She brought in her brand-new car, and they stripped the oil plug. Instead of taking responsibility, they dismissed it and told her, "You should probably go to the dealer and have it checked." At her second oil change (done at the dealership), the technicians filmed and documentedthat the oil plug had clearly been stripped. The damage was done by Valvoline. The cost to replace the entire oil pan was $650.00--a huge, unnecessary expense for my daughter, who was just trying to take care of her new vehicle. I followed up with Valvoline personally. Their response? "It wasn't stripped when we pulled it out."Completely dismissive, no accountability, and absolutely no offer to make it right. This was supposed to be a quick, easy oil change. Instead, it turned into a costly and frustrating ordeal. I'm incredibly disappointed and angry. I will never recommend Valvoline to anyone again--especially this location. Unfortunately, both times the staff told us that our vehicles had oil leaks. Recently, they even refused to perform an oil change on my daughter's Solaris, claiming there was oil in the coolant and advising us to take the car to our mechanic instead. However, our reputable mechanic has inspected both vehicles and confirmed there's no oil in the coolant and no leaks. I ended up paying $75 for an oil change with my mechanic, whereas I could have paid less than $50 using a Valvoline coupon for a conventional oil change. Adding to the frustration, my daughter couldn't drive her car afterward because the mechanic was booked two weeks out for an inspection and warned us not to drive it until checked. Thankfully, we had a backup car so she could get to work. Overall, very disappointed.
