My bestie and man decided to thruple it up, and have dinner at Micheline last night. It was our first time and I'm excited to say that we will definitely be back. From the door, we were kindly greeted and immediately sat. Evelyn, the manager, frequently came to check on us and our experience and truly made our night special. Our server Cole was attentive and made great recommendations. Let's get to the food...I know that's why you're here. We started with the escargot, duck wings and the bone marrow app special. It was my first time having escargot and I pity any other restaurant that may serve these to me moving forward. We were given extra bread just to make sure we could dip it in all of its garlicky, oily wonderfulness. The duck wings had a great Asian, sticky-wing type of flavor (another first for me) and the bone marrow just melted in your mouth. If you like the fatty part of the steak, say "yes" to the marrow. *chefs kiss* For entrees we had the chicken leg special, steak frite (you get a choice of cut) and the salmon. We were all just taking bites off of each other's plate all night. The gravy that came with the chicken special was perfect and paired amazingly with the crispy skin of the chicken. The steak; cooked PERFECTLY! (You see the pics!) & that salmon in the beurre blanc?! More perfection. Like the good children we are, we ate all our food and felt we deserved dessert. We ordered two apple tarts, which they outsource, and the crème brûlée. The apples were sweet and tender and I never have any bad words for crème brûlée . We also ended our evening with some cappuccinos and a healthy pour of amaro noninno; just devine. To top it all off, we noticed a DJ setting up towards the end of dinner service. I came here for Sunday brunch with a few friends, and Micheline did not disappoint. The aesthetic is pristine, clean, modern, and surprisingly calm for a weekend brunch. We had a noon reservation and there were only two or three other parties, so it was super easy to book and felt refreshingly unhurried. The staff was fantastic. They welcomed us warmly, even offering to take our jackets, which was a nice touch. The menu has a solid mix of breakfast staples like omelettes, pancakes, and eggs Benedict as well as lunch options like a burger, salads, and a turkey club. I went with the eggs Benedict and they were perfect. The potato hash came in a fun triangular shape; very crispy... almost too crispy, to the point I wondered if it was intentional, but still tasty. My partner got the pancakes and wow, huge. And delicious. Overall, great service, great food, and a gorgeous atmosphere. Would definitely return! read more

Came for breakfast Pleasant staff and open space. Got busy by noon or so. Had the eggs Benedict with a potato something. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Small pieces of Canadian bacon and English muffin on the tiny side. Bread was not toasted and nothing on it just the bacon and egg. Hollandaise was on Side and cold. No taste really. The potatoes were wedges that were deep fried and way too crispy and oily I will go back to check it out again for sure. read more

We have been patiently awaiting our first ever visit to Micheline as we knew the location from its former entity - The Metro Diner- located right in the village of Scarsdale. The buzz has been fairly good but there has been some mentions of it being too loud. This appears to have been corrected with noise buffers on the ceiling. The place is nicely decorated with the former counter transformed to a lively bar scene. Service standards are high here and the hostess is particularly pleasant and downright bubbly. We went there on Valentine's Day so most tables were set for couples. We ordered a bottle of Beaujolais and it was served a bit too cold but that's ok. The friendly waiter described the specials and he was attentive. Our table was crumbed also excessively. I would rate my courses as follows: 1st- Onion soup- excellent 2nd- Salmon- Very good 3rd - Apple and quince tart- fair Everyone else enjoyed their dishes - there was a pork special, a duck dish, and a salmon app. The music and vibe of this relatively new restaurant (1 year) is fun, upbeat and jovial. The owner is present and he is accommodating and personable. Overall pricing to me was a tad high- $18 for the onion soup and $17 and $24 for the desserts...I've yet to meet a $31 burger worth that price. I think that if this restaurant maintains its passion and high service levels, moderates it's pricing, and fine tunes a few things they will have a long and successful run. read more

This was literally the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. When we arrived, they were out of two main courses already at 7:40 PM. The menu isn't tremendous so it was a bit strange. When we got our appetizer, I got a plate that didn't reflect what was on the menu. They were supposed to be shaved vegetables in my salad and there was only lettuce with no explanation. It also took forever. Then someone came over the tell us they were out of artichokes and offered a complimentary side dish. Then we waited at least an hour till our meal came out. My food came out cold. I sent it back. They brought it back. It was still cold. I sent it back a second time and it came back lukewarm at best and was not good and did not include all of the vegetables that were stated on the menu. The manager kept apologizing and giving us more alcohol. He was a nice guy, but what was happening was completely unacceptable. At one point I looked around the restaurant and no table in the entire restaurant had food. We were all waiting forever. He gave us a bunch of free desserts we didn't want, and I think the cheesecake was spoiled. I have no idea what was going on and it was my first time at the restaurant so maybe this was a random event, but it was the worst experience I've ever had and he did not comp our meal. Had high hopes that the food quality would match the service. Special appetizer tonight was fava bean hummus w Crudite. Tasteless teaspoon full spread across the plate with some zucchini and carrots. For 16$ ridiculous. I had mussels delicious. Frites too. My partner had the special steak. Shrunken piece of 45$ meat. Dessert is the real scam. Ice cream and sorbet allegedly made on site. Don't bother. Unless you enjoy ice crystals. The service was so good I hate to give this review but they need to get the kitchen in order and make a real French restaurant for which I would happily pay. We came here for dinner and the place was empty. Hostess asked for our name and phone number to text us that we could be seated, but the place was empty. Our server was amazing and the best server I ever had in any restaurant. She said the prices of the specials, which I never had anywhere else. She inquired about allergies, which I never had anywhere else. She asked if we wanted more bread, which I did have at a few places. She provided a hook to hang a bag at the table, which I never had anywhere else. She did not change her pleasant demeanor when I ordered the cheapest item on the menu, which I never had anywhere else. That was the high point of eating here. We had the duck, nicoise salad, escargot, and dessert. Two other tables arrived after us. The neighboring table had to send back their salad. I do not know why. Despite being the first to arrive at an empty restaurant the food took 1 hour to arrive. My salad was a scam. It did not have olives or anchovies which were on the menu. I wanted to see how nicer places handled anchovies. The duck, escargot, and dessert were okay nothing special but no complaints. I don't remember the exact place I first heard of Micheline - I think it may have been a targeted ad on one of the social media sites which linked me to an article and video about its impending opening. Anyway, this looked like a really nice spot and a refreshing change to the usual dining options in Westchester. That being said, I made plans with one of my friends to have dinner here and catch up, so off we went. Micheline is located in the main commercial hub of Scarsdale, directly across the street from the Metro North and close to several other businesses. The exterior stands out with these large blue awnings, and once inside you're greeted by an open dining space with tables scattered throughout. The aesthetics were bright with high ceilings, and a white color scheme which gave the space a fresh look. The acoustics were terrible, though - it was way too loud in there which took away from the aura. The menu highlights French cuisine, and has a good variety of apps and mains. Before food, though, we started with a drink - I was feeling wine and they had a good selection of reds on the menu. I then decided to start with the French Onion Soup (in a French restaurant? groundbreaking). The soup was pretty good - the broth had a lot of flavor and they didn't skimp on the bread or cheese. For my main I got the seared fluke which was just okay - it had good flavor, but I felt the fish was a smidge rubbery and not as a flaky as I expected. We also ordered two sides: the brussels sprouts and fries; these were just fine, but almost tasted like they had been made a while ago and left under the heating lamps - they didn't taste fresh. We then finished by sharing two desserts: the apple tartine and the chocolate tart. The tartine was fine albeit nothing too outstanding; the chocolate tart was better, but I felt it needed a sprinkle of sea salt to dampen the bitterness. Overall, for being open for only about a month, I think Micheline has potential - they just need to make some adjustments in order to be great. The aforementioned acoustics takes away from the mood, and I also think the entrance can be a little more welcoming - there's a small foyer immediately upon entry and you need to open another door before seeing anyone. The quality of the food was underwhelming, especially given the price - it was fine but nothing wowed me. Finally, while everyone was friendly, service was slow. I would be willing to return, though I would wait a few months to see if anything changes. I really appreciate a restaurant like this being in Westchester, and think that it really has the potential to be a destination spot in the county. read more

One of our favorite spots in the area. The service is always so friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. We've eaten here numerous times since it first opened, and in the rare circumstance that something is off with the meal, they correct things immediately and congenially. My son usually goes for the escargot and the burger. My wife and I often start with the oysters or cheese plates, and then try something different for an entree and have not been disappointed yet. The cocktails are unique and delicious as well. As others have mentioned, they have corrected issues with the acoustics, making for a great experience all around. read more

We LOVE Micheline and you will too. It's an elegant addition to Scarsdale's dining options. At this point, I've pretty much had everything on the menu and never had a bad meal. Indeed, each meal was excellent. The service is unfailing, the ambiance is terrific, the drinks are strong, the wine list excellent and the owner, Jonathan, is as gracious a host as one could ever want. He treats each customer like family and creates a warm, hospitable environment that really makes you feel like you're at home with friends. Can't say enough great things. read more

The best part of this place was the fish and steak were cooked beautifully. The flavors are traditional French cuisine. I ordered the cod. It came with a mushroom sauce. The knock your socks off dish is the moules marineres starter. I would give this place 4 starts just for that dish alone. The greeting at the door was welcoming . The vibe was a haughty pretentious one. We like to try out different places for date night and this one just felt a little off in that department. The owner asked us where we are from what brings us in. After saying my husband served in the military he proceeded to say he would thank him for his service if he served for Iran. Is this an actual 5-Star French restaurant? No but it comes close and it's fairly new so it is on track and has great potential of becoming five stars. In this part of Scarsdale you're definitely drawing a snobbery clientele so you better be on point. However I rated it 5 stars based on a few factors. 1st: it's a great addition to this part of Scarsdale. 2nd: excellent service 3rd: great drinks, wine selection including local draft beers 4th: food will not disappoint if you like French cuisine 5th: price, it's not cheap but considering the quality service and ambience it's well worth it. We went the last weekend in March. The dishes are definitely a heavier winter season type food menu. I'm hoping they change it for the spring/summer season and will be eager to try it if they do change it. read more

I eat out several times a week. If the bread presentation is bad that's a red flag. The waiter cones over with a piece of bread like you're feeding a bird. Its not even warm The worst is yet to come . Poorly designed dinner menu with only 5 options. Presentation was lacking on most dishes. Tuna tartare was a dish full of potatoe chips. Entree chicken was tiny but flavorful. Onion soup for my date was cold Ordered the chocolates for dessert. Straight out of a box. 4 on a plate and hard as a rock. Excellent service and always came quick and served to perfection. John always treats you like family and the staff always are attentive and caring. Especially Sean, excellent bartender and Rossetti makes the best freestyle drinks but still super presentable and unique. They have a vast array of options on the menu and is both vegan friendly, and ability to cater to any allergies especially people who suffer from gluten. Who ever controlled the room temperature couldn't figure it out, it was either hot of freezing. They either have an on off button or don't know how a thermostat works. My first trip to Micheline. Will be the first of many. Food was really good -- each dish unique in its own way. Onion soup was superb, the burger the best I have had in the past year (and I am difficult). Service was great; the waitress was in extremely knowledgeable and went out of her way to explain the source of some of the dishes, etc. Her suggestions were helpful and had real credibility. Mussels were really tasty and the texture was unusual -- making for a multi-sensory experience! Had dinner at this new French resto in Scarsdale recently. I had just returned from a month in France and was expecting a great French dinner. It certainly did not impress. At these prices they should at least have had white tablecloths. Ordered the apple tart for desert which was actually a tarte tatin but no waiter or even the GM knew what a tarte tatin was. Conclusion: Micheline is over the top expensive for ordinary French-like cuisine and not for Francophiles. Hopefully, over time, it will improve. read more

Between 3.5 and 4 stars. Went on a Friday night, was not super busy, about half full. Ambiance was great. A little loud, but didn't bother me. I felt transported to the West Village briefly, but more spacious. Service was attentive, my water glass was always filled. Food was good, but at the price point, I expected more. Had the escargot, brussel sprouts, and burger with fries. Escargot was good, tasted almost the same as the ones at Le Diplomate in DC, except without the shells . Would skip the brussel sprouts, pretty small portion, not crispy, and pricey at $15. Burger was good, was a little heavy with the dressing. Would get the dressing on the side next time to maintain the integrity of the bun and only use what you need. I was looking forward to the crispy chicken confit, but it was not on the menu that night. The space is great, the food has potential, would try it again in a few months. read more

Went last night for the first time, based on many positive reviews that have been posted on-line. The wait staff was very attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable. We ordered drinks but had to wait about 15 minutes to receive, which was odd given the bar area was completely empty. For the meal, I started with the Onion Soup which was quite good. My entree was the Coq Au Vin. This by far was the strangest Coq Au Vin I have ever seen- it looked two hockey pucks on a plate- one piece with the outside fried and the other piece wrapped around as if it was a piece of sausage. While some would say this was creative, I think it stretched the bounds of what Coq Au Vin is supposed to be. The taste was OK- nothing special. My wife ordered the shoulder steak- after a few minutes, the waiter came back and advised they were out of the shoulder steak- AT 8:15 ON A SATURDAY NIGHT? That was disappointing. She then switched over to the strip steak with fries. When her meal was served, the steak was cold and had to be returned to be heated up. Additionally, they forgot to bring the fries out and WE HAD TO ASK TWICE before the fries were served. We also had a second round of drinks- my wife a glass of wine and a scotch for me. I asked for the scotch on the rocks and the waited asked if I wanted regular crushed ice or a single cube. I asked for the crushed ice and received the drink with a single cube. While this was not a big deal, it just added to an evening that was not quite right. Micheline markets itself as a high end eatery and is certainly not cheap (many would call it expensive)- therefore the types of issues we had should not be occuring. We did not have dessert and when we received the check, the waiter told us they took the one glass of wine off the bill. That in our opinion was an insufficient gesture given the number of issues we had. In any event, we paid up, left and unfortunately will not be returning. read more

Micheline is superb! We have had 5 outstanding experiences at this new French establishment... everything is delicious --duck confit salad to foi gras to chicken liver pate` to roasted beet salad to salmon tartare... the steak frites and hamburger are the BEST around!  The menu changes and reflects the great care that goes into each dish. The sides are also fantastic!  Brussels, broccoli, and macaroni gratines but the fries in duck fat are INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!  Wine selection, too, is excellent. Overall, this place is spectacular --decor is gorgeous and immaculate and service is equal to the best NYC attentiveness... Owner Jonathan is so charming and a true professional with an amazing pedigree in the restaurant biz. They now have a brunch menu that looks fantastic!  Tuesday night is a special martini and burger night!  Absolutely LOVE this place! read more

Will not be returning. Weve been here on several occasions since it opened and initially we loved but the food isn't what it was back then. Avoid both the steak frites (filet-that I got, and strip that my husband got.) Both arrived at the table charred to death and though cooked appropriately on the inside were completely cold- both of them. We were asked if she'd like us to "heat them up" When you're paying $75 for a steak you expect it re-fired completely, not heated up. Both were sent back and the sides were ordered sat and got cold until the steaks arrived back in fact "heated up." Terrible. I ordered the less than overwelming salmon tartar because I was starving and didn't want to wait another 15 minutes. Our other party ordered the fish and I thought it was the wrong dish as it most definitely looked like a small appetizer. This is a lovely space with kind service, they need to get it together with the food. Bummer. read more

No question, THE FINEST RESTAURANT in Westchester County, NY. Look you out to eat for a good meal and to be pampered with service. Micheline has the best food north of the City. Period, end of story. From the burger to the fish to the meat, the food is delicious. Always paired with the perfect wine. I'm a beaujolais guy but their selection is vast. I've been twice now. The space is beautiful and welcoming and the staff are friendly and efficient. The vibe is fun and lively. But the food is draw. Everything was cooked perfectly and very fresh. I can't find one thing to complain about, lol. My favorite appetizers were the chicken confit, the tuna, the escargot and the shrimp toast. My favorite entrees were the Fluke, the Hake, and the steak au poivre. The French fries were the best I've ever had, I kid you not. I'll be back, for sure! read more

Decided to check this place out because I always pass it on my way to work. First of all, the food was absolutely horrible. Came out cold and soggy and had no flavor. Let's not even get started on the service, I was greeted by a man who I believe is the owner and he was so rude. I wanted to wait for my friend to get to the place before I was seated and he rudely said I can't wait for her and need to sit right away or the table will be given to someone else. I watched him with other customers and he was just rude. I will never be going back here we felt unwelcome and unsatisfied with our service received. read more

Our waiter,Derrick, was excellent as was the food For apps we had the onion soup, snails and the salad with pears. All delicious. Mains were both fishes and pork. Fish was superb.
