There couldn't have been anything worse about my experience. I was forced to go to this Midas location 90 minutes from my home through my Carvana coverage. I dropped it off after work early at 9:30am for a 12pm appointment on Friday. Nathan with the yellow teeth took down some notes, my mileage, & two different phone numbers for me. I heard nothing all day. The next day, Saturday, I called at 1pm - an hour before they were due to close - to see if there were any updates for my vehicle. Willy answers and says, "Oh, this Honda out here?? You dropped it off yesterday morning??" Not a single worker acknowledged that my vehicle had been there damn near two full days without being evaluated. The technician was on lunch & Willy promised to have him look at it. I suspect there is something wrong with the VTC or tensioner, but Willy calls to tell me that the technician says that according to my oil sticker, the wrong synthetic oil was used for my car & they think a simple oil change will fix everything. I ask if I can just come get my car & Willy was nice enough to wait after closing for me to drive 90 minutes to the shop. However, he then attempted to charge me $179.99 for the diagnostics (completely wrong by the way, but we'll get to that). I asked if we could just make it free considering they didn't even know my vehicle was there until I called them two hours ago. He gave me a discount of paying $61 - for nothing. Also, if he knew he could give a discount, why wasn't it offered in the first place?? Why did I have to ask for a discount for this terrible excuse for service?? Anyway, picked up my car, & Willy was adamant that I just needed to start with an oil change with the correct oil. I drove to Take 5 the next morning after work & explained that I was told by Midas that they used the wrong oil for my engine during my last oil change. They reviewed my oil sticker & my records to see that they did actually use the correct oil. I called Willy at Midas to have him repeat what he told me & it turns out, the Midas technician CAN'T READ because it WAS actually the correct oil on the sticker. So Midas did an incredible disservice to me in 8 different ways and MADE ME PAY THEM FOR IT. I wish I could write out all of the choice words I have for Midas on here. Worst experience ever doesn't quite cover it. I am a night shift bedside nurse. If I screwed up as many times as Midas did (literally, they did not do a single thing correct) during my very brief experience, all of my patients would be DEAD. I hope this Midas location ceases to exist. Soon. For the sake of humanity. read more
