I took my Trailhawk here for noisy brakes. After two years of trying to fix the problem, the noise was never remedied, and I was told that it was how the brakes were just supposed to sound. I also had an air suspension compressor pump replaced and they used an aftermarket pump that needed a bracket and didn't fit properly and made a very loud rattling noise and did it not inform me that they were not using OE part. After three tries replacing the brakes, Walee was dismissive of me and refused to check the parking brake tension cable and parking brake shoes when I suggested that that could be the issue. I took it to another shop (SF Automotive Solutions) and they told me that the brakes being used were the wrong kind of breaks and the parking brake shoes needed to be sanded and the tension cable lubed. The noise was gone after the new shop first attempted fix and has not come back. read more

Come to Faxon garage to leave with more problems than you came in with! I came to Faxon Garage for a tire installation and alignment. I get a call from the owner mid-service saying that all 4 of my tpms sensors are dead...which he installed for me only 3 years prior! Very convenient story but I paid up because I had considered selling my car. The craziest part was actually when I got my car back because the trunk hydraulic was busted so bad that I had to use heavy force to open and close it. I called the owner out on the trunk and he pressured me out of replacing them with oem because he said it was all the same...which was a complete lie. The new ones are temu garbage and every time I close my trunk I'm reminded by how sloppy this garage is. The cherry on top was that my tail lights got burned out from the alignment and I had to spend time and money to replace those too. Do not come to this shop because they will nickel and dime you for bs issues while still providing F tier service. If they think they can get away with an obviously broken trunk door how honest do you think they will be if they mess up your engine, brakes, or transmission? read more

Had my car Porsche 911-4 serviced for an inoperative rear passenger side window. The shop manager said they do not stock the part and and they would order the part from the Porsche dealer. I said go ahead and please order the part for me. When I picked up the car, the front passenger window was no longer working. They said they opened the it and the motor was not working. The front passenger side window was working fine and suddenly it's not working. When I asked for the parts purchase receipt of the motor for the rear passenger window, they refused to give me the receipt for the part that they said they would order on my behalf. The part is only $700 and they charged an exorbitant $2000 and would not give me a copy of the receipt of the part that they said they'll order on my behalf. Had I known they would over 150% markup, I would have gone to the dealer. They said the dealer in fact did not have it and it was mailed to them and the refuse to give me the receipt for the part I bought. read more

Good work and reasonable prices, but they left a scratch on my door handle. I went to get a full synthetic oil change on my 2016 BMW 340i. Last second, I asked for a brake fluid flush as well, and luckily they were able to accommodate me. I was asked to pick up the car very late ~15 minutes before closing, but I think that's reasonable due to my last-second request for an additional service. Unfortunately, the technician who had grabbed my car in the morning had opened my door into the wooden utility pole next to the parking. Luckily I don't drive a show car, but I would have been very unhappy if I had been driving a brand new vehicle and this had happened. Nothing but a great experience which doesn't come out of a young woman's mouth often when talking about getting her car fixed. As a young woman with a higher end car I found it quite difficult to find a shop that was telling me the truth and also didn't mind explaining to me anything I had questions about. I've dealt with far too many people in this industry that are very condescending and untrustworthy but not here. From the phone calls to the front desk to the lovely humans working on my car, It was a great experience! On top of all this you can't beat their prices. It's beyond fair. My first time coming to the place was something with my oil. They just charged me for the oil they put into my car and no labor, I then needed some major stuff done and when I got quotes from other places it was almost tripled. A couple days ago, our car started heavily veering to the right, to the point where we had to overcorrect our steering wheel by about 60 degrees, which was extremely scary on the steep hill we live on. We called around to ask for quotes on wheel alignment, and Walee gave us a very fair price compared to everyone else we asked who was able to do wheel alignment. We took our car to Faxon Garage the next morning, where they did a free inspection. As I had feared but suspected deep-down, the problem was worse than wheel alignment: a compact arm was broken badly. Again, I called around, and they were the better price. They were able to get the issue fixed within 24 hours, even though they had to order the part and were very busy that day. Plus, the price came out to less than they had originally quoted us as well. Even though we have a closer neighborhood mechanic, Faxon Garage is better priced and more honest, well worth the 30 minute walk for us! read more

This shop is a little bit of a drive to get here, but for me it's worth it. They have taken care of my cars from the first time I used them to mount some tires I purchased online. Their kindness and attention to detail is what keeps me coming back and referring my family and friends to use them. One of my tire pressure monitors failed and was displaying two dashes instead of two digits. I bought a new tire pressure monitor and decided to have it installed on my spare tire. I had to go to Win Long Hardware and buy gas in the area so I brought the spare and tire pressure monitor to Faxon Auto. I think I was quoted $35 to install the new monitor. I left the parts with Faxon Auto and was told I would be called when the tire was ready. Around 4 pm I got the call and picked up the tire the next day. The job itself is pretty simple. I normally do it myself but I can't break the bead of the tire. A shop used to do that for me but they closed. read more

This is my first Yelp review. I've been looking for a reliable, honest, and professional auto garage to bring my cars in for a while. I called Faxon Garage this morning and spoke to Walle. I've neither met Walle nor had my cars serviced there before; however, my phone interaction was super positive. He took time to answer my questions, with thoughtful advice. I took my Lexus sc300 in for what i thought it needed was a thermostat but came to find out that it needed a radiator, new battery valve gasket, coils and spark plugs ultimately came out to about $2600 which i paid but upon checking the receipt came to find out i was charged double for labor for the valve gaskets, coils and spark plugs. This was strike one! Less than 24 hours later after getting my car back my car started to leak which stranded me two hours away from my home which caused me to have my car TOWED back which i additionally came OUT OF POCKET for smh. So i took, my car back to Faxon to have the issue FIXED and they advised me that now it was the radiator fan clutch and the water pump which is fine but being that they just worked on the radiator why not advise it may be going out so that i could of been aware and also that the water pumps may be going out being it had to be showing signs of going out, first so why not advise that it was going out. All around this company wasted my time and provided horrible customer service! Buyer beware! Took my kia to Faxon Garage last week for a steering wheel clunking sound problem, was told a while later that the whole steering wheel needed to be replaced for 2k+ and for a diagnostic fee of $161.28 (fee was never mentioned when dropping off my car and had to be paid before getting my key back). Baffled by the 2k+ quotation I took my Kia to another repair shop for a second opinion, and within one min of looking at the wheel the new shop's mechanic said it's a common problem for all Kia and Hyundai cars, part is $5 plus labor of about 3 hours. Had the steering wheel fixed for about $650 within the same day. Clunking sound is gone and car has been running fine. read more

I've gone here just once because they are a CarMax repair partner. My repair was part of an extended warranty I purchased through CarMax. I had faulty tire sensors. It was found by another mechanic. Faxon Garage stated that the three were working and one was not. They replaced the one that wasn't working and I haven't seen the TPS warning light come on since. They were courteous, professional, and no hassle. My only complaint, which is not a big deal, was that I had to get my van a few blocks away from the shop that was parked on the street. read more

STAY AWAY!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. Went in because my car overheated. I needed a quick fix. They overcharged for a heater core hose... I can handle that. Then they called to tell me that since my car overheated, it melted the plastic on my radiator, and I needed a brand new radiator. Which will cost me $2000! I asked for a video to prove that it was leaking. They sent me a video of a loosened hose clamp on the passenger side of the car. I was always taught the radiator was in the front of the car, not the passenger side? I took my car out of there ASAP with my old "melted" radiator that doesn't leak at all. I haven't added water since I left the shop and replaced the hose clamp myself for less than $5. Then, the owner had the nerve to send me a text asking how my car was running and my opinion on the repair. I informed him I was disappointed and that his company is a scam he never responded to me. This proves to me that he knows my statement is true about being a scam! read more

Showed up at 10:45 a.m. for my 11 a.m. appointment to install 4 new tires I got from Tire Rack. Stayed in the neighborhood for lunch since I was told by Wally, owner, it would be 90 minutes to 2 hours. Saw my car was on the hoist when I walked past the shop after my lunch around 12:15 and figured its being worked on. Waited until 1:15 to walk back to check, and find my car was still on the hoist and no one was working on it. So I asked the guy in the office (not Wally) how much longer will it be and he start yelling at me that it will take as long as it takes. Wow?? Great customer service. Took all 5 of my cars here for tire installation for the past 10 years to support my local businesses. Guess making an appointment for tire installation is not to prevent overbooking. Finally got a callback at 2:15 to tell me its ready. That's 3 1/2 hours to install 4 tires. Btw, there's no waiting room, I had to walk around the neighborhood. When I went back to pickup my car, the same guy gets some one else to help me. No apology for the 3 1/2 hours wait. If you need your car service, find a friendlier place where they'll recognize your time is as important as theirs. read more
