I have never had an issue here and have frequented Pier Cleaners for a least ten years. It is not the closest dry cleaner to me, I live in Narragansett, but I trust them and have NEVER had a problem. Today, I first went to the Ocean state laundry mat which is closer to my hotel. The prices started at 6.75 for a machine. Nope! The machines here start at $3.50 and works up to the most I think $6 large. The sign out front (see picture) should get removed because there is definitely a wait as I estimate at least 40% of the machines are out of order. It also mentions AC but ummm it's extremely hot. They do have multiple fans around the room though but it pushes the heat around. If they close the blinds there is a small relief from the sun (which one lady did). There are vending machines for snacks, washing supplies and change machine. The dryer's work well so no need to do more than 20 minutes unless you have heavy clothing. They have a service to wash, dry, and fold your laundry as well if you are short on time. There is wifi although I didn't use it. Also they dry clean uniforms. Overall I'm satisfied.

When we first moved to Rhode Island, we were moving from Hawaii and because of that, our things…read moretook almost literally forever to get out to the East coast. This meant that we did not have a washer and dryer for months, and we had to use rental facilities in order to clean our clothes and that is how we found this place. This is not our first rodeo by far. We have had multiple military moves and every time we've had to find a place to do laundry because otherwise you're going to run out of clean clothes real fast. On my first trip out here, I was optimistic and hopeful that we would have an easy time of getting our clothes washed. When I arrived, I was exceedingly dismayed to see how many people were there in contrast with how many units were in the facility. I thought to myself wow, they have a ton of washers and dryers, why are all these people waiting for just a couple washers and dryers? I then very quickly found out that the reason everybody was waiting for one or two particular units was because all the rest of them were broken. I don't know if it's because they don't care to fix their items or they're trying to force people into growing weary and paying them to do their laundry ( which is something they do offer) but I do know that this is very inconvenient for me and was very inconvenient for everybody else. It took me hours to get my laundry done because of how few of their washers and dryers were actually able to do what they are there to do. When I was done with this chapter of my life I was super relieved. I was glad that I didn't have to use one or two units in a giant laundromat of broken washers and dryers and go through all my quarters. Now with covid, I'm even more glad that this chapter of my life is behind me but I feel bad for people who still have to use this facility. There were times when I was there that I also felt unsafe with other people doing their laundry and leering at me or being awkward with personal space and boundary issues. I don't know what they're doing here but it's not great and it's definitely not providing a quality laundry service for aquidneck residents.
