First time here and man does this place have the best service ever. Called in for an oil change and they automatically said bring the car right up. Right when I got here the Asian guy (who I thank for all the car knowledge) took my car in and moved some cars around and got to work with another employee inside. My father usually changes the oil for my car but this time we've decided for me to go to an oil change station and get it done there. I was nervous because I didn't know where to go after seeing the outrageous prices and bad reviews on other places. I came across this one and decided to give it a try. I called some places before actually getting my oil changed and when I called this place, they caught me the most attention because not only it was at a reasonable price, they told me it came with a free inspection and asked me what kind of car I had and what kind of oil I needed. I called other places and most of them just gave me a flat out price (which was very over priced) without giving any information or asking me any questions about my car. Hillside Auto told me to stop by in an hour so I did. Went there, told me to wait another 15 minutes since they were working on another car. I actually only waited about 5 minutes so that was great. They inspected the car and changed the oil all in 20 minutes! I was surprised how fast time went by. At the end they told me what they had fixed and that everything else looks good with my car. They gladly told me to keep my receipt so that when I come back next time for an oil change they won't accidentally charge me another price. It's cool how they also put a sticker on my dashboard for the next time I should get my oil changed again and how many miles I should have by then. They gave me a price to do front brakes at this place, when I was going to make an appointment the price was $180 higher than the original price. So I take my vehicle to another shop and they did the job at the price hillside auto originally gave me. The technician informed me that hillside auto installed a part improperly. Stopped by Hillside during the week after dropping my mom and aunties off at Lucky Chances nearby. Had some time to kill so I asked the guys to take a look at an intermittent stall/engine sputter on my car. I previously took it to 2 other service shops and none of them could figure out what was wrong with my car since the symptoms were not always present. No check engine light or anything visible. Kong (the main mechanic) asked me some preliminary information on when the problem occurred. After a minute or so of questions, he proceeded to test the coil packs which are related to the spark plugs/ignition on the motor. Turns out that one of the coil packs needed to be changed and he recommended I service all 4 including the spark plugs. I gave him the green light and the job was done in just under 45 minutes including delivery of the parts I needed. My car left Hillside running smoothly and the stall has gone away since. My gas mileage has also improved which is great since I commute a lot. Overall, the service and attention to detail was excellent. Prices were very reasonable and they weren't trying to sell me on extra services I didn't need (like other service/mechanic shops I've been to). They really care about the performance and safety of your vehicle. Kong checked my fluids, tire pressure, and pointed out that one of my tires had a bulge in the sidewall which was a safety hazard. Came in without a appointment but they fitted me in right away. Got a nail in my tires and needed a oil change and they took care of that quick. Kong, one of the mechanics also did a inspection on my car found out I was also leaking oil from somewhere and help me patch it up. Great Price!!! Fast, friendly service and reasonably priced. Kong was very helpful. I had a check engine light (CEL) and a roaming idle on my 96 honda civic. Kong pinpointed it to the idle air control valve. He cleaned it out and cleared the CEL within 20-30 mins. My car is working perfectly now. read more

Kong and his team is awesome, they were professional and honest which is rare these days I got referred here and I've had an ongoing issue with my exhaust and Kong suggested I replace my converters. I got a call back from Kong the day after dropping of my car, and found out that he'd tested the car after replacing the parts and it hadn't resolved the issue. I have a rare and very tough to work on car, so Kong referred me to a specialist. Best part was he also he refitted my original parts, and refused to take any payment for his work! deserved a 5 star! Came into to auto inc looking for timing belt service with lower ball joints and control arms on my Lexus. A fairly big job and not to mention a serious service at that, but dealing with kong and his squad I had much confidence that evrything was going to be a1 . After my car was complete kong even hooked me up with a extra service that he didn't have to which he could have charged minimum 100. But as he takes care of his customers he is more interested in quality over fast and quick f you and take your money. I also had an issue with my engine mounts which is costly no matter where you go but they still tried to give me the best price they possibly could. I've been going to this shop since it opened. It's convenient for me and I got lucky because the service and customer service is super awesome. Kong the Mechanic was very welcoming and explained to me everything about what my car needed. As a women I had no idea that they check other things to make sure my car is good when it gets off the lift. For example l liked how he told me which tires were low on air, which oil he used and how much of it was used. He also explained to my when I should come back and not wait for my light to turn on because for me I explained to him that I drive a lot and he said I would need to come in a little earlier than my car should. All this information is what I like to hear. I did not have an appointment but needed new brakes and tires on my Mercedes E550. My brakes were squeaking and there was no more tread left on my tires! Since it was already 5:30 pm, they were getting ready to close, but Kong was very helpful and took his time to give me a proper diagnosis on what I will need and about how much it will cost me. He suggested to leave my car overnight and he'll work on it first thing in the morning. I left my car with him and as promised, my car was ready for pick up by noon the next day.
