This shop is good. I went in to get a front wheel bearing replaced on an older Hyundai. They did an inspection of the car and came back with a full report. The report included photos of all the problems, including three burnt out light bulbs, and even a photo of my oil dip stick. The job was completed promptly, and the cost was fair. I highly recommend. read more

Took our 2016 Acura RDX to Henderson Auto Shop for 72k mile service and overall inspection. Wonderful experience. They took pics thru out the car, documented & prioritized need/no need for repair. Transparent and very fair pricing. We highly recommend Henderson Auto Shop to anyone looking for honest, professional car maintenance & repair. M&DT read more

My family and I have been coming to Brian for over 15 years. Nothing but great service and communication. I trust my car is being taken care of any time it's at Henderson. read more

The folks at Henderson Auto are always wonderful to work with. As a woman who deals with all of our cars in the household, I really appreciate their team being honest and upfront about everything. I never feel they're jerking me around or taking advantage of me. They tell me exactly what their recommendations are, with a clear price, and don't ever push for me to get all the work done. I recently brought a new to me car in to have them do a top to bottom inspection and address any issues they found. The car was finished fast than estimated and they provided a comprehensive report with all of their findings along with photos. This is my second car I've trusted in their hands and will be back for my regular maintenance. read more

The team at Henderson Auto went above & beyond & far exceeded our expectations!! The week of 9/6 we left our home in SoCal on a 4 week road trip...in NoCal the battery light came on and we limped into a Ford dealership where they diagnosed a bad battery and weak alternator....they replaced the battery & sent us on our way....in Beaverton we again went completely dead, called AAA which took us to a nearby Ford dealer where we were told it would be 9/19 before they could look at our F-150.... I called another dealer and they said it would be 9/30 before they could check it....a friend recommended we try Henderson as did the tow truck driver...Henderson said it may be the 13th before they could check the truck...took it to Henderson on the 8th, they did a 10 point inspection on the 9th, repaired everything that needed fixed including a new alternator (urgent), headlight, license plate light (non-urgent) and had the truck ready for a touch free pickup on that afternoon!! A gigantic thank you to Brian, Katie & their team for keeping our trip on schedule!! read more

Henderson Auto - Auto Repair Near Me - Tigard, Oregon

Katie and Brian were excellent. Great customer service, informative, professional, and took the time to explain the issues going on with my vehicle. Also, during this Covid time, they have a zero contact process. Drop off your car and keys, they perform their service, sanitize car and keys, you pay over phone, and drive off in your vehicle. They even include a health check report for your car detailing the items they serviced or checked. I will be taking my vehicles back here again for servicing. read more

Henderson Auto - Clean keys! - Auto Repair Near Me - Tigard, Oregon

Brought my Nissan X-Terra in for a diagnosis for a 4x4 system malfunction and a general overview inspection. They were unable to to diagnose the 4x4 system issue as it requires a Nissan Scanner, thus needing a Dealer to look at it. They conducted a whole-vehicle inspection and texted me a complete report and followed up with a call to let me know what items were a priority and what could wait. When I went to pick up the car, I was given an invoice with a $0 balance due, which was a nice surprise. Prompt, polite, professional service. Thank you! read more

Henderson Auto was amazing. After inspection toughly documented and recommended all possible options without pressure or even suggesting taking the most expensive. When I was delayed in picking up my car, they stayed past closing to check me out and get me back on the road. A+ read more

Henderson Auto has been working on my cars for years. They are absolutely the best! They are honest, reliable, very responsive, great at explaining what's happening with your car, and super friendly. I won't take my car anywhere else. Brian, the owner is is a gem (as is everyone who works there). Henderson is the only mechanic I trust. read more

This business is one of the best I've seen in my many years of taking care of cars. From the first time you visit them, the explanation of what your car needs and why, including pictures is the complete package. They are professional, small town friendly, complete with dogs and are as loyal to their customer base as their dogs are to them! read more

I was able to make an appointment to drop off my car despite their full schedule with less than 12 hours notice so they found start to look on to my check engine light. They have a great overnight drop off system and text you a report to look at. What they found was actually a software upgrade that needs to be taken care of by the dealership and they didn't end up charging me for a diagnostic test since they were unable to do any work. Such a nice fiscal surprise for me after the holidays as well as relief that nothing is wrong with my car! Really fast and great to work with, definitely take your car here if you are also out on the internet overwhelmed! read more

Henderson auto is awesome. They seem to be completely honest. They send you a vehicle report with photos and recommendations and are not pushy in anyway. If something needs to be done but doesn't have to be done right away they tell you about how long they think you have and let you decide based on that if you want to wait or not. Prices are fair, I am sure you can find cheaper work but i don't think you will get comparable amounts of trustworthiness or honesty. I told them of a issue another shop had found and told Me needed to be done, and asked them to do that for me, they could have just gone ahead and done this service and had me pay for it. But instead they took a look and found the other shop had lied about it and the service didn't need to be done at all. They have won me as a customer by being honest snd trustworthy, and I have already told all family in the area to go to them as well. Highly recommended! read more

I just moved to Tigard from out of state and failed my smog test because the check engine light was on. I brought my car to Henderson partly because of the good reviews and partly because he was close to me. He did some research and found out that the problem with my car was a known issue to Hyundai. He called the dealer for me and gave me the good news that the dealer would fix the problem for me at no charge. He went above and beyond. Then he didn't charge me for the diagnostic. That is good customer service. The shop is immaculate, which impressed me. Katie and Brian both greeted me warmly which made me feel good. And Charlie the Great Dane is an added bonus if you need some doggie love while you wait. It's is a relief to know I have found a mechanic I can trust in my new home. read more

I just had my first experience at Henderson Auto, and was extremely impressed! They checked our car out thoroughly, and let us know what was recommended and what was not. They are very fair with their prices, and have excellent service. Highly recommended! read more

Thank you, Henderson Auto, for fixing my car! I've used these guys for my last 4 car services and they never disappoint. Honest, thorough labor - they even caught a part that had been installed wrong by a previous shop! Now my car has never run better! I like that they text you a detailed report of the quote, with great notes, pictures, and a health meter for your car. They are cheerful and friendly when you walk in and just make you feel like part of the family. Excellent work - I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

My fiancee and I are long time customers of Henderson Auto, and we can't say enough great things about them. They provide excellent auto repair and maintenance at reasonable prices, with outstanding customer service. I've never had a problem making an appointment in a timely manner as well. They genuinely care for their customers and their community. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need! I would like to extend a special thank you to Brian and Katie, you always make me feel well taken care of and you go above and beyond time and time again. Thank you! read more

These guys will treat you right. They continue to surprise me by their desire to do the right thing. They've talked me out of the 'quick sale' or repair multiple times and advised other options like adjustments or greasing... which equaled little or no money out of my pocket. Their advice has never turned out to be the wrong thing and has always solved the issue. Larger projects have always been thorough, transparent, and fair. They're clearly interested in building long term relationships with customers instead of making quick money or up sales. No mechanics in your family? Give these guys a call. A refreshing experience of honesty and genuine service . I'll never take my vehicles anywhere else. read more

My van had a failing front wheel bearing which I needed replaced. I got quotes from a couple new shops because my old repair shop recently changed owners and the new owner was was being dishonest with prices on both parts and labor. Henderson Auto is one that came in fair on price for the job. Kindness and responsiveness on the phone from Katy and Brian to my questions and fair upfront pricing brought me in. One additional part needed replaced and he called me to let me know. They charged no additional labor and I price checked the part later and it was same as if I had bought it from a local auto store myself. He also let me know about an additional service originally quoted and that it was not needed at this time and asked if I wanted to skip it and save the money. I can work with a shop like that! Also their up front inspection of your vehicle comes photos of the parts on your car they are diagnosing with costs if you wish to have them done as well. When I went in to pay, Brian showed me the additional bad part from my van and where the damage was to it. They had me in and out in 2 days and the new wheel bearing has been nice and quiet. I never met Kenny the technician but the work speaks for itself. Great Job! I can definitely recommend this shop! The ratings you see here on yelp for this shop I found to be true. read more

I brought my car here based on some great reviews and I'm so glad I did. The service was outstanding. I went in with one major concern and a couple of smaller ones. Sadly it was my transmission and just not worth saving. He told me that as soon as they turned it on they figured that out and let me know. They didn't fix all the smaller things, charge me outrageous money and then bother to tell me my car was beyond repair which I really appreciated. I will definitely be bringing future vehicles here. read more

Brian and his crew are amazing. I brought my car in, for a leak repair that the dealer said was needed. Not only was it going to be $600 less here, Brian said the leak was so minor that he "would feel bad taking my money to fix it at this point". He also told me that my brakes were at only 15% in the front ... the dealer didn't even mention that they needed to be replaced. I will now be bringing both of my cars to Brian for all of the service they need. I'm glad there are still honest people out there, not just looking to take your money. read more

I brought my Ford 150 in to Henderson's to get a diagnostic he looked over the vehicle and told me it was something he could not fix,I appreciated that he was honest And didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need, I appreciate Henderson and I would recommend you to a friend. read more

I have never felt more "taken advantage of" as I felt leaving Henderson Auto. I was representing my daughter who had an agreement with Henderson that no work would be done on her car until her approval. She'd dropped car off for the weekend and made it clear she only wanted an "estimate" for replacing alternator. Their price was 30% higher than several other bids so I went in to pick it up while she was at work. I told them the estimate was too high - i was only there to pick up the car. He said it would take two hours to get the car ready for me to take???? Parts taken off around radiator - very odd when only an estimate was requested. I was patient and walked around town for 3 hours before he had it ready to take. Before giving me the keys he presented me with a bill for upwards of 700 dollars?? I could not believe it. The alternator had been replaced in spite of our clear statements otherwise. I feel he had been offended when his inspection turned up a radiator problem that 'might turn into something' and we decided to go elsewhere. I decided to not call my attorney or begin shouting at the red faced guy. What a dishonest business ethic. Very insulted by Henderson and his company and would not recommend them. read more

If you want to deal with some honest and respectful people, bring your auto needs to Henderson Auto. Brian and Katie are the best to deal with. We have taken seven or eight extended family vehicles to Henderson's for years. They are simply great. They are honest, straightforward and competent. They always deliver on their promises. I have always used Henderson in the past. I was surprised that they were extremely rude, belittling, and dismissive when scheduling in person. I have an extremely busy schedule (as many of us do nowadays) and did not appreciate the rudeness. I will never be coming here again. Do not recommend. read more

I chose Henderson Auto out of convenience initially because they are located close to where I work, but now I will go back because of their service and pricing. Katie was helpful and warm, and when I spoke to Brian about my car he explained the situation clearly and outlined what I needed to do to get back on the road versus other things that need to be done, but could wait for another time. He came in under his originally estimated price to me, to boot, and I had my car back a day earlier than I expected given my experiences with other mechanics. I will definitely recommend Henderson Auto to friends and family and I will be bringing my car back in future. read more

The team at Henderson Auto did a terrific job with my car. I set an appointment and dropped off my car where they have it all set up to be contactless. I received a detailed invoice about three hours later all set with pictures and detailed descriptions of maintenance that needed to be done. Gave them the green light and all four of my rotors were replaced by end of day. They went the extra mile and contacted the Kia dealership for quotes that I had inquired about. The quotes including the labor costs were included in my official invoice which saved me a lot of hassle. Absolutely recommend this place, very professional, honest, and competent at what they do. Everything you'd want in a mechanic. Cannot recommend enough, I've found the place for the all of my car needs. (Unless it's tires, which they recommended some good places that I could look into) read more

So... as a student trying to milk a budget, I'd been hammering my starter to get it to work through my final exams! I happened to overshoot the dog park one day, pulled into the lot of Henderson Automotive by chance, and it happened to be there that my car would start no more. They supported my efforts to get "one more start" out of my car in my last desperate attempt to get my car home, and when I decided to just have it fixed, they gave me a fair price and the had the part there and the work done that same day! They also did a courtesy check on a few other things on my car, such as how the brakes and battery were doing: their report back was spot on with the information I already had about my brake pads, battery, etc., so I appreciated their honesty and accuracy! I was treated well and glad I happened upon this place. I would definitely recommend them. Car is working great! (PS They even topped my oil off, as I was so busy with school it had gotten embarrassingly low...) Thanks guys!!! read more
