I placed an online order tonight for a sub and calzone. When I went in, they were beyond busy! While I did have to wait for my food to be ready, the clerk offered me a free dessert or drink for having to wait. I had not mentioned anything, she simply offered. This was a great moment of customer service that was appreciated. Having positive experiences like this can take a simple take-out dinner from good to great. The food was delicious! Got a to go order this evening. One thing right away that I didn't like is they don't answer the phone it's an automated service and it disconnects you. I had to order on the toast site. Got a large extra cheese well done. Glad I put in extra cheese and well done as there wasn't much cheese nor was it well done. Aside from that it wasn't bad. Typical solid pizza good taste, not too seasoned and not bland either. Crust was good. One of the better places in the area. Pizza 7/10 and here I would've done 4 stars but the phone situation is absurd and hope they switch to having an employee answer the phone in the near future. Parking is tight also. The pizza wasn't very hot either I feel like the time the app spit out when I ordered was too long it said 40 minutes probably was sitting out there at least 10 minutes in the box. Tried out Mickey's N.Y. Pizza in Derry after seeing Petros Papastavrou's review. Large pepperoni (18 inch) well done and bourbon BBQ wings. The pizza was cooked perfectly, crust was nice and crisp, sauce was abundant and flavorful, pepperonis were huge and flavorful too. The pizza had a ton of flavor and I wouldn't change anything about it. This is some of my favorite pizza I've had in New Hampshire. The wings were damn near perfect and the bourbon BBQ sauce was delicious. Definitely some of the best pizza in New Hampshire easily, go check them out. The best pizza I've had in the MA/NH Area. The distance to drive to this restaurant is worth it. My favorite is the Vodka Roni Sicilian. The hot honey & vodka sauce on the pizza is incredible and nothing I've had before. The staff is very welcoming & kind. this place has awful service. Derry location had 6 or 7 people standing behind the counter, swearing at each other and they managed to mess up our pick up order twice in one night. Amazing pizza! We've eaten pizza here for the past 2 weeks and both times its been great. Not greasy, good sizes. We got 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 cheese, love how the pepperoni are big pieces and not small that's typically used. I love Mickey's pizza. As a Brooklyn NY transplant, I'm always on the lookout for good Italian-style pizza but I'm always wary of claims that it's NY pizza. I got to meet the owner on one of my first visits and we talked about his training in a NY pizzeria. I've stood at the counter and watched and it looks authentic. But better yet, it tastes authentic. This is true NY pizza. I love their sauce. Their subs (heros to any NYers out there) are gigantic and taste great. And their chicken tenders are fantastic - big strips of white meat chicken battered perfectly. The inside of the restaurant feels (and smells) like a real pizzeria and they now serve beer and wine. Placed an order for pick up. When we got there to pick up the order we asked if the one bag contained both the truffle fries and wings that we ordered and was told yes. When we got home we found out that it did not have the fries. We had to call numerous times to get through and when we did they refunded the price of the truffle fries only - so they taxed us on something we did not get - they should have refunded the truffle fries plus the tax that was charged on them but they did not. Not worth our time to try and call again for them to refund the tax. The food was also not great - the calzone was on the burnt side and the wings were plain with a side of sweet chili sauce and certainly not enough for the amount of wings. Went there again a couple of months ago. Service was mediocre and so were the wings. My biggest issue is that the prices charged were much higher than the prices on the menu in the store. If you are going to raise your prices, don't mislead the guest. Change the menu first. I was not going to bother with a review, I was just never going back. Best Pizza in Derry hands down. I work for the local hospital and have bought folks pizza from there numerous times as well as popped in for a slice on my odd lunch break. Having spent a considerable amount of time in new haven and NY (pizza hubs in America) I will tell you this is the closest thing you will get to there.
