Pulled in to get a quick oil change. Air filter was removed from the truck which I did not request, and was not replaced as I requested. My truck ran ok, until I got about half way home. Then every time I stepped on the gas the engine would majorly lose power and sputter terribly. When I got home, I popped the hood to see if I could spot the mischief Jiffy Lube had caused. Air filter housing was reassembled incorrectly leaving a large gap in the rear of the housing. The hose clamp that secures the air filter housing to the intake was completely loose and able to spin freely, and this hose clamp should be extremely tight. The air filter housing was almost completely disconnected from the rest of the engine because of this. Was this a mistake or on purpose, no one will ever know I guess. One thing is for sure. I will never go to Jiffy Lube again. Lost a customer for life. read more

I don't even feel good giving this place of one rating. I just got my car home from the garage today following an oil change at Jiffy Lube in Concord. They stripped the plug when they did my oil change and I just had to have a new oil pan replaced and other pots due to their shipshod work. I called yesterday to let somebody know there what had happened and to see if I could get anywhere with them. The man answered the phone listen to what I had to say and simply said thank you and hung up on me. That was the one and only time I ever went to Jiffy Lube and Concord I will never go there again. I don't know how these places stay in business. I've done different things to both my vehicles here and am very satisfied with the work. This location does state inspections and has a laundry list of services like brakes, tune ups, and belts that they do. You will pay a bit more for synthetic oil than other places but it is more convenient. And you will save money on other services and most importantly you'll save time. Tire pressure light was on and tried 2 different gas station air compressors but failed due to the frigid cold temp this evening (-1F). Pulled into Jiffy lube and Justin asked how he could help. I told him my situation and asked if I could just get air for my tires. He said, of course just pull in and Sam the tech helped me. She checked and filled all four tires. I asked how much? I had my oil change done at Walmart in Rochester, but I noticed they didn't reattach the shield on the bottom of my vehicle. I stopped at Jiffy Lube in Concord, near where I work and they reattached the shield and refused to take any money for helping me out. I am very appreciative of the service they provided me! This was a slow, anxiety creating experience for a simple oil change. It took over 45 minutes without anyone in line. I had vacuumed and washed my own windows before I got there. They left my windows dirty, looking like they were all wiped with a greasy rag. Meanwhile 2 of the 4 attendants were on the phone for most of the time even after my vehicle was finished and we were just waiting to pay. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this place. I went to this Jiffy Lube for oil changes for about 2 years. They are fast, convenient, and until my last visit pretty helpful and friendly. Of course they always push the extras, but that's to be expected. Maybe I just went on a weird day, but last time I was there all of the staff were new. It was still convenient and they seemed to be making an effort to provide good costumer service. My low rating is primarily because when I noticed my tire pressure was marked as 32psi on screen I commented that I think the correct pressure should be 32 in front, 28 in back per the manufacturer specs on the door. Instead of explaining things or going back and correcting things they were very defensive and rude; treating me like I was an idiot for questioning them. I took the car to a mechanic for an unrelated problem but asked him about the tire pressure. Come to find out my tires were actually inflated to 36psi all around! This is still a good place to get your oil changed... just check your tire pressure afterward. read more

I went into the concord location today for an oil change. I bought the car a few months ago and hadn't had any problems, not sure I really needed it changed but I'm going on a long road trip and figured it's a good idea. Anywho, a few hundred feet down the road, after having it changed, a warning light came on my dash letting me know that my oil pressure was low and that I should shut the engine down. I drove back and they put a little more oil in - problem solved. I didn't consider it a big deal, some cars are just temperamental. They were very apologetic and said if anything else happens to head back and they'd take care of it. Brought in my new car for an inspection. I was told my car failed inspection due to "bad brakes." Spoke to the manager, who told me they would replace the brakes for $400 and charged me $40 for the failed inspection. Since I had just bought the car, I then brought the car to two separate dealerships to have the brakes looked at to get a second and third opinion. Both dealerships told me there was nothing wrong with my brakes and that it seemed like the Jiffylube was trying to get me to pay for work I didn't need done. I ended up getting the inspection sticker from one of the dealerships, and when I called back to Jiffylube, the manager was extremely rude and told me they never provide refunds for anything. He told me if I wanted to dispute it, that I could take my car to the NH state police to have them inspect it, which he stated he had clients do "all the time." I called the NH state police and was told that they don't do inspections and that I could file a complaint against the Jiffylube, which I ultimately did. Long story short, don't trust this shop. I figured since I had a new car, it was fine to go to a jiffy lube, but it was obviously a poor decision. Beware! read more

Pennzoil offers a discount coupon online, but these folks don't offer you that discount. I mentioned the coupon and the mechanic said he knew the number, but didn't discount the bill. When I confronted him about not giving me the discount, he gave the lame excuse that I didn't show him the coupon. That was not true. I mentioned the coupon and he didn't ask to see it. I went to this store for about a year. One day I went for my routine oil change and fluid flushes, etc. I made it about 35 miles before my car popped out of 5th gear on the highway. Long story short, they drained my transmission fluid and left it completely dry and ruined my transmission. My car was only 2 years old at this time. They haggled with me nonstop about getting the transmission fixed at the cheapest facility with knock-off parts. They also refused to reimburse me for the rental car when they stated up front that they would. Now I am going to court with them to settle the final amount of getting a new transmission. read more

The speed was great but the thing that was most important to me was that while I was in there, there were some pretty difficult customers that were asking a lot of questions and being kind of annoying and the person that was dealing with them (Josh I think?) was so super kind to them. I went to this Jiffy Lube because I was three months (!) overdue for an oil change and needed to just get it done. They told me to sit in the waiting room while they worked. Halfway through, the cashier came in carrying my air filter. She flopped it down on the counter, wrinkled her nose at me, condescendingly explained what it was for to me like I was a dumb toddler instead of a college-educated woman, and then told me that she "definitely recommended" replacing it. I asked how much, and she said $50.00. I said no thanks. (I have a mechanic back in my home area whom I'd rather trust with a job like that.) She then asked me what kind of oil I wanted, and snickered when I asked for the cheaper one. THEN, she proceeded to run down a list of other things my car "was due for," talking at lightning speed, all the while looking down her nose at me, as if I'm some horrible mistreater of cars. I felt pressured into saying "Sure," because she made it sound like my car was about to die on me if I didn't. She stared at me for a moment and then said coldly, "These things are an additional cost. They're not free." Again, I asked how much. It amounted to like $200 worth of stuff! I said no thanks, I'd have to plan for such an expense. All in all, I was made to feel stupid and was judged for the fact that my car is thirteen years old, I am 22 years old and broke because I just moved into the area and have just started a new job, and can't afford a bunch of new stuff for my car at the moment. I've worked in customer service all my life. I know the ins and outs of it pretty well. Believe me when I say, this was the WORST customer service experience I have ever had. Had my oil change sat 15th I ask them to make sure I was top off with tranny fluid because I was loosing fluid, they said ok I ask them again when the pulled the van out and the guy said yes your good to go. I started to go and the tranny slip a bit so I pulled into a driveway close to jiffy. I recently took my car in to have it inspected. I was told that the brakes needed to be fixed to pass inspection. As Jiffy Lube doesn't do brakes and never took the tires off to see if they needed to be done, I was obligated to take it to someplace that actually works on brakes. The other place, that actually fixes brakes said that after inspection that there was nothing wrong with any of my brakes. I then took the information back to Jiffy lube and asked them to put on the sticker as the garage that I had taken it to had said the brakes were fine.I was told that they would not give me the sticker, so I asked for my money back and was also told "NO", and that I would be reported to the state if I made a complaint. So, here you go......take your chances and pay more money to get your car fixed if you want, but I will never go there again! I got my inspection from someplace else. read more

Went yesterday for my truck inspection and the guy only took 10 minutes to do a what he calls a thorough inspections, i notice that he skip several steps just to come running and tell me that i need it rear brakes, so i was shocked cause those brakes they were done 3 months ago. so he want to charge me $270.00 to change them and i told him they are new. So his excuse was they had hairline on the rotors that wont passed nh inspection and i was like thats not failure excuse and he said am the inspector and they need to be fix. So after he didn't passed my truck i called the nh inspection authorities and the lady told me get a second opinion and i did that. So i took it to toyota and they told me the brakes are fine so the bottom line is this place jiffy lube they want to make as much money using the inspection as an excuse to take or still your money. I took my car to the Concord location for an oil change Sunday morning. When I left my oil light came on, so I pulled over, shut the car off and checked the dip stick. There was no oil in the car and the drain plug was missing!The shop claims the plug blew off, but there was no trail of oil from the shop to where I was parked.They installed the plug with a new gasket and filled the oil. Their remedy is to offer 2 free oil changes and refund me for the oil change. In addition when the took out my cabin air filter they left the retaining clips to the glove box off, so when my wife opened it, the glove glove box door slammed open, I talked to the manager and asked for some type of warranty to cover oil related engine damage for the next 50k. They could only offer a couple of free oil changes, so I can only hope there was no damage to my crank shaft bearings.You can keep the free oil changes and give them to the next car you screw up, I will not be coming back, read more

They put on a faulty oil filter. My truck was leaking oil out of the filter,so I took it back to them to fix. They said it wasn't the filter but my power steering fluid. So I took it to my dealer and they showed me it was my oil filter Not the power steering fluid. So I called them back and at first they tried to say it didn't even happen. Then they said they wouldnt pay for the dealers fees I got cause jiffy lube told me to take it there to get my power steering fixed when it was just my failed oil filter that they installed wrong.to sum it all up! After charging me 65.99 bucks for an oil change because they stated my car need the top of line oil I discovered or I noticed a strange oil burning smell coming from my car. I took the car to the mechanic and he stated that whomever did the oil change forgot to put an O ring around the filter causing the oil to leak out. After calling asking for a refund the only thing I was told was they can offer to a card for a free oil change. Like I'm going to allow them ever to touch my car again. Also checked the bill of sale they claimed to have vacuumed the floors which were not so I'm not sure how much was work was truly done. NEVER go here for an oil change! They will take your car apart to try to sell you more parts and services. I simply want an oil/filter change. They took out my engine air filter and my cabin air filter. The cabin air filter was dirty, and it would be $76 to replace it! I said no thanks, I could do it myself for far less than that. They put my existing filters back, then I drove out of the parking lot. When I turned on the AC, there was a lot of noise, so I turned around and went back to have them correct this problem that they caused. They said they would do so, but I would have to pay for the labor. SO, I WAS EXPECTED TO PAY TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT THEY CAUSED!!!
