Great shop. Took our BMW and Toyota cars there for variety of issues and was given good diagnosis and advice. Pricing is good. They are great to work with and are always helpful and friendly. I highly recommend Dan's. read more

From my first call to get an initial estimate and timeline for replacing my radiator and some other general maintenance on my Camry I had nothing but great communication and follow through. They made some recommendations that made sense and didn't push anything. Explained what they were doing and why. Did a few little things without charging extra. Yes, I wish it cost less, but the pricing was reasonable and as estimated. Could I have found someplace to do it for less? Maybe, but I sleep better knowing my car is well taken care of. Having a loaner car made it work for me. Until further notice, they have my business! read more

How do you thank an auto mechanic team that has taken your car from dealership to 22 years? It isn't easy but I'll try. Ready to help when you limp in with a mirror hanging off from a parking lot hit and run. Towed in after 2 years of neglect (free ride in a tow truck.). Detailed-----even pristine under the hood. Loaner cars, a ride home & no contact pickup & drop off during the pandemic. Never stranded with a break down. Phone consultations. No charge. Discount coupons and "No charge ". Always smiles and laughs. 22 years of trust. Friendly reminders for mom. Dans became family when family moved. They did the service requested, with quality parts and the added value of confidence. I recommend them unequivocally. read more

What I like about Dan's Auto Center the most is that it's a family owned mechanic. They're accredited and trustworthy. My mom and I have both been taking our vehicles to them for close to 10years and we've always felt that we get a fair price for the service they provide. They're compassionate and understanding. read more

Dan's Auto always does a great job and at a fair price. Wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else. I usually work with Jennifer and Thomas and they always go above and beyond. They usually have a loaner vehicle available for me to use when I drop off one of my vehicles - which is super helpful and convenient. I highly recommend them. Give them a try. They won't disappoint. read more

I tried to remove my earlier review of Dan's Automotive. The app would not allow me to edit or remove it. This place has been great and I wanted to add an update of five stars because my initial review was inaccurate and incorrect. Due to information I was given from my sister after I had been in surgery my comments were inaccurate and incorrect. I highly recommend this place and Thomas and Jenny are very knowledgeable and helpful. My apologies to the business for my inaccurate initial review. read more

Great team. Repaired my gmc and Chevy trucks and our suv Toyota. Love this family oriented small business.

Charged way more than they originally quoted, could have had the work done else where for much cheaper. Also the owner was extremely rude and talked down to me for every question. Will not go back read more

Went in to fix my air conditioner. They fixed it (after 5 hours I got a message that there was no hose leak so they probably just put coolant in). Was charged over $300...they did NO OTHER SERVICE. Told by the owner that my brake pads would soon need changing for about $600. Drove out with a burnt-out tail light and overhead brake light---which they did not mention. Overpriced and terrible customer service. read more

I bought a used 2004 F150 for what I thought was a steal but just weeks after bringing it home it (of course) started having major problems. I tried to get someone to diagnose it but nobody could tell me what was wrong without tearing the entire motor and drivetrain apart. It definitely wasn't anything simple to fix. I brought it to Dan's based on reviews I'd read and I'm so glad I did! The guys over there took the time to painstakingly go through the entire engine and drivetrain and eventually found the problem and fixed everything. It runs perfectly now, and they didn't even charge me for the weeks of time they spent troubleshooting the truck to find the underlying problem. If you're looking for an honest shop to take your car this is it. Nice people, easy to talk to, they do great work, and give a great deal. I'll be bringing all my cars here from now on. read more

The only time I have been to this place was to have them check out a car I was considering for purchase. They did okay on that, hence the two stars. Might have been three if the office lady had not been so incredibly negative. But what has really gotten to me is that ever since (nearly 3 years and counting) they constantly send me ads in the mail. I do not live in the area, I am never going back to them, they did what I asked, thank you good-bye. I have both emailed and called asking to be removed from their mailing list and still the slick oversized postcards arrive. This may sound like a small thing. But I do my best to create as little waste as possible. There is no need to make my postman (who walks a 7+ mile route daily) trek up to my house to deliver their ad. Dan, please, please take me off your effing mailing list and leave me alone. read more

Dan's auto takes the anxiety out of car repairs. They spent the time going over all of my options and prioritizing what needed to be done and what could wait. They also went above and beyond in offering to give me a ride home if I needed. Dan's will always be my go to auto center as I know they are giving me the best service at the best deal. read more

They were so much more helpful and full service for my Mazda CX9 than Gladstone Mazda for the same problem. The work was started and completed sooner at Dan's, they listened to my concerns and answered my questions. I will always take my car to Dan's from now on. read more

We are new to the area and had this place recommended to us. We brought our car in for an alignment and INSTANTLY had issues with our car after. Our wheel bearing was messed up and our car STILL drifted off to the right. We brought it back and they wanted to charge us $1400+ to fix the bearing, even though this wasn't an issue before bringing our car here. They also tried to say that the alignment has nothing to do with the bearing but just a few quick google searches and asking different mechanics would tell you otherwise! We ended up calling a few different places for quotes and were given HALF the prices they were trying to charge us here! Would not recommend this place, they are obviously here to bleed their customers dry with bad repairs and damages they cause! !!BEWARE!! read more

They were honest and fixed my lights as well as topping me off with oil before my long drive. I will definitely be returning for their amazing service. read more

I have taken my truck to them twice and they are knowledgeable, reliable, and they have saved me quite a bit of money for the amount of work that they could have opted for. They were willing to go out of their way to help me in a way I'm not sure many mechanics/auto shops would have and I am very appreciative of their services. read more

Man am I disappointed. Been using these guys for several years for oil changes and some repairs. Did an oil change and Jennifer recommended several maintenance items totaling $2050.00. I called around to a couple of places and can get the exact same work done for $1015.00 less. They have been nice and pleasant enough but if I can trust that I am being treated fairly on pricing, I'm moving on. Bye read more

I took my car here because of a referral from a friend. I wanted to find a location that was trustworthy. I found my shop! Very friendly, and it was so convenient they had a loaner car to use. Jennifer was very upfront with the work that needed to be done, and even what could wait and what really should be done on my car. Will definitely be returning for my maintenance on my vehicle. read more

Normally, I would say the service is great here. Just don't leave your vehicle with them for days in a row. There's been a recent uptick in theft in the area. Cadillac converters and a vehicle were recently stolen off their property and they don't have anyway to protect their client's vehicles if parked outside. After a cadillac converter was stolen from my vehicle, I was told their insurance won't pay for it and they only covered half of my deductible. read more

These people are clueless! I took my daughter's used car in...not only did they "forget" to do what we asked. They ordered parts we did NOT ask for...I get post cards, emails advertising their services ALL the time. I have asked them multiple times to take me off their mailing list. I will NEVER use them again! They still have not removed our name and address from their advertising. Do you really want to trust your car to someone who can't control a basic computer program? Also, calling around to other shops, they were consistently 3 times higher in price! read more

I found Dan's Auto Center about 18 months ago, when the Beaverton Satrun dealer closed. We have an 11 year old Saturn and a 5 year old Ford, and we have had about 95% of our sevice done at a dealer up until now. Dan's is pretty close to where I work, so I can drop off my car in the morning and walk to/from work. It's very convenient. We chose Dan's because the dealership in the area that said they would service Saturns gave me a several week wait to get in for some basic servicing. Dan's took us in within a day or 2. I've taken both my cars to Dans for various service since then and have been very pleased with their work. They are very courteous, can accomodate my requests in a very timely manner, charge reasonable prices, and do very good work. One time when we had an issue reoccur after a servicing, they took care of it immediately. What put me over the top was that my rear brake light went out 2 weeks ago. I was planning on going to buy a bulb myself but couldn't get around to Oregon City to the closest part store. And then I was going to buy the part online ($14). I called Dan's 2 days ago, and they said to just come by. They gave me some times that they'd be free, and I stopped in yesterday at 1:30pm. They had my brake light fixed in less than 10 minutes, *and* they only charged me $5. I'm sure that was at cost or probably less than their cost for the bulb. So I'll probably be using Dan's for more of our cars' needs going forward! :-) read more

They don't seem to know what they are doing. I asked them to check over my car, specifically the catalytic converter and alternator. I was told an expensive engine cleaner would probably help my catalytic converter. This engine cleaner did nothing but leave soot all over the inside of my windshield that was left uncleaned. I was luckily given a refund for this. I was told I could pick up my car but when I got there my battery was dead. When I asked why my car was dead the guy made up some crazy information that was no where near being true. I took my car to an alternator shop in Oregon city and they replaced the alternator. No longer had a dead battery after that. This is not a fake review and this is for the location off Boone's Ferry. read more

These folks are great. They fix my old Subaru all the time. What are they great? 1. Very nice people in every department. 2. Solid repair service 3. Total honesty with their quotes and such 4. Timely. You get your car back in a day or two. 5. Conveniently located. They are in a non-busy part of town by a freeway. read more

Fantastic place to take your car for repair. They replaced my rear brakes today and flushed my brake fluid. Jennifer was super helpful getting me in before my trip despite being down a mechanic. They got the job done in a timely manner and even had a loaner car that I could use to get back home in. Biggest surprise they washed my car! Very pleased with the service. Highly recommend and I will definitely be coming back for other services. read more

I am new in the area and was looking fr someone who would really care about my 18 year old car as much as I do! What attracted me to Dan's was that it is family owned and run and that they ha e been around for a long time. In fact, while I was there I met Grandma and Grandpa (it was his birthday) and the family dog! The repair costs were reasonable, they gave me a loaner car to use and my car was ready in earlier than anticipated! I will be using them whenever I need repair services and am happy to recommend them! read more

I brought a car in that had locks on the wheels. They claimed they couldn't find the key. Mind you we had the car for 18 years and never lost the key. They charged an arm and a leg to change the tires. That was the first clue. Next, I get a postcard with an all inclusive oil change, tire rotation, brake check and overall check of the vehicle for $39.99. Sounds like a good deal. After 45+ minutes of waiting for my car to get done with the service, yes I did schedule an appointment, I get a phone call that one of the screws in the oil pan won't come out so they have to drill it out. Really? Seems weird but I was in a rush to get it done so I agreed to the extra cost. When I picked up the car I got a $100 oil change. Never rotated the tires, never checked the fluids or brakes, nor did they do anything else on that list. I was scammed the second time. I hate having to be on guard all the time because of people like them. I will never be back. read more

I've known many who have sworn by Dan's for years so I decided to give Dan's a try. Went in with an appointment. Counter person said well your not on the books. Come to find out the appointment was taking by her. Her manner of speaking to me was I found rude ( Jennifer owners wife). My quote was going to take about 45 mins. It took an hour. Do you want your quote now or when you come back she asked on the phone. "I like to see quotes on paper". The quote was 1025.00. On the quote was a leaking water pump which no one else had found. Since her rudeness continued. I thought this is not a relationship I want to have with a mechanic on my car. Went right across the way to Clutch & brake Doctor..More than 1/2 the quote. Nothing wrong with water pump. My car is running great. Eli has great customer service skills plus he knows his cars. My Scion XB mechanic. read more

Called there to see if they charge for a diagnostic test. They charge $131.00 which is a bit expensive, in my opinion. The receptionist was helpful at first, but when I didn't want to schedule an appointment, she just flatly said "okay" and then just hung up the phone. Not have a good day, thanks for calling. None of that. She could've been a little friendlier, to me. Everyone isn't obligated to schedule an appointment- some people actually call to inquire. read more

Car was making a clicking noise, took it in $1000 later still have a clicking noise. Is it common practice to charge $11.99 x 6 spark plugs when they cost $3.06 each? I thought average markup was 100% not 300% The work was done fast. read more

Stranded late-day through naive response to a failed alternator, in impending winter storm. The new battery had shortly failed me. I trusted Dan's from full reliance on them years ago, and called them. They sent the appropriate local tow truck and kept the car for repair. After the recent snow storm that we had, my 92 Lexus sc300 would not start. I had troubles in the past with starting it which took multiple tries. But after the snow storm it took 10 to even 20 tries to start it. Fed up, I took it here to Dan's Auto Center! Their service was wonderful and they even lent me a car to carry on with my busy day. It has been over a month since they serviced my car and it hasn't felt better! It starts immediately and runs smoothly, I'm very impressed with their services. Their prices were fair and they reported any other problems that may need worked on in the future. I highly recommend this center if you need your car fixed. read more
