I had a very disappointing experience with Sullivan Tire. Before dropping off my vehicle, I…read morespecifically called and confirmed that I would not be charged just to diagnose the issue. I was told "bring it in no worries, we gotcha" Based on that information, I brought my vehicle in. When I picked it up, I was unexpectedly charged $200 for the diagnosis. If I had been told there would be a fee, I could have made an informed decision before leaving my vehicle. I have no issue paying for services when the costs are communicated upfront, but being told one thing over the phone and charged something completely different is unacceptable. I'm leaving this review so other customers are aware and can be sure to get any pricing in writing before authorizing service. Poor communication and a lack of transparency like this erode customer trust. I won't be returning, and I hope this review helps others avoid the same experience.

Last service, they charged an additional $20 on the credit card over the price of the service ($89.95 instead of $69.95). Noticed it when I got home. Corporate never responded to a request to discuss (I sent an email to the address in the comment below but nobody replied. The regional manager does not want to learn from this - hence this review). Bob is a friendly trustworthy local guy who works his ass off and has earned my business more than once. I found myself in a bind this past October with my Toyota needing complete brakes (I used the E brake to get it to his shop) front and bake as well as an exhaust pipe Bob found missing & preventing emissions from passing as well as a dozen other things to pass inspection. Needless to say, my budget was limited and time was of the essence due to my work requires travel. Bob did all the brakes, rehabbed the exhaust and took care of the dozen other items on a Saturday afternoon of me delivering it too him. Lastly, Bob and I discussed pricing before he got into everything that needed work and considering the additional exhaust- Bob stayed within 10% of my budget, including inspection. Couldn't be happier with ABS and my 4 runner that runs like a dream now.

The mechanic was working on a car in the garage. He say me stopped and came over to greet me. I told him what was going on. He says I can look at it for free, then give you a fair price and see if you want to do it here. He had an opening because someone else hadn't shown up today. He looked at my car. Took the tires off and told me what was wrong. He let me look at the rotators and I could see how worn-out they were. He gave me a great price for what needed to be done. He also patch a hole in my tire too. I am very happy I pulled into American Brake Service. I feel like I got a fair deal and everyone was super nice. It is great driving away from a mechanic and not feeling ripped off. I would totally use American Break Service again.

I had a friend who had been going to German Autowerks for a long time and he was particular, very particular about his car. I went with him one day and was really impressed with the friendliness, respect and truthfulness. In a warehouse section of Concord there was a garage with several service bays in a complex that had several body shops and car services. There was a long line of BMWs, Audis, Porsches and VWs. I have two BMWs and started bringing my cars to Autowerks for service over 10 years ago. Never, never has there been something that was misdiagnosed or overcharged. I've bought tires here at very competitive prices; Michelin, Continental and Pirelli. They know the cars because they drive the cars and they have the same sense most of us do is that the average BMW will be joy to drive, safe and high performance if it's maintained well. If it isn't properly maintained who can you blame?
