I visited o Friday 5/15/26 for an Oil Change. Bays were Full. Two of us waiting outside but, only for a few minutes. Worker walked out to Greet me and tell me to pull up to Bay 2. There was team of about 4 techs calling me in and they ALL Welcomed me. I don't know his name but, the guy that was in charge of my car, asked me what I came for, they checked my lights, filters, too. I had a light out that I didn't know and my filters were filthy! Manager was out in the work area, Managing! I got my oil, a light, a filter and I was out of there in about 15 minutes! Staff was TERRIFIC! efficient, knowledgeable, and explained everything and friendly. They couldn't have been nicer. Manager watched and complimented them. Horrible Experience - Avoid Valvoline in Hooksett at All Costs I made the mistake of telling my daughter to go to the Valvoline in Hooksett for her first oil change--big mistake. She brought in her brand-new car, and they stripped the oil plug. Instead of taking responsibility, they dismissed it and told her, "You should probably go to the dealer and have it checked." At her second oil change (done at the dealership), the technicians filmed and documentedthat the oil plug had clearly been stripped. The damage was done by Valvoline. The cost to replace the entire oil pan was $650.00--a huge, unnecessary expense for my daughter, who was just trying to take care of her new vehicle. I followed up with Valvoline personally. Their response? "It wasn't stripped when we pulled it out."Completely dismissive, no accountability, and absolutely no offer to make it right. This was supposed to be a quick, easy oil change. Instead, it turned into a costly and frustrating ordeal. I'm incredibly disappointed and angry. I will never recommend Valvoline to anyone again--especially this location. Unfortunately did not have a good experience at all. I was lied to about what happened during an oil change which ended up costing me quite a lot and as a young female it seems as though I was taken advantage of. Trust is very important in considering where I bring my car to be serviced and Valvoline has lost mine. read more

Very efficient team working here! If work needs to be done they are quick to fix. Some work gets checked by another service member. They double check each other's work. Any questions I asked, they answered fully. Well mannered, no gutter mouths heard at this location. The garage is very clean. If something needs work ask for the price as it could add up. I do not recommend this particular location. I've had problems with valvoline's quality of service before but during the winter months it's tough to self-maintain your car if you don't have a garage.. This location was the last to do my oil change and with the nice January weather we've been having I decided to do my own oil change again. Dumped my oil, but couldnt seem to get my filter off??? Stripped the 3/8 drive on my cup style filter tool. Most mechanics I confer with agree, a filter should not be on more than hand tight. I bring my car to them to ask them to loosen it for me and make sure they lube the seal on the filter (I'm almost positive this is the source of the issue) and they tell me I need to go buy a strap wrench and do it myself... I have gone here for years always happy until today. As soon as I said I'd get an air filter everything changed. I watched them check all the lights on the car next to me. Never did mine. Sent my daughter in with a 24.99 oil change coupon, told her no matter what they said, JUST AN OIL CHANGE. We just had new tires put on two weeks ago, they told her she should really get tires rotated and other services. As told she presented the coupon for 24.99 but was still charged an extra $4.19 for "extra oil charge" total was then 29.18. Although may not seem like a lot different I am tired of getting ripped off $4.00 here and $4.00 there. Ran her card said she was all set and did not explain the additional money. Don't put out a coupon if you don't honor the true price and try to high pressure up sell a 19 year old girl. read more

Got my oil changed earlier today and it was a great experience. They were at a slow point ( I came close to close ) and about 4-5 people came out to greet me. They showed me things I should start looking to replace but didn't try any pushy sales tactics. I ended up switching oils ( they were out of my usual and I knew I needed synthetic oil anyways ) and they gave me things to look for in differences and the benefits of the different oil. They even showed me how to change my cabin filter! I had a coupon as well and they guy applied it and told me to make sure I keep it for next time. Great place! read more

The guys are good guys that work here. They are friendly and helpful. It is extremely convenient to stop in for an oil change here but it is just about double the price as a mechanics shop and you end up settling for the cheaper oil here because it is so damn expensive !! They change the oil filter out too and show you the clean oil on the dipstick before you take off !! They never forget to put a sticker on the windshield showing you your next oil change time .. they do offer you other services that are not needed but do not pressure you if you say NO !! Ask them to check the tire pressure and run a code reader if you have check engine light on .. they do it for free with the oil change ! Sometimes when the re drill the bolt on the bottom of the oil pan they do it extremely tight so it is hard to loosen the bolt if you go to change it yourself the next time !! read more

I went in for an inspection. The tech said everything looks good but you need to rotate your tires. I said "No, just the inspection." He "forgot" and did it anyway. You can't rotate tires without a high speed wheel balance, which is a service they do not offer. Now I need to go to a mechanic and get that done, for more money. This is not the first time the staff "forgot". In the Goffstown store, they put in the most expensive oil, even though I told them no and I always put in the cheapest oil. They always upsell you when you visit. You can't trust what they say because you do not know if you really need it or not. I have been a customer of Valvoline for 15 years. I can understand them ripping off new customer, but I have literally paid my dues. I am more angry with me for going back to an organization that is dishonest. It is a franchise so the owner(s) obviously encourage the behavior since it's more money overall. I went to corporate and they sent it down to the tech. I know it's convenient, but it really is not worth all the headaches. Also, regarding Covid 19, I'm in the waiting room and another tech comes in, without a mask to us e the bathroom. Went in for an oil change and inspection. If you can deal with one up-sell technique after another, it's not bad if you're in a hurry. Getting an inspection is a whole different story. First and foremost, the wait is ridiculous. I understand they only have one bay but the guy doing the inspection was doing other work in the bay's responsible for oil changes. Hey buddy... focus on the 4 cars in line for an inspection! To make matters worse my car needed a light bulb and they didn't even have the bulb to pass the car. Long story short... Yesterday, we phoned ahead to make sure we could get an inspection done as it was mid-afternoon. The woman we spoke to one the phone, Suzanne, said that an inspection would take half an hour and that they were doing them up until close(6p.m.) We arrived at 5:28p.m and were told that they were done performing inspections. All the bays were empty and the three techs were standing around smoking cigarettes and looking at their phones. We got the general impression that they took some pleasure in our dissatisfaction as we pulled away. We will never take our business to this or any Valvoline location again! read more

Great for an oil change when you need one fast, but trying to get your car inspected is an awful experience. The customer service is disgraceful, didn't even receive a hello. The special hours for inspections are posted nowhere. Never coming here again and I'm disappointed because I have been coming to a valvoline in other cities for years now. read more

Don't get inspected here. They might find something wrong with your perfectly good windshield wipers and fail you, or make you buy their garbage wipers at a premium price. They certainly don't care to do a good job putting the sticker on either. Poor experience. My old wipers were better than the new ones I just had to buy. read more

TERRIBLE !!!...All I wanted was a quick oil change...They tried to sell me EVERYTHING !!!...Told me all my services were way over do...When I told them to just change the oil, the guy got pissed!!.. I drove away & five miles later, the skid pan which protects the oil drain fell to the ground !!!...They hadn't put the screws in properly. Stay away from this place. They are RIP-OFF ARTISTS. First you drive in and sit in your car. The guy is friendly. They punch in your info on there computer screen. Then the oil change price comes up 39.99 for a regular oil change. That's about the going price, a little on the high side. So now the plug is pulled and the guy comes back and hits a few buttons on the computer and a price of 48.38 comes on the screen. Thinking that it might be a mistake I sat there and waited till they were done. That will be 48.38 sir. "WHAT" OH THERES AN EXTRA OIL CHARGE. I am driving a Toyota Highlander mid sized Suv. Nearly 50 bucks for an oil change? Here's the price breakdown 22.39 for parts that's including the 8.39 EXTRA OIL CHARGE. 25.99 for labor. So the 6.40 Quarts that they used comes out to 2.18 a quart which comes to 13.95 add the 8.39 for THE EXTRA OIL CHARGE. It comes to 22.34 So the EXTRA OIL amounts to 3.84 more quarts. So that means by there calculations there's 10.24 quarts of oil in my crank case. I HOPE NOT! An oil change here is maybe ok. Got an inspection done and they failed it on "dry rot" of the tires due to minor rubber cracks and a crack in the windshield (less than 3" which is state law) on the passenger side which had been resin sealed and passed inspection for the last 2 years prior. The tech said he never heard of that process... Independent opinion on the tires said they wouldn't have failed them and they had 60% of the tread life left in them. $700 plus dollars in un-needed repairs and the only time I'll ever return here is for the passing sticker. Never again will they get my business. read more

Went for an oil change here on may 31 2014 .They were not busy pulled right in sign states 15 minute oil change was more around double the time .This weekend I went to get front brakes done on the truck and the mechanic told me that the truck was not greased .I was surprised and explained to him that they talked about fitting count Jimmy told the pit guy that there was 11 the pit guy replied 2 then actually counted them saying 6 this number of fittings I know to be correct so I figured okay they got them .NOPE !!!! Makes me wonder what else was not done correctly To make it short don't trust this place to do the job correctly if you value your car. read more

Wish to could give it 0 stars. First off I got my first car no too long ago so I've never gotten an oil change by myself nor did I know what it usually ranges from. When I went there they seemed like ok people, not too nice but also not excessively rude. Anyway they checked my lights and afterwards told me I needed a "Max synthetic oil change" for my specific car, making it seem like that was the only option. Then gave me my oil change, but afterwards they tried getting me to buy all these different things for my car, things I didn't need. Then charged me 61 dollars for my oil change. I didn't think anything of it considering I didn't know how much oil changes were supposed to be. And as soon as I got home my mom knew I had been scammed. She said "I've never bought an oil change for more than 30 dollars, that is absolutely ridiculous" and asked where the receipt was, and realized they never gave me a receipt. Just told me "it'll send to your email" which it's been 3 hours & I still haven't gotten it. If you ask me, this is the worst investment I've ever made. Do yourself a favor and go to D&D in concord, or VIP in Manchester. They won't scam you and you'll get your money's worth. read more
