Place is going down hill every year. Prices are always going up and food on the plate is getting smaller. Don't know how much a restaurant needs to make but come on. This place was grate. Price was good and nice big meals. Value for money not any more. read more

The French toast tasted good. The omelet was very over priced for the small portion. Ordered a 3 egg omelet with cheese, and 3 other toppings. The size of the omelet was small. Only 3 pieces of sausage in the entire omelet. I have worked in many restaurants and was a breakfast cook also, so When we pointed out the size of the omelet, they staff did nothing about it. Asked for jelly for the toast. The waitress brought it over after we finished eating. read more

Baked in the sun waiting for Jim Plunkett to begin on Sunday afternoon. Jim Plunkett's web page said 3:00 pm start. Mick Morgan's web site and poster inside said 3:30pm. We arrived early for a seat but the show didn't begin until 4:31pm. Server had no idea why the show wasn't stating. So who screwed up? Mick Morgan's with a advertised 3:30 start or Plunkett with an advertised 3pm start. Baked in the sun in near 90 degree weather. Sorry Mick Morgan's loved both the Sharon and Newton locations but will never go again and will be sure everyone I know hears about it. How about the manager saying sorry or hey can I buy you a dessert....nothing, said nothing! read more

Don't get me wrong, the food was decent, but everything else needed a lot of fine tuning. Yes maybe I had a long day and was at the end of my rope after traveling across country but I was expecting a little better service than what we got. So let's set the scene. Three adults and two children are hungry after traveling since 4am west coast time. Delays and travel time we arrive in Boston at 9pm est. we look at yelp and find Mick Morgan's is very close to our hotel room so we call and ask how long they serve food, they inform us until 12:. We check into our room and head on over to Micks. We arrive at 10:02. They hand us the after hours menu which stated the hours 10pm to 12. We missed the other menu by five minutes. We look there is really nothing that my autistic son will eat that is nutritious and we ask for the other menu. They inform us that stuff has been put away and that is the only menu available. I look closer, on the menu is a burger with bacon and a fried egg. Perfect! I think...nope the manager would not allow us to order bacon and eggs stating that there is only one cook and they have other customers. His demeanor and steadfast refusal to cooperate with us almost made us leave but we were desperate and hungry and nothing else was open. We ordered our food and drink and like I said it was edible. The other point that made me write this was that the waitress was to busy sweeping the floor instead of seeing if we needed another drink. We paid our tab and left. Will I go back? Nope! read more

Stopped for lunch on a Saturday around noon. Seated quickly in a booth near the bar. Typical Irish pub decor, with more pictures of JFK than I've seen in one place. Menu was typical pub fare, nothing special or extraordinary. Waitress was friendly, but seemed a bit stretched - handling a large section of the restaurant on her own. Kitchen service was very sloooooow. Waited over 40 minutes for a sandwich and grilled turkey tips. Overall, just average all around. I'd go back if I was in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to go there. read more

I made reservations for 2 igloos at mick Morgan's Sharon location last night for my birthday and had the worst experience ever! Some of my guest were running a little late but we ordered drinks and apps as we waited. The waitress asked if we had 8 more people coming there was already 4of us in the igloo I said we had 5-6 more coming any minute she said well you'll have to one igloo work for your group. So 9 of us squeezed around the table while the other igloo I reserved sat empty the entire time!! The waitress was the worst part of the whole experience we waited 30 mins for drinks another 30 mins for people to be able to order food. The food arrived quickly which was nice but the waitress didn't come back to ask how it was or to check on our drinks. I had asked for ranch with my wings and got blue cheese so I went without because the waitress was m.i.a .My fiancé had to go track her down inside to get more drinks two of our guest requested their check at this time and the rest of us ordered more drinks. After waiting 30 more minutes for the check and our drinks my fiancé went back in to just cancel the drinks the waitress literally said well they're right there on the bar...... 7 mins later we finally get our drinks and the check. Then to top it off she over charged my credit card by $22!! We left her a $50 tip for the worst service I've ever received. When we called and spoke to the manager Neil last night he reassured us that he would handle the credit card problem and make this right for us because the service was so bad. Well I just got off the phone with him and all he said was the extra money would be sent back to my card in 72 hrs and that our server gave us all her time which was complete bullshit she literally popped in for one minute maybe every 30-40 mins and even had to be tracked down. So much for making things right....... I didn't want a full refund but an apology at least would've been nice.. the only good thing about this place was the food was good expensive but good. Beware of this place if your planning a birthday or large group outings!!!!!! read more

This being a neighborhood restaurant, I'd love nothing more than to give this a great review and for it to be a "go to" place for this local but after being served wine in a dirty glass, being served lukewarm sliders and no condiments and cold steamed broccoli, I don't think I'll be returning to this restaurant. If the service were more attentive maybe it would've redeemed the dinner but to watch your waitress chatting leisurely with other patrons while you're waiting 15 minutes just to ask for mustard and ketchup was the last straw. I'll have to find another local go to place...ughh. read more

I just telephoned to inquire about a gluten free menu. I asked if they had a gluten free menu, the young girl that answered the phone did not know what I was talking about. I repeated myself a couple of time, she asked someone near her, the response was that they do not have a gluten free menu, but there are gluten free items on there menu. That's fine I said, my next question was are the potatoes gluten free, once again she asked someone who was standing next to her, the response was I don't know, I will get a manager. That was also fine. She came back to the phone a couple of minutes later and said none of their potatoes are gluten free. I said are you sure, she said I asked at the bar and that is exactly what they said. This was certainly not a good first imression. Most restaurants are well aware of people who are on a gluten free diet and they can usually accomodate them. read more

They have great food and a great atmosphere. Only downside is that beers are expensive at $5.50 for a sam adams pint. With tip its about 7 dollars for craft beer. A little much for a pub on route one. I still go about twice a month, I just watch what and how much I drink. Fish rueben sandwhich is good. read more

My Wife and I went here a week ago. We experienced terrible service. The music and TV's which littered the place were so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think let alone converse with each other. Asked to be seated somewhere quieter by a very nasty hostess and were placed under a large very loud TV. We waited for a waitress for about 15 minutes not seeing one we left. We will never eat here again and will warn everyone else to steer clear. If this place doesn't change their ways they'll a statistic soon. read more

Been here a few times. They have a good beer selection but the food is average. I ordered teriyaki chicken fingers as my meal because we got a big appetizer. They came out plain and cold so I sent them back. Everyone else ate there dinner then my fingers came out. I had them packed to go because everyone was already done and we were leaving. I asked why it was on the bill and the manager came over. He was probably one of the most unprofessional person I have ever met! He said because I packed them up I had to pay for them. He said they rectified the situation by brining out new ones. " I did not go to a restaurant and sit down at a table to get a takeout"! Horrible Management!!! They lost a bunch of business over $11.99. It doesn't seem like this place will last to much longer if it was dead on a Saturday night! read more

I live about a half mile from Mick Morgans so I've been 4 times since they opened over a year ago. The place looks great. The outdoor area is great. Service is good. Beer selection OK, they have expanded it a little. Now for the bad part .... I've been with my wife so we've had 8 different meals and a couple apps. We haven't had a good meal yet. You'll get better food at a 99 restaurant and pay $3-5 less per dish. I don't want to make it sound awful because I really want the place to stick around. With chain restaurants dominating RT 1, it's a welcome addition. it's a big menu so maybe they need to slim it down and focus on fewer dishes. They are using very low quality foods. You would have to drink at least 4 pints to think this food is good! Sorry ... We'll still go for drinks, but not food read more

When first walked in the door I loved the place. Mick Morgans had a traditional Irish american pub feel to it. I loved the wood work, old school pictures and memorabilia but... and this is a HUGE BUT, the service was horrible! They had three bartenders on. One actually decent fella and two what seemed to be socialite girls that more or less just hung out together at the register when ever one had to ring someone up. Now the waitress' were even worse. When we first came into the bar we were seated next to the door, which is fine seeing the place was packed but, when we asked to move towards the entertainment our server took offense to it and took a day and a half to give us our bill. Then when we moved to two tables next to each other our party ended up in two different servers areas. My server was what seemed to be new to the whole "Pub scene" because she woulod take one order and go up to the what seemed to be overworked and backed up (not even close) bar and wait for individual orders. Hang out for what seemed like an eternity with the other waitstaff that also was clueless to the pub scene until she caught me pointing out the flaws of the service. Then she changed her whole persona. Now to the worst aspect of the whole experience. The other half of our party was stuck with what seemed to be the worst waitress in history and I will even name her... Michelle. Now this woman acted like you were asking if you could cut off a puppy toe every time you asked her for something. She took almost a half an hour to come over for the first time and then we had to ask our waitress to pickup the slack for her. Oh boy did that make Miss America just the happiest lil' peach! She never told us the kitchen was closing until it was almost too late and when we ordered some apps you thought we shot a baby in the face! The only time she even acted like this was her job was when it was closing timeat which time her used car-men fake plastic smile came out trying to get a last minute tip. If I could have actually gave her what we thought she deserved I probably would be in Police custody right now. The Phantom Booze-bag read more

Last Saturday we went to Mick Morgan's for the first time. I've passed by it many times but always thought it wasn't a place I'd ever visit. However, every time I pass by there always seemed to be a lot of cars parked in the lot. My husband and his friends and I were going to go Patriot's Place but there was a soccer game and I did not feel like waiting 2 hours for a table at Bar Louie's. I checked Yelp and there were mixed reviews about Mick Morgan's but decided to give it a shot. I am glad we went because it was pretty cool inside. I like the layout of the restaurant and the décor is okay. Just your normal pub style restaurant. It was pretty packed on Saturday and we waited for about 20-25 minutes but we were able to get drinks at the bar. The bartenders were attentive. Our buzzer went off and we were happy to sit down and order some food. Now here's where I have 2 different experiences - food and service. I'll start off with the bad... Service- Our waitress from the beginning was NOT happy at all. Not sure why. It was just the four of us, we were not drunk (I'm prego), and the minute she came to our table, she was not in a good mood. You can just tell she was not happy. I am not saying you have to cheer and be super happy to every customer but don't also put us in a bad mood because you are not having a good night. We did ask for separate checks but from the beginning (2 instead of 1). I think that is much better than asking to split one bill with multiple credit cards. That is the only thing we really asked. Maybe that is why she got annoyed, not sure why that would be annoying. Long story short, my husband who is MUCH more patient than I was getting really annoyed at how rude she was. The minute one of our friend's finished their meal, she would come by and take the plate, fork and everything away. Towards the end 2 more of our friends joined but where we were seated (right near the bar), they got drinks at the bar and just hung at our table on the bar side while we finished our meals. Finally we were going to get more drinks at the table but she gave our checks and said good bye. It was so rude so we got up and got drinks at the bar. Okay, that was the bad and now for the good. The food is pretty decent here. My husband got the buffalo chicken wrap with fries, I got the steak tips with rice and veggie, and the 2 friends got like a chicken rice stir fry dish and a cheeseburger with a fried egg with fries. We all really enjoyed our meals. I really liked their fries. My steak tips were cooked the way I wanted (medium). It came with this gravy, au jus type of sauce in a little cup. I wasn't really a fan of that.... But I ate the steak tips as is and it was flavorful enough. Overall, we would go there again. The hostess, bartenders, and servers were all nice and attentive. If we get that waitress again I am going to ask for another waitress because I want to enjoy my overall experience and not be tainted because some waitress is annoyed at the world. read more

Me and a friend wanted to grab lunch and we're from the area and thought we'd give it a try. As soon as we walked in the host didn't greet us and stood there staring at us for a couple seconds until we asked to be seated. She sat us right next to the kitchen which isn't that big of a deal but the waitresses were coming out of the side of the bar wasted and giggling and we over heard one of the girls calling another one "sloppy" and she couldn't even walk straight. We were both shocked at the unprofessionalism and our waitress took to long to come back to take our orders and when we would ask about something on the menu she really didn't have a clue. Our meals came out not even minutes after our app. The food was okay for pub food but the service was a joke. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

This is the worst place I've eaten in a long time. Baked Stuff shrimp was served with tartar sauce, not melted butter. The salad was put on the same plate with the french fries and shrimp and not even with the right salad dressing. The lobster ravioli had a cheese sauce on it, not a lobster sauce as advertised. Ordered a side salad, that never came because the waitress said she didn't know when I wanted it. The corned beef and cabbage was awful. Wait staff doesn't seem to know what they are doing. Refilled our soft drinks...but not with diet..good thing we asked as my husband is diabetic. They give you bread and butter plates, but don't serve bread and butter. There are no baked potatoes...boiled, french fries and mashed.Place was crowded...perhaps because it is fairly new. Waste of money. read more

Great bar area, good beers on tap, plenty of TVs, live music, great outdoor section, what more could you need? Oh right...food. That's why I gave this place 4 stars, but it's good enough pub food. The staff is great. We showed up to a packed house and were told it would be a 30 minute wait. About an hour later, the manager came over, apologized profusely and bought us a round of drinks. On a busy Saturday night, most restaurants would have said tough crap. read more

From the other reviews here, they seem to handle the dinner/bar scene pretty well. From my experience, their brunch service leaves much to be desired. I really do want to like this place, I do. As a local, having a great breakfast/brunch place to go to on the weekends would be fantastic. Unfortunately, Mick's is not the place. Our first experience left us waiting for over 45 minutes for our breakfast and a waitress that didn't seem to feel any need for speed. And the food was just ok .. nothing special, nothing that you can't get for less than half the cost and twice the speed at Friendly's. Except .. The Irish Pudding. Yes, that odd, spicy, blood looking sausage had me hooked. Nevermind that it grossed out everyone else at the table, it did force me to try Mick's again this past weekend in the hopes that it could still become out go-to brunch place. Nope. Although the food did come out faster (I would hope so, there were only 5 cars in the parking lot and only 2 other tables besides ours), the service was still pretty pokey and the food not much better. The worst may have been the over-easy eggs that I ordered. Yes, over-easy eggs should have runny yolks. However, the white of the egg should not sill be raw and sliding all over my plate. I would have been very happy to have graciously asked to have them reheated so that they solidified a bit, but since we didn't see our waitress again until about halfway through our meal, I didn't even bother. read more

NEVER AGAIN. I went there last night because I had gont to the Patriots game then stayed the night at the ECONOLODGE right next to Mick Morgans. My buddy and I had a drink each, and I started with the Appetizer platter. Expensive. $15.99 for 3 chicken fingers, 2 potato wedges, some jalapano poppers and some nacho's and 2 small buffalo wings. I then Ordered the Fishermans platter. when I finally got it, It tasted weird. I ate less than half of it and pushed it aside. when the waitress finally returned, she asked if I wanted it boxed up. I said no not the platter as it was rather disgusting. I order fisherman platters everywhere I go, love them. This was the first time I had one that did not taste, right? I asked her to pack up the appetizer platter. My buddy only managed to eat about half of hisburger then stopped saying it wasnt that tasty. he said to box his up and he would try it later. the waitress came back 5 mins later to tell me she talked to the kitchen staff and they said the only thing they would do is give me a dessert or comp my drink I had already drank. After we paid, we went back to the econolodge. about 4 hours after I got back I had to run to the bathroom. I spent the next 10 hours or so in the bathroom severe stomach pains, awful awful awful. I can only assumeit was my fisherman thing as we both ate the app plate but he did not have my fisherman platter and I didnt have his burger. I will never go back. I tried to call here about 2 hours ago and the woman who answered was pretty rude so i hung up. read more

Not thrilled. We were so psyched to go to Mick Morgan's to see Jim Plunkett. Brought us back to our youth. Knowing how busy it can get when there's a special act we arrived around 2:30pm so we could get great seats and have a bite to eat. When we arrived Jim was all setting up. Show was supposed to start at 3:30pm. It was in an email from Mick Morgan's as well as pasted up all over facebook and inside Mick Morgan's. Comes 3:45pm-4pm and Jim still hasn't started to play. I walked up to him and politely asked him when he was starting as we were starting to melt and replied soon. Around 4:15pm I went inside and asked to speak with a manager. Didn't get much a reply or explanation...pretty much a blank stare. So we got our bill and paid it. Just as we were leaving he started to play. As we walked by he "heckled" us somewhat. Happy Hour always starts at 4:30pm. Obviously someone got their signals crossed. It was very disappointing to say the least. Had we known the delayed start time we would have eaten inside and then come outside for the show. Oh well... you live you learn. Very very disappointed. read more

There were seven of us who met last Friday around 3:00 PM. A couple more showed up at 4:30. We were there to see a friend of ours who is going through cancer treatments and some of us had not seen him in a while. We went from the bar to the seating against the wall, that also had the stools. We only occupied one table, because some of us stood. We ordered drinks and everything was fine. About 4:50 another waitress approached us and asked if we had plans to eat. We said we were thinking about it. She said well "make up your minds because we have reservations coming in at 5:30". We asked what tables were to be reserved? She didn't know. At that point we decided to leave and go elsewhere. We, as a group, have met there many times before to plan our golf trips, however we will no longer be meeting there. We all agreed that she didn't handle the situation very professionally. Maybe, ask us to move to the back (Witch was empty) or any other solution except, "make up your minds". read more

I had a very lovely lunch today at Mick Morgan's. The food was delicious and the ambience very nice. They have an amazing amount of Kennedy photographs and keepsakes. In particular, our waiter, Seamus, was just the nicest, most helpful young man I've run across in any restaurant in a long time. I love Mick Morgan's. I'm a RI transplant, so I'm used to more Italian fare, but this is some of the best in Irish food that I've had. I was in last Saturday night with a friend for a Girl's Dinner after shopping at Patriot Place all afternoon. Our server, Lauren, was phenomenal. Friendly girl, attentive, but not hovering--great service! Mick Morgan's has the best potato skins, so we got those, and my friend got the clam chowder, which she really enjoyed. For entrees, I had the special, which was jumbo shrimp stuffed with what was basically a crab cake. Very tasty! My friend had the pulled pork--huge sandwich, she took half of it home. The only downer of the night was that I discovered in revamping their menu, they eliminated their Lobster Bisque. Very disappointing because it was one of the reasons I frequent this restaurant. The indoor bar is gorgeous, plenty of beer on tap and great mixed drinks as well. We'll be back. read more

I ate here a few times. I feel the food is not great for the price. The french fries were soggy and the burgers were just okay.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, this place has gone downhill. The service is terrible; slow, not attentive, and I've encountered several unfriendly servers. It has a cool outdoor bar, but there is always a strange smell inside. The food is terrible- will only go there for drinks if my friends are choosing the place! read more

Five of us stopped at Mick Morgan's after attending a basketball tournament in the area today. We were quickly seated as the restaurant was not very busy and quickly decided to start with drinks and apps as we were all starving. The party near us were served apps , drinks and their meals and we still didn't get our appetizer. We look up and they are coming with our meals ??? We stated we still had not been served our appetizer. As they returned the meals to the kitchen the waiter finally returned and stated he was sorry but it wasn't his fault the kitchen made a mistake and he would get our apps and assured us new meals would be made. After waiting quite awhile our apps finally arrived , they were OK. We then waited again as no one came to see if we needed anything else. Our dinners FINALLY arrived. My husband had fish and chips which he said were tepid. I had corned beef and cabbage which felt like it spent time under a heat lamp , the butter packets were all like water. my daughter in-law said her fish tacos were not hot, but we were all very hungry so we ate. the others got a sandwich and salad so they didn't complain. Again no one came to see if everything was OK or if we needed anything. By the time we got the bill we were all a bit upset and my husband finally spoke up and said how displeased we all were. The waiter immediately stated again that it was the fault of the kitchen but that he could comp us the appetizer platter. We never saw a manager which I think would have been what should have happened. This was a BAD experience and poorly handled ! read more

Absolutely terrible experience! The womens bathroom is deplorable. The odor almost caused vomiting and when I told the manager he didn't care. Great for watching a game outside at the bar, great food, and I highly recommend the bloody Mary's!

Just had an awful breakfast $8.00 for just plain eggs. Place was greasy and sticky. Last 3 times went because of outdoor seating but ended up inside. Steak tips did not seemed grilled. Burger was dry with no flavor. Rubin had barely any meat cut thick on terrible bread. I think we gave it enough chances. They need to upgrade the food. Getting as bad as the Needham St. Restaurant. Horrible experience. The experience was poor before we left the house. We had a vegetarian in our party, so we checked out their menu online for options. The online menu was not what was available at the restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant there was no one at the hostess station and didn't know how to get a table. When finally seated we asked about the online potions and was told the menus were changed a few days a go and they were in the process of upgrading the website. The funny thing is that the menus were all dog eared and well used. We were also told that they were out of several draft beers. when we were ready to order our meals we asked if they could make something from the web menu and was told that was not possible. We foolishly stayed and ordered what was available. And then we waited and waited and waited for about 45 minutes and then 3 of our 4 meals arrived and they were cold. After another 10 minutes, we asked the server about our missing male and was told they were short staffed and it was on its way. I wonder if they are preparing to close. It was a horrible experience and I will never attempt to eat there again. read more
