    Gotta love dealerships…read more... They'll rip you a new one when it comes to repairs esp with European cars. I found Atech on Yelp and used their project feature to request a quote. It also sent requests out to a few other shops, tho that part is always random, and not all of them were even close to me. Anyhow, Alex the owner responded in minutes and gave the most reasonable quote to change my BMW front brakes using OEM pads. I dropped my car off in the morning (they were working on several European cars), and it was ready by early afternoon, just as promised. Alex was honest, transparent, explained things in layman's terms, and made me comfortable as a woman who doesn't know cars. Just a heads up, in case you want to get some work done while you wait, there isn't a waiting room...just several lawn chairs near the entrance. But hey, it helps keep their overhead low, and those savings get passed on to customers!

I gave them a call Saturday morning and spoke to La Lo. He was very helpful, pleasant, and very customer service oriented. I told him about the battery light and he asked if I could bring it in around 1pm since they were pretty booked that day. After bringing in the car, it took about 40 minutes until they were able to come up with a diagnosis for me - the alternator needed replacing. La Lo gave me a quote for the repair, and even did some research to see if he can get better pricing for the part, which he did. He saved me a few hundred dollars, which was much appreciated. He told me I would be able to credit the cost of the diagnosis ($85) towards the repair. I brought the car in for repair the following Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). My wife's car works great now, thanks to DAS Auto! From the initial call, to the in-person interaction, you could tell they care about their customers. Even hearing how they speak to other customers in their shop, they're very honest about the repair (La Lo even told one customer the cost of his repair and that more than likely they might find other things wrong if they went through with it). I highly recommend them! They'll be our go-to mechanic moving forward!

I hit up Joe asking if he could run diagnostics and he was able to make time for us to come in immediately. We left the car with him to troubleshoot and he called us within the hour to let us know the brake discs and pads needed to be replaced and he found a mistake the previous neighbor "mechanic" made when attempting to fix our brake problem. Joe had parts ordered and was able to fix our car the very same day! No more rattling or scratching metal sounds when we brake. I highly recommend taking your car to DAS for any vehicle trouble you may be experiencing!

That lines up with what I've experienced, and it sounds like a lot of the older negative reviews were from the previous operation. Today was the clincher for me. I came in expecting to buy new brake pads because I thought I heard squeaking, and I also needed an oil change. They checked it out and told me straight up: you don't even need brake pads right now. Save your money. That level of honesty is rare in auto shops. Fast service, straightforward, and no upsell. Highly recommend.

I okey and they lifted the car , did pressure check and did a diagnosis., I had to wait for a long time .. finally called me to the garage to show their findings & told me Oil cooler is faulty and I need to replace it , it will cost $1400 including labor + parts .. I paid $100 and left the place .. wasted more than 2.hrs .. next day on 11/22/2025, I went to a another garage in San Bruno , which I found 2-3 weeks back and decided to take my car there for the first time . (In fact the garage usually I go for last five years since 2020 wasn't able to do the repair immediately as their mechanic on vacation) So this new place mechanic said he will do a diagnosis/pressure test and called me the garage .. he told me nothing wrong with the oil cooler , it is the coolant reservoir which is over time has damaged and started leaking .. so I told him to replace the coolant tank and it cost only $300... now since that day my VW Gti coolant leak disappeared.. no more leak ... See this service center is a scam they want to take your money for unwanted repairs .. I went today 11/26/2025 to this service center and met with the manager or supervisor same person who did the diagnosis, told him your diagnosis was wrong . He wanted me to let him check the car , wanted to lift it .. I said no need to , refused it . I told him to check it under the hood , check the engine area , see whether there is a leak.. I told him he should refund me the $100 as it was their fault , if I believed them I could have spent $1400 and until now the leak was there. He refused to refund me and I left the place and said I will never come this way or recommend any one .. runaway from this place , never go there .. they will rip you off for no reason of your car ..

Since this is a lifetime alignment for $200+ your car, it is great and can save some money by doing it this way. The staff is friendly and just understood what I needed. But why I wouldn't give them a five-star rating was that when I walked up to my car, the steering wheel, armrest, and seat were greasy. The woman at the front desk was friendly and let me know they were busy, but said my car would likely be ready by the end of the day and that I would receive a call with any updates. They close at 7 PM, and after receiving no call or communication at all, I headed there around 6:45 PM expecting the car to be finished. Instead, I was told they were too busy to get to it and was asked if I wanted to leave it overnight so it could be the first car worked on Tuesday morning. At that point, I was already disappointed because I could have taken my car elsewhere and had the job completed the same day. The next morning, I returned around 9:30 AM since they open at 7 AM. Gabriel was helping another customer, which was completely understandable, so my partner and I waited patiently. However, after finishing with the customer, Gabriel acted as if we weren't even standing there waiting. No acknowledgment, no "I'll be right with you," nothing. He continued working on the computer and answered the phone while we stood there for nearly 20 minutes. I understand phones need to be answered, but basic customer service and acknowledgment go a long way. After all that waiting, Gabriel finally informed us that they never worked on the car because the wrong tire size had been entered into their system by the previous employee. My car is a basic 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe -- nothing rare or complicated -- and instead of correcting the mistake, no effort was made to resolve the issue or communicate with me. At that point, I decided to take my business elsewhere. But it got worse. While driving home, I noticed a loud dragging noise coming from underneath my car. I pulled over and discovered my catch can dragging on the ground. We drove back immediately, and they claimed it may have happened while backing the vehicle out because the car is lowered -- despite the car being on stock suspension. Thankfully, Omar was accommodating and fixed the issue quickly, which I appreciated. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. Poor communication, wasted time, lack of accountability, and terrible customer service from Gabriel. Based on other reviews, it seems this isn't uncommon. Gabriel's attitude is not suited for customer service, especially at the front desk where customers are the first priority. I would strongly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere.
