Let me start by saying these guys are great. I had a Land Rover with a Turbocharger Problem and no one wanted to touch it. I took it to 3 different places that stated they specialized in European imports but all the did was charge me for diagnosing a problem that I already was aware of and said sorry take it to the dealer. I took it to Motivated Auto and not only did they not charge me to look at it, they actually took the time time to fix it correctly at a fraction of what I would have paid at the Land Rover dealership. After having my car for a month, the not complete. I dropped my car off to have done to the bumper after three days. The deadline of when it was supposed to be finished I called to pick it up and I am told at that point the repair was not complete. However, the tires were done. The car was not dropped off for the The car was dropped off for a fucking repair. I threatened to call the police. They didn't charge me a dime fix it. I go back to the wrong bumper being ordered painted the wrong color! I'm told they'll make it right drop the car off. They only need it for one day so the paint can dry. I my car off on a Monday. pick it up until Saturday. After picking it up, I realize the first day driving it that there's something going on with the lighting system, high beam light warning, low beam warning, directional warning. reached out to the owner twice now with no response whatsoever. I think these guys are on fucking meth to be honest. I have stopped all payment through the qualify loan I have filed a claim and I am proceeding with small claims. read more

Absolute crooks. After having my car for 2 months fixing and issue with my engine, they returned it to me filthy and without functioning AC. When I brought it back they charged me $225 for a leak test and then told me it would be an additional $1400 because I needed a whole new Air Compressor. Upon getting a second opinion elsewhere, it turned out all I needed was an AC recharge which only costs $300 and didn't require a leak test at all. read more

Very unorganized. They didn't listen to what we needed done and very clearly peeled off my inspection sticker and put it back in despite the fact I was there for an oil change and tire rotation. When I got my car back and it reeked of smoke with a lighter that was not mine left on the driver's seat. I do not smoke. They also over filled my tires by almost 10 psi. The staff here is nice and the shop has a great waiting area, but when I went to other shops to get quotes on the work that was recommended to me by Motovated Auto Repair (because it was pretty pricey) I was told by technicians of other businesses that the work was actually unnecessary. A big bummer because I trusted these guys. Also not great on timing or communication. I dropped my car off in the morning and was told it'd be done same day, but didn't hear from them and had to call back in the afternoon and was told it'd be soon - called back when the day was almost over to find out they hadn't gotten to it. Next day called multiple times to hear about my car - never received a proactive call about my car while it was in the shop. One of the receptionists would act disgruntled and then hang up on me instead of answering my questions. When I finally got ahold of the owner (he was personable) I was able to get my car back. I understand logistics not going great sometimes but the recommendations for work I did not need is a deal breaker for me. read more

If I only had three words to write this review, I'd say that Motovated Auto Repair is "inviting, effective, and responsive". Fortunately, I have far more than 3. I went in to have a repair done before heading to work a few months ago, and the team at Motovated moved me to the top of the queue without charging extra so that I wouldn't be late to work. Later, they gave my recently purchased car a full inspection without charging extra just to make sure that I had gotten a good deal, before proceeding with the regular repair I asked for. The team is friendly and responsive, and they clearly care about both the work they're doing and the customers they're doing it for. Can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Steve replace an o2 sensor in my truck. a week later the check engine light came back on. Steve told me my converter was blocked or I had bad fuel. the truck ran very good, I did not believe him. I bought a code reader and it told me the left side bank 2 oxygen sensor was bad, the same one he replaced. from January to current date the has been no check engine light. it cost me twice as much as it should have for a bad oxygen sensor. Steve said he would get back to me for a credit he never did. read more

I'm not sure why this place has decent reviews. These guys are scammers and definitely not trust worthy. I was told a totally difference price than what I had to pay. They decided to go ahead and do work to my car that I was unaware of and charged me for it. AWFUL service. DO NOT GO HERE. UPDATE: Steve is lying in this comment he made. I was given an estimate of 490$. I said great go ahead. 5 hours later he called back and in his own words said, "you would have had to come back in 3 months to fix your car again so we went ahead and fixed it and now the total is 790$ here is my wife I will have you pay over the phone". 500$ is a lot different than 800$. That's not the point though. The point is he went ahead and did work to my car without my permission. Again, DONT GO HERE. read more

We broke down on Friday night. We called precision towing (who were also great) and they recommended Motovated. They towed us right to the shop. Saturday morning the Motovated crew got right to our vehicle first thing. The alternator needed replaced and they got it done for us before noon and for a fair price. We were on our way to Maine for a weekend getaway and were bummed about the whole situation, but the service and friendliness made the whole situation less of a headache! Thank you! read more

This is exactly what we needed in Hooksett... an honest mechanic! After spending $3000 at Prime Motors (Mercedes dealership in Manchester) to fix problems I didn't know I had, I found myself broken down on the side of the road within a few days with the problem I BROUGHT my car there for. I was so frustrated and called Prime to ask them how they couldn't find the problem and now it got to the point I couldn't start my car at all. They offered to tow me to Prime for "free", but instead I used my AAA and figured I would take my business to someplace new! Thank God I did! Steve had my car fixed in a couple hours. The cost was minimal and nothing was made dramatic. This mechanic definitely has a new customer in me. Good to know he can fix Mercedes. Lady in office was nice and friendly also. read more

I was absolutely thrilled with the service I received at Motovated! They were recently recommended to me by a family member, so when my 2009 Hyundai Elantra unexpectedly blew a radiator hose on one of the hottest days of the year, I had the car brought to them. The tow driver was prompt in getting it there, and the guys at Motovated were even more so in getting the repair done - the car arrived around lunchtime, and was fixed, buttoned up, and good to go before close of business that day. The air conditioner (heat pump) in our motorhome RV stopped working a while back. The inside blower motor did not run, so I bought a replacement motor. Today (Jun 13 2022) we visited Motovated Auto Repair in Hooksett NH to get the problem fixed. Our technician Chris found melted wires and a ruined capacitor in the control circuitry. He replaced the wires and capacitor, which solved the problem. Hopefully we'll be able to return the new motor. Thank you, Chris, for saving us close to $300! read more

Highly recommended. Stopped in here with a friend who had just bought a used RV to have it checked out and sort out a few issues. Steve was friendly and professional and prioritized the work that could be done in the few days we had. After confirming the cost, he put on a new set of tires, replaced the battery, and pulled apart the door to diagnose an issue with the locks that was especially tricky. He also did a full inspection, gave us a good overview of the condition, and didn't come up with any unexpected problems. They have a nice, clean shop that seems like it can handle all kinds of RV work. It ended up taking an extra day over what we had planned, probably because his shop is quite busy, but the prices were fair and it was 100% worth it. read more

I had two brake lines go in a 2000 Alero. I rolled the dice with a new Yelp! feature that allows me to shop around for a quote. That's how I found Motovated. I have been looking for an honest straight foreword mechanic literally forever. They got right back to me and gave me a quote I could live with and told me they could take care of it THAT DAY. I actually believe they want my business not just my money. I was able to limp the ol' smobile from Lowell MA to Hooksett. That's when I met Steve. He is a true people person and knows how to speak directly to the human in you. We talked at length about life and love and made me feel like he actually cared. They kept me updated multiple times about the status of my repair. They even let me come look at what they were doing. It was truly a memorable experience. I look foreword to starting a few projects with Steve in the future. I'd like to think I came out of it with a friend too. I would recommend this shop to anyone. read more
