Driving my little red Dodge again - rental car bill for one month exactly was 700 bucks (I was expecting a thousand), Micro bill came to eight-hundred-sixty instead of the two grand I was afraid it was gonna be. What Mic did was middle-ground between factory and the total custom setup he'd originally proposed. He put in a larger radiator (which in Arizona is not a bad idea anyway) and relocated the factory intercooler. Bottom line is, I drive it for a while and see if it still feels good, or if we need to go with a larger intercooler and a different setup. On the way home, at least, it was still capable of kicking ass when I stand on it - hafta take it out on the freeway and see what happens for real, and if I can still hit 12 lbs. boost, but it beats hell out of the Yaris (which, I hate to say, I drove for the month I had it 'like a rented mule'). I've been a customer since 1999 when my husband first brought in his Nissan with an electrical issue that no one at Nissan (or in California) could figure out. Mic nailed it within a very short amount of time and we have been using Micro Imports ever since. Mike recently resolved a very tricky relay problem I was having in my Toyota Land Cruiser. He didn't want to just jump in and start replacing everything. Mic and Mike and Travis spent time really testing my car before they replaced anything. They even bought a machine for testing Toyota's. just for my car. I also price check with other repair shops and Micro Imports is always reasonable and competitive with other shops. I can't believe Micro Import is still there. I first went to see Mic in 1978 for brake problems on my 1974 Datsun pickup. I drove only Nissans for the next thirty years because that was their specialty at the time and it is hard to find dependable, honest and knowledgeable mechanics anywhere. Micro Import did all the maintenance on 5 of my Nissans over the next 22 years until I moved to Connecticut. This place is a class act. It took me 8 years of searching in CT to find another mechanic that I trusted with my cars the way I trust Micro. My son who still lives in Tucson called me because he was having problems with his Nissan so I did a search and found they were still there. So now the next generation will get the same service that I got for so long. read more

Many hundreds of dollars later, and frustration by not being able to resolve the issue, I called Mike, once again, and he came to the rescue. It took him about five minutes of asking me some simple questions and he figured out what was the problem. I did not believe it, but once I made the repair based on his recommendation, back to great performance. Important to know that I am a difficult customer. I demand a lot. Outstanding group of people helping while I needed help desperately. I live in Phoenix and my daughter goes to school At U of A, her truck broke down the day before Thanksgiving I worked out the logostics for towing with my insurance people and the group from Micro were ever so kind as to call me and keep me in the loop as to when they got the truck and how much they thought it might be. Found a 2001 Subaru Forester on Craigslist. Everything looked good, but I took it into Micro Import Service to have a pre-purchase inspection done. I was able to make a same-day appointment, and everyone was incredibly friendly and courteous. The mechanic was done in less than 90 minutes and gave me a comprehensive written report.
