Rude staff and rude customers. Staff took over all the dryers and said they do that. And then customers who left their dry clothes for 45 minutes to an hour dry in the machine came in rude and pushing people actually waiting with their clothes out of the way. May be a great place for drop off but terrible for doing your own laundry read more

Great service! I had been using Ocean State Laundromat in Middletown, but a few weeks ago they left all their customers high and dry. They suddenly closed without a viable explanation. So,I found myself at Micki's. I dropped my clothes off and picked them up the next day. Let me just tell you, my clothes have never been so clean!!! We were on a road trip through Newport and ran out of clean clothes (oops!). We stopped in Micki's and I have NEVER seen a laundromat so busy - I guess there was a tennis tournament in town and everyone was using Micki's. We asked if our clothes could be ready by 12 the next day (this was less than 24 hours turnaround). I was skeptical but our clothes were ready by 11:30! Absolutely zero customer service. I was going into inquire about getting wash dry and fold service. The worker was on a personal phone call and continued to talk as I stood there with the laundry basket in my hand. I decided I would just throw a load in and wait for it however the machines do not take debit cards. read more

We were visiting from LA and staying at the Hammitt Hotel in Newport. Since they didn't have a laundry service they referred us to Micki's. What a super easy and Pleasent experience. The woman was so nice and helpful. She took our laundry and texted us when it was ready. It was all folded perfect and in a bag and was super reasonable too. My daughter wet her bed just hours before we were about to check out of our rental property. My husband did a quick search and this was the closest laundromat to our house. My husband ran up there in a panic and was greeted by Micki who helped him out right away! What a rip off - $9.58 to dry clean one men's button down dress shirt??? I checked a variety of sites online, and they all said that dry cleaning a men's shirt should cost $2-$6, which made sense. This place is in a Newport strip mall, about a half mile from the busiest part of downtown, so they aren't paying New York City rent prices. They're just a rip off. The people who worked there weren't particularly cool or friendly, so there is no point in going here. read more

Amazing, friendly service. Owner picks up and delivers. Everything was cleaned and folded to perfection. We were delighted with the results. We were docked at a local marina, and were surprised to learn that he will even motor to your boat on mooring or anchor. Awesome idea. read more

Wow, this place must have changed a lot because it's awesome. Not only is the lady who works here extremely helpful but she watches over the place vigilantly. She smokes outside (never detect any smoke wafting in) and only does so if there is no one who needs her help. the moment someone new walks in, she puts out her smoke and immediately goes to help the newcomer. she couldn't be kinder or more helpful. I had to use this laundromat when my washing machine broke and I got to really like hanging out there, folding my clothes in the quiet drone of the machines. read more

I dropped my laundry off and it was finished even before she stated. An entire suitcase of laundry was washed and folded for $28. Saved me from taking time out of my vacation to sit doing laundry. Best service ever! I work on a yacht and was looking for a place that could do pickup and drop off. Not only did they arrive 25 minutes after I called (all the way to Hinkley Shipyard), they got everything back (nicely folded) in less than 24 hours. They can do it all - fender covers, blankets, mattress pads, athletic clothes, uniforms, sheets...and if you happen to be on anchor somewhere around Newport, Dave will stop by in his boat. Yes, he will text or call to let you know he's on his way, and then literally pull up to your boat in the harbor. That is what I call amazing customer service!!! read more
