My daughter took her vehicle in for a nail in the tire, we ended up with four new tires. The car entered the garage without body damage and exited the garage with a significant dent, scratch, and paint removed on the driver side rear passenger area. The supervisor there stated they would take care of us and sent her to get an estimate on body repair. She went to two places, and the estimate was emailed. They assured us that they take care of their customers and they would take care of this. The manager came in a few days later and stated that it could not have happened in the garage because her car had white paint on it and that somebody must have hit it in the parking lot and therefore it is our responsibility. I have always thought once you give someone your keys at a service department, what happens to the car during that time is their responsibility. I have no idea what happened when the technician parked the car in the parking lot and drove it in and out of the garage. We filed a claim with Firestone and the claims department denied it stating that it must have been hit in the parking lot. Bottom line is we lost and we have to report it to our insurance company and pay the deductible. They did offer to pay the deductible, but we have not seen any follow up on that. The decision was made by two people who were not there during the incident and minimal consideration was given to the customer. So therefore the customer is wrong and Firestone is right and the burden is on us. My mother always said that this world is not fair and don't expect it to be, but it sure is hard sometimes. We hate to stop using the Carrollwood location but they really left us no choice. Trying to accept the injustice here and just move on. Thanks for reading.

Big mistake…read more I brought my Accord in with a complaint of noise from the rear wheels,stating that I thought it was the wheel bearing(s) since they had done rear brakes only 15K miles ago. I asked them to look at the front brakes too, since they hadn't been replaced in many years. They said it was the brakes, which I authorized. They replaced them and insisted that all 4 rotors needed to be replaced. after the work was done (around $1000) they informed me that one of the rear wheel bearings was starting to go bad and I should bring it back for replacement. They quoted $600 for the job. I requested the old rotors and only one was bad. I took them home and miked them, the other three were well over the minimum thickness for turning. Despite the disability that I brought home from Iraq, I jacked up that wheel to check it out. The bearing was so bad that the entire wheel wobbled about an inch back and forth. I ordered a replacement bearing on Amazon for $50 and paid a guy from church $60 to replace it. It took about 1 hour. I will never go to Firestone again, and will never recommend them to anyone again. I have spent around $10,000 there over the years, but they'll never see another nickle from me and I seriously contemplated a small claims lawsuit.

Their careless mistake during a routine oil change has now cost me over $2,750 in diagnostics and repairs, and they have failed to take responsibility. On January 16, 2025, I took my 2013 Jeep Wrangler to Auto ER for a simple oil change. Immediately after their service, my oil pressure warning light and check engine light (P06DD) came on--issues that were NOT present before. When I returned to Auto ER, they failed to resolve the issue, leaving me with a serious mechanical problem that they refused to take accountability for. After spending $2,750 at another repair shop, it was confirmed that Auto ER's technician failed to properly reinstall the O-ring in my oil filter housing, leaving a piece of the O-ring lodged inside my engine and causing severe oil flow issues. Despite being presented with proof of their negligence, Auto ER failed to respond by the deadline I provided, despite confirming the issue had been escalated to corporate. Key Reasons to Avoid Auto ER: - They performed an incompetent oil change that resulted in serious engine damage. - They refused to take responsibility even when presented with clear proof from another certified mechanic. - They failed to respond by the deadline after claiming corporate would address the issue. - I have now spent $2,750 in out-of-pocket costs because of their carelessness. I will be escalating this issue to the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and pursuing legal action to recover my damages. If you value your vehicle, stay far away from Auto ER. They do not stand behind their work, and their mistakes can cost you thousands in unnecessary repairs. Learn from our mistake--take your car elsewhere while it's still running. These people will leave it out of commission from something as simple as an oil change.

They provide you with a quote and breakdown via text message that leads to a website with price of parts and labor for each thing. You could even text their number, which was great. The main reason why I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of communication. When I called about my car that was towed there, I asked about turnaround and expectations. Now, when I got there, they had a lot of cars in their lot. I definitely did not mind that it took longer than expected. I didn't call or check-in every day but I did try to get updates bc I needed to know if I needed to get a rental. I wasn't given turnaround time and with the games and events happening in Gainesville it got too late for me to get a rental. I honestly felt like they were purposefully not answering me or answering me at the end of the work day. I know I could've just gotten it but one of team members I know was truly trying to save me money by telling me to hold off on getting a rental until I heard from them. I ended up not getting a rental which was difficult with work. I ended up asking for some leniency at work and would bike (which was scary on Archer), but it was fine. I am very grateful and would definitely come here again but now I just have no expectations with regard to their communication.

We told them again we would be in late that same week for the truck. Jan 16, Friday, we called to pay for the repair by phone, so we could pickup our truck Saturday . We were told they had not even started our repair yet! I scrambled to call around to find a rental car for the weekend. I finally found one available at Budget-it cost $300! We drove there first thing Monday, only to find they had just pulled our truck into the shop then proceeded told us that they had no idea when they would finish the job that it could take a few more days! I was very upset and told him how he cost us money and he did not care. He admitted he lost the keys and waited 5 days before calling us to tell us! He also admitted he failed to get our truck into the shop in over 3 weeks time, knowing we were coming back to no vehicle and he then admitted not having anyone let us know it was still not completed or why. No follow up, no customer service. NO APOLOGIES AT ALL. JUST AN OBSTINTANT and ARROGANT ATTITUDE. ONLY INCOMPETANCE FROM THE START. I would not trust this place, as they have proven to be unreliable and incompetent when you need them most!

I took my car in with serpentine belt issues. For my make and model, this part generally costs $30-$50. Ahren's priced this part at $80. Their diagnostic examine also found belt tensioner issues. For the serpentine and belt tensioner replacement combined, they quoted me $512 of repairs. This is extremely high and gives me the inclination that this is another mechanic in town that is trying to take advantage of college students who are not as informed on car repairs. I do not think the presented quote is fair by any means so thanked them and let them know I would not be having service done their. I was presented with an $85 fee for a half-hour diagnostic look. This fee was not disclosed beforehand at all, was not mentioned verbally, and I did not sign anything agreeing to this fee. Take your car elsewhere. I took my vehicle here just out of convenience of location, but have previously had much better service at the Firestone off of Archer and with Billy's Auto Repair & Towing. UPDATE: I went in to pick up my car and wish I could leave a negative review. If you take your car here and leave without even having any work done, you will be charged an $85 minimum. I asked why I wasn't informed of this in anyway (no signatures, no verbal inform) beforehand and the woman working the front desk had the owner come out. He raised his voice and started asking why I hadn't taken my car to Billy's or somewhere else. In his rant he referenced other reviews that I have left on Gainesville for miscellaneous places which was unsettling. He lied and said he listened to my phone conversation, saying that I was informed of all fees beforehand-- I certainly was not and he wouldn't play the recording. I have lived in Gainesville for many years and can say assuredly that this is one of the shadier places in town. They use deceptive business practices and their prices are anything but honest.
