Went to River Oak pharmacy to get my Covid vaccine they said that it was going to be a $40 co-pay…read moreand that it was no longer covered by the government and I said well it's supposed to be covered because I have United Health insurance and then some administrator came back while I was in the waiting room and said I had to "pay an administration fee and you can't ask for reimbursement from your insurance company and you can't turn it into anywhere and we're not giving you the shot unless you sign this paper saying that you understand that you can't ask for any reimbursement for this from any place else and you can't tell anyone about the fact that we charged you a fee or report it any where, and that we made you sign this paper." Part two: then when I got the shot they told me that it was only $25 and when I paid for the shot they gave me two receipts one for the $25 and another one for $140 showing that my insurance company covered the $140 so what's up with all of that?

My prescription was sent over to their pharmacy Friday morning. I called Saturday morning because I…read moredid not hear anything about my prescription being ready. I spoke to a representative and was told that they are still working on it and it should be ready soon. I told her that the prescription is time sensitive and if they can please fill it as soon as possible. She said that they are working on it right now and that it will be ready soon. I didn't hear back from them and called towards the end of the day to ask for an update. I was told by another representative that they actually do not have the item and that they placed an order for it. It should be available on Monday. When I told her the situation and that I was already told that it would be available today, she responded that they are not talking new patients at this time and that they should not even be filling my prescription. She said I should have called yesterday to see if they would accept my prescription and not assume they would fill it. Additionally during our conversation as I was explaining why this prescription was so important she started speaking to a customer. I would understand if it was an urgent matter but she was asking the customer how her day was going and mentioned she hadn't seen her in a while. I wish there was an option to provide 0 stars as a 1 star review is still too much credit for the experience I had.

Since I take certain meds, I had a hard time finding a pharmacy who was taking new patients (everyone is so overloaded since the big chain store closed). Oakdale has been amazing since day one. They get my meds ready so I can pick up multiple on one day. They are always so kind and even have given advice when I was dealing with a recurring medical issue. The pharmacist, Christina (I don't think that's how it's spelled) is a kind hearted woman who truly cares about her patients. I don't dread going to the pharmacy anymore, going here is a pleasure. To top it off, they asked me how to pronounce my Finnish last name, which is always bonus points for me! They also have some OTC products and the price is a fraction of the cost compared to a big box store. I hope I never have to change pharmacies again. If you are working through a care home, be sure the care facility has a relationship with CPP -…read moreCharles the pharmacist can be quite nasty and an obstructionist if the facility does not have a relationship, in spite of the patient having one for many months. My mother was a client at two previous assisted care facilities and her Rx were serviced by CPP. Then a stroke hit, she was in rehabilitative care for two months then moved to a more comprehensive facility with the discharge Rx sent to CPP. I checked early in the week to see what happened. The woman on the phone said there was no record, did not know who this patient was ( in spite of several months in which CPP serviced her Rx needs) and hung up. When I spoke to Charles, and relayed this incident, he denied it happened or could have happened (nice he protects/defends his employees, despite their behavior) and said he could only assist next week and perhaps some arrangements could be made. A lot of good when there is an immediate need for the Rx. Here is one customer CPP will not see again.
