45 minutes. We're at two hours, folks, and one tire is back on the vehicle. One of four. I've finally left. But because of the brand I had, he recommended I stick to the same brand for safety reasons - even though he didn't carry that brand. Much respect to this guy. I've used Firestone since 1975. They are extremely busy all the time. Always best to make an appointment. I had a slow leak. Called late Sunday and they were way too busy and asked if I could come in Monday morning. Made and appointment for 9am. When I got there, they immediately took into a bay. I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half. So I walked the adjoining strip mall and came back in 45 minutes. My car was outside and ready. Love it when it works that way. This review is long belated but perhaps significant for fellow Corvette owners. Upon calling these folks late in the afternoon one day I appraised them that I was observing my tire pressure dropping on the front left tire of our C6 Corvette. They said no problem get it to us and we'll take a look. Since it WAS late in the day (post 4PM) I'm giving them an extra star. It is the only one they earned as when I got there I asked the service writer as to their relative expertise in performing tire services on the C6 Corvette and to the fact that the jacking "pucks" were in the car. He told me that the technicians were adequately trained and so I put it out of my mind. They had the car back to me and me on my way in good time which seemed well until I got home and saw the passenger side of my car where they had pulled it onto a regular lift. Upon calling them the next day the Manager there said there was no way that "they could have caused that damage" which I found really strange as the shop is less than two miles of suburban road from my house with nothing in the path that could have caused this much damage as the plastic underbody tray was actually pulled away from the body panel. Naturally I escalated this to the regional manager for Bridgestone/Firestone and upon hearing his double worded claptrap and sending him pics was politely declined an answer at all as to what they would do. So this has been a couple years back now and since I took such a pounding for that damage at resale I thought I'd let fellow Yelpers know that the damage that is possible from this shop is potentially much worse than the convenience of it's proximity. Oh, and by the way I own four cars, an HD truck and seven motorcycles and NONE of them have Bridgestone/Firestone tires as a result of this incident. I will now go to great lengths to avoid using any of their products at all due to the exceptionally rude treatment I was afforded by one chance repair job in an emergency. The biggest scammers! If I could give zero stars I would. I arrived for my scheduled appointment for a tire replacement. (It should be noted, I have a brand new car with only 6K miles. I had a tire blow out on the freeway and knew the tire likely needed to be replaced). Alex'ey started giving me the runaround almost immediately. I have a fleet vehicle and all purchases need to be approved over a certain dollar amount. Before Alex'ey even inspected my tire he told me that all 4 tires would need to be replaced. He called Dodge/Jeep dealership and gave them no information about mileage or condition and got the answer he was hoping for, which was that when one tire had to be replaced all had to be. He then called for purchase approval before any Inspection. I told him this was a complete scam and rip off. He said that he could only replace all four tires and wouldn't replace just one. I told him this was a scam and left. I then called Les Schwab and immediately got great customer service. I drove my car to the LO location and was helped. The tech took tire measurements of the three tires and offered to order a new tire and have it shaved down to match the tire tread on the other three, saving loads of money. The new tire was ordered in no time and it turns out the tire doesn't even need to be shaved because the tread matches up with so little miles on the car. Save yourself a headache and a lot of money. This place is not reputable. It's like taking it to a Russian chop shop. read more

Took my car in for a coolant flush, thermostat replacement and check engine light check. Right off I didn't get a real friendly vibe over the phone, but having just completed an arduous trip out to Yellowstone and back I decided service was imperative. They quoted me $90 by phone for the flush, which checking the RepairPal app was right in line for the Portland area. Once I got in, Jim the manager told me I needed a full tech diagnostic to determine the code issue and quoted me $100. I was a bit shocked as I already knew the code and issue. Right off there was something sketchy and untrustworthy seeming about Jim (...but it all turned out well). Thinking it over and thinking I might be getting duped, I called my home Firestone who confirmed the diagnostic need pre-flush and quoted me just $55. Jim readily price matched it as "this was their required policy". I'm glad I called around and used RepairPal to check prices and inform myself so I was sure of the service. The staff didn't exactly set me at ease, and I think this was a friendliness/people skills problem. The repairs were done extremely fast, especially for a Friday. A replacement part was brought in super quick due to the many nearby auto parts stores. Having asked prior for my replaced parts back (always do this) Jim, myself and a shop tech talked about the replaced thermostat part and they both seemed knowledgeable and offered helpful suggestions and explanations. All went well, but Firestone needs to put people on the front desk with the best interpersonal social skills, not just experience or automotive knowledge. TL;DR Seemed sketchy and sort of unfriendly but everything was done very quickly and at reasonable prices. Repair service was great. One star off for the usual poor interpersonal skills/friendliness. read more

Horrible. Believe the hype. They find any reason to not balance your tires after you pay 125.00 plus for lifetime tire balancing. Claimed wear and tear. But I could buy new tires, a new battery, and new air filter. Tires only had nominal wear and tear. Battery is perfect. Changed air filter a month prior. DONT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. THANK YOU LES SCHWAAB!!! There are other reviews and people claiming the exact same problem. I will tell everyone to never do business with Firestone for the rest of my life. They will take your money. And then some. Ps while waiting in the lobby I overheard an employee having to explain to a potential transfer position why he got in trouble for being honest with customers at his previous post since they didn't need the work done and why he butted heads with management and had changed to that current location.....terrible business. read more

I needed brakes desperately, I went here where they did a whole inspection on my car. Told me I needed brakes, gaskets and kellapers and that it will be over 800 dollars. I left and went to my dealership to see a estimate marking sure I wasn't growing my money away. Apparently all I needed was brakes and that's it. I always skeptical to go to firestone for my car needs, but it changed my mind today. I was having a clicking sound with my front right suspension after hit a huge pothole and get it checked. I was calling Greg to make an appointment and they are available right away. Not only that, Greg offered me an inspection and it turns out there is nothing wrong except the tires almost bald. He gave me an advice to go for RE970 AS or RE97AS rather than Kumhos and others. At the end of transaction, Javier was taking care of me and my car during the checkout process.
